One ip by mail is great for one reason, it make peoples who get ban tired pretty fast of creating new account over and over by this way.

But from the other side, it's bad because he dint allow anymore peoples to smurf, and smurf is still an important part of this game...

I mean i dont like smurf in any official decision or any official tournament/league etc.

But smurf is great for different reason from exhibition POV.

When you stop playing for couples month and getting back, so you want to pratice yourself a bit before to get on your real account.

Smurf is also great when you want to pratice on different map your not really good.

Smurf is also great when you want to see how far you can go in win victory before lose...

I mean smurf is a important part of this game from a side, from other side i dont think they deserve to get in important decision league or tournament... But Smurf is a part of war2.

Just a though I could go hardware serials And slow them down alot faster. We can evaluate what the hacker is doing if he is running our client If he is not he cant connect. We can see the values he was changing and determine what type of hack. Add to black list, next. I bet the community will see a huge difference and grow. Look at all the people who don't even play because of cheating....

yes, hardware serial is the way to go if you ask me.

also yes, anti-hack should definitely be one of the priorities, but it's a lot of work too so obviously everyone's patient

Looks like some people are listening to what I have to say. ;)

I envisioned something a bit more formal though.  I think that if we are to run with this idea of community voting, we should consider guidelines and a set format for bringing forward a case like this.  For example, specifying who is being accused and the proposed punishment.  In this case, I think a warning would be suitable: If USA~Archer doesn't remove the link on his website by a certain deadline, the admins will remove all links to his website on the forum (including the one in his profile).  Advertising it on the the forum or server after the deadline while the hack link is still there should result in a ban of x amount of days and so on per repeated offense.  I think there should also be a set amount of days for a poll like this to avoid waiting a month for a resolution.  I think we can rework the system as we go along to ensure that fair judgments and punishments are made.

I'm still not sure how the admins feel about this or how the rest of the community feels about it, but I think it's a better way.  I trust the admins with their judgments, but I also consider that there's a multitude of wisdom among us and we're only using a small portion of it.  As the current ruling system has become widely recognized as Hitlerism 2.0, I think the ruling system I've proposed will be seen in a more positive light.
Oh nice!, you cocksuckers gonna bully a guy off the server. DAM, someone give Rit a medal for promoting such behavior. [emoji35] [emoji107]

You call it bullying.  I call it respecting the wishes of the majority of the community.  If the community wants no association with a website that promotes a hack, then I think they have the right to be rid of links that lead to that website on their server and forum.  I also think it's better than the initial intention to just ban him.  Is it not reasonable for us to ask for this link to be removed from our community when the majority of the community agrees it should?

You have the option to present a counterargument for the case and sway voting.  A little reasoning can go a long way.

By the way, do we have the option to change our votes as long as the poll is open?  It would be nice if we could either disable voting for a certain amount of time so that when a case is presented it can be discussed first or if voters could just change their votes based on a counterargument that resonated with them.

My intention is not to ban users. Everybody is welcome here but don't just promote hacks.
This is the reason I ended it all.

admins have spotted hacking links in the past. (and removed them)
and they will do so now. (take action)
i have no reason to think otherwise
stop with the "deomacacy" (poll is not needed)
admins have common sense

but
guess what
they also have a life
this will get resolved
once someone puts attention to it
its not the same as the people here hitting f5 and expecting a result the next 5 mins.

As i posted in different thread:
I think hackers should go to get banned. So, you advertise the hacks, some people can try that and then they should go to ban (bad for community) or probably find the way to avoid ban and keep playing with hacks (even worse for community).
So what a good resaon to advertise hacks here?
If one decides to hack, he will find hack without our help, then he have to be banned, so don't attract people for that.
So i think we should not provoke people to hack, to give any links to hacks to links to pages with links to hacks, to publish names of hacking tools, etc.

I don't see any positive reasons to share hacks between the community.
So my offer is to explain that to people and to ask them to remove their links to hacks. I don't like to be in war with our people, to delete someone's signatures, to ban someone's accounts or w/e.

I think that such poll is a good example of democracy: some of you are right that our admins are far from community wishes, so why not to ask players?
I think i missed this obvious question while posting the Rules poll, but here's a good addition to the Rules as soon as we have such problem.

This poll is obviously going to be a landslide.

If we follow the results of this poll, it means we'll inform him that unless he removes the hacks, we'll have to turn off his signature, etc.

If he continues to spread the link and the link has hacks, we'll have to ban him.

Is that really what people want?  Just want to make double sure.
