via UDP hole punching (aka firewall hole punching)

If someone writes the script and can prove it works I'll pay up. I made the same offer on the pvpgn forums.

We currently aren't accepting donations. The fix has been present for years. Create a VPN specifically for Warcraft 2 traffic. The server must be on the same VPN network. The Warcraft 2 Combat Edition installer gives an option for random ports already. You are done.



Only thing RU is missing is VPN. If you're connection can't handle 56k in and out from a VPN. You definitely experience lag already... This could also be used to ban/disable people from connecting. Disable their account, create an automated website to create these VPN accounts when you register.


You just solved 2 major problems.
1. Hosting
2. Effective banning
