Congrats to u8t3io3p for being the first player to collect $25 competing on the ladder. There is still $75 left in the prize pool so if your a top tier player now is your chance to make some extra cash.

Hum started watching the first game 5 minsat work...12 vs s9/9 dual. I'll watch them when I get time at home hopefully.

1. Can you hotkey grunts and is it the same ctrl-(0-9) key? Was the main base (12) hotkeyed? These are hotkeys I don't use....I find it awkward to hotkey units....

Hi Tora,

im wondering why a game takes around 20mins to show up on the ladder.
Cant we fix it, that a won/lost game shows up immeditaly after the game finished?!

Its hard to check if the games are counting for not.

The update script automatically runs every 20 minutes or so.  You can tell if the game will count by looking at the game report and seeing if it's borked or nto.

Or what advanatge do you have when u wait 20 minutes... Im just asking because i dont see anything good at it.

1) u cant make count asap - its ok.... but bad!

The ladder doesn't/can't count each game as it is played, because the reports aren't sent to it - I am not sure how they could be but it would require editing how the server handles games and game reports.  Not being able to do that when I coded the ladder, I used only the publicly available information, from here: http://ladder.war2.ru/oldgames.php (http://ladder.war2.ru/oldgames.php)

So, the ladder updates by scanning the game reports log for new reports every X often.  Right now 20 minutes.  I think we had it more frequently at one time, but if a previous scan is still running when the new scan starts, that can cause problems.  Anyway, the more often it runs the more taxing I think it is on the server

I can't keep up with these new guys anymore. Played swag today and barely got by him. I was doing well and then he just swamped me in the last 4 games. One game I was 4 vs him at 2 and he just wrecked me about as hard as I've ever been. I don't know if the series outcome has to with how good they are or how much I suck, but I should probably quit this game while I'm ahead haha because it gets worse for me every year now.

Damn Swift was a total dick to Swag in that 11/9 vs S5/6 game... :(

Swag is super cool and and amazing player..sucks to see that...

Played swag again today, he's really good. Started out rough going 1-3 and I turned it around ending it at 9-4. I don't think the ladder works though, as it's not counting all the games.

It takes some time for it to report all the games fully.
Also if a watcher builds while u are in your series it doesn't count.
I just reviewed the ladder currently it shows u guys fluctuated quited a bit in your ranking.

If you have the warvids/ streams from your series I am willing to accept that as proof.

 Forgive my wording from the previous post. I don't doubt you guys did have a big series.

All payouts  tournament/ladder defenses need to be streamed/warvided so players can enjoy them at there own convinience.

This is one rule I will not budge on. If you need help setting up a stream on twitch you can pm mousetopher.

I don't really believe in the AH necessarily. I just am willing to bet people are going to be highly less likely to be messing around with hacks if they know they're using an in-game program that might potentially detect the hacks.

As for streaming, it depends if I can get the FPS lowered. I have really slow internet, and whenever I warvid even at 30 FPS it lags me.

Is to possible to let 1on1 games count when a watcher discs? You basically have 2 people building + 1 discer (ya i know, no information provided). It's highly unlikely that those games woulda been a 3 player ffa or 2v1

i had two series vs u8 and 4 games didn't count.

Need multiple ladders, separated for each level of player.

Example (doesn't have to be like this though)

U8/Braviet/Medivh/Viruz would compete for Tier 1 Ladder

SPB/Jordan/Ogremage/Allstar Tier 2 Ladder

Then players a level below them, Tier 3 Ladder
