Title: hotkeys and chat

Hi,

for some reason, I could never use the ingame chat in multiplayer games. Hotkeys don't work for me either, I have to hand-click everything. Any idea how to fix this? Maybe some people here had the same problem.
I'm running Warcraft through Wine, maybe that has something to do with it.

Player Jos also uses Linux I think but he isn't here, but is sometimes at the discord server (http://en.war2.ru/discord)

RipE[Eur0], I've actually been to the Linus Torvalds auditorium in the Helsinki University. A big fan :)

Hi, welcome to the Linux war 2 users!!!
The problem is known and the work around is presented in the guide that mousey send you!
In short, you will need to use xinit -- :1
In order to play with keyb or play war 2 as a window.
Feel free to ask me any questions. If you have troubles with using xinit there are several work arounds that I haven't fully documented but I'll tell you if needed.

I'm playing on a Mac. The Wineskin interface is pretty much the same, so I managed to fix my graphical issues using your tutorial, but I don't have the same set of command line tools that you have on Linux (even though Mac is UNIX), so I can't follow your instructions to the letter. Can you perhaps give me some further advice?

Hmm,

I have never tried it at macos.
I will have to search about it. Now it is too late here. I will try tomorrow. I have a rather full day, but I will try to at least find the equivalent commands.
