i thought they would trade young prospects like OG to get him, which would be dumb as fuck.

got a lot of retards on reddit crying trading derozan and the lack of loyalty. fuck off. raptors were loyal for 5 playoff seasons and all he did was shoot like garbage, played no defense and cost the team games. at what point do you make a move? lol. 5 fucking years choking in the playoffs, jesus fuck.

it's a bit of a risky trade because kawhi is a retarded fucking goof who may fake an injury cause he's a sulky bitch that wants to play in L.A for some reason, but i think it was a risk worth making.. particularly when you don't even give up your young guys like OG.

if he does sit out all year at least you can get the rebuild started early.  Actually i just remembered i said previously that being a good regular season team that gets bounced in the playoffs every year isnt THAT bad a thing, but this move is still good, for this year's potential ceiling and for long-term rebuilding.

can you just sit out for no reason? that's can't even be legal. and when shit like this comes out, you got to question any injury claims he might come up with.
also why the fuck would he want to sit out after not playing basketball most of last season? even if he's not interested in playing for the raptors long term you'd think it's in his best interest to get a season  of basketball in to get back in shape at the very least.

You cant sit out for no reason, but you can pretend to be injured I guess.  I mean he just did that last season right

If you sit out without injury it doesn't count toward your free agency and youre still just under contract for that year I think.

Hmm trade not necessarily bad but looks like the raptors fucked it up when they lied to DeRozan that he wasn’t going anywhere.

all franchises do that.

what should they tell derozan if they're looking to trade him but there is really no guarantee he'll be traded.. tell him yea we're looking to trade you and then it doesn't happen and he goes into the next season realizing they tried to trade him lol.

They must have done it wrong somehow.  like at that point they definitely knew they were thinking of trading him, no way they didnt.  so they oughta say something like, look, we love you on the raptors, youre our guy, we'd love to keep you in toronto but we cant promise nothing comes up.

it's a very different rudy gay

oh i forgot about his surgery

is next season the most intriguing one in a long time? not so much about who will win , warriors already won..
but lebron to lakers, kawhi to raptors, demar on the spurs, lots of big changes.

I think Rockets maybe couldve beat Warriors if they brought back Ariza. They came close this time even with the Chris Paul injury.  Demarcus Cousins shouldnt actually be good next year since he'll be in recovery.
