2ND Amendment Good or Bad?

The 2nd Amendment says,

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Personally I don't have much love for the 2nd amendment. I was born in a heavy democratic state where owning a gun was seen as a bad thing. With that said I don't think guns are "evil" as many of my neighbors believe.
Hunting is a sub culture thru out America. And I respect Americans who use guns responsibly with no intent to cause harm to anyone else.

I think guns are bad and should (mostly) be banned. I think there should be a very small number of valid exceptions for people who need guns to secure their safety or livelihood from wild animals.
While I agree with you that many people use guns responsibly, by supporting the status quo they are indirectly contributing to mass gun violence, and share in that responsibility.

However, I think guns should be banned through a constitutional amendment process. I don't like all the flirting (or in some cases, actually doing) we have done in the past couple of decades fooling with the constitution through legislation. It's brought us to a dangerous place where way too many people are OK with taking away basic rights from their fellow citizens so long as it agrees with their views.

Guns should be banned for white people only. POC's all get guns issued by the state and paramilitary training.

in the case of amerikkka i think they've proven countless times they can not be trusted with guns. ban is the only proper solution. at the very least much tighter regulations. every halfwit seems to be walking around with a gun in that country.

Out of curiosity I did see how to obtain a handgun from my state. In NY it’s not really worth the time or hassle to go thru the process to obtain one. There is a long application process riddled with fees and an interview with the police one must do before obtaining one.
However if one were to drive 3 hours to the neighboring Pennsylvania one could obtain a gun with only a Pennsylvania ID.
State gun restrictions do mean very little if a neighboring state has lax restrictions.

They fucked up with that amendment, lol!  Now the country is completely awash in guns and people are killing each other all the time!  Not only that, we pump them out and dump them all across the world for blood and profit!

It's worth pointing out that in this cracker nation any gun regulation that's passed will be enforced disproportionately against minorities and other oppressed peoples, and that also, this country is evil and should be done away with.  And it's not like all the guns can ever be taken away as things exist... so unfit people like racists and school shooters will be hard to stop even if you try to pass some new laws to limit gun proliferation.  So, in the meantime, I don't really care what they do with the gun laws... Once we achieve socialism, hopefully we can phase firearms out of private hands.

Can you give an example of a gun regulation that disproportionately affected minorities?

You can’t really abolish the 2nd amendment with out permanently changing the definition of what it means to be an American. The American spirit has always been rebellious and in large measure defined by a rugged individuality. The indomitable spirit of the Cowboy, Gangster, entrepreneur & patriot represent much of the American spirit today. A major precept of our Constitution is allowing concentrations of power inevitably corrupts and requires a counter balance to guard against tyranny and abuse of power. History is littered with state sanctioned abuses  & Atrocities that could have been much worse if the people didn't have the ability to protect themselves. Oddly we reveer aberrational anti-heros like Davey Crocket, Wyatt Earp, Al Capone, 2pac who took matters into their own hands & fashioned their own version of street justice when the law wasn’t equipped or fell short of correcting an injustice. Would Stalin have been able to kill 30 million people if everyone was strapped?  During World War2 the Japanese could have advanced all the way to Chicago before we could have pushed them back, 1 of the main reasons they decided against an invasion was all the gun ownership acted as a deterrent.

Gary Kleck criminologist’s study of gun defense nearly mirrors the CDC results, which show 2.2 - 2.5 million defensive uses involving a firearm each year. Worth allowing the victimization of millions of people to potentially safe a few thousand lives? 20X more likely to die of a heart attack 3x more likely to die in a road crash. 265 million guns in the us and outlawing them would only ensure open season for the criminals to pray on the defenseless by stripping them of their 1 legal chance of defending themselves. Outlaw 3d printers too? Maybe outlaw knives like the UK wants to so acid attacks become the new norm?

Automatic weapons existed before the Constitution and kids used to leave their rifles on the bike racks at school. The guns haven’t changed much but the moral decay & emptiness of society is responsible for much of the ugliness in the world today. The media hardly covers Good Guys with Guns who’ve prevented terrorist attacks and stopped mass shooters.

1 of the largest contributors to gun violence stems from Democrats. More Americans were killed in Chicago last year than the last 7 years fighting in Afghanistan combined. They went from a 60% homicide solve rate in the 90s to 17.5% under current democratic leadership. Dems made an unholy alliance with gangs who muscled voters to the polls like Chalky White and anyone who rebels catches a beat down. In exchange gang leaders get a degree of police protection and autonomy over how their turf is ruled, they also receive $ through bogus programs like “2nd chance jobs for youths”. Shameful dems allow their fellow citizens to be slaughtered for the spoils of crony capitalism.

Beyond that encouraging dependency to the state instead of a suitable partner also increases the likelihood of growing up in a fatherless home, which increases the odds you will turn to violence and crime.  Beyond that, mental health screening and an alert system for disturbed individuals seems like a sensible solution we haven’t tried to deal with all the crazies. I don’t feel the need for a gun, but I sympathize for the weak, elderly and women who aren’t able to defend themselves. There are awful instances where a  son was forced to have sex with his mother over and over after 7 guys took their turn with her. A veteran grandpa was abducted walking his dog and Butt Fucked by 4 black guys (maybe repressed prison thing?) i’d rather accept a little more risk in my life and be aware of my surroundings, than let the weak be easy prey, it's called being a Man when you stand up for the innocent
