I guess we had the info we needed already ;/ Dont look good.....

Map info:
Standard i 32x32, 64x64, 96x96 and 128x128.
        The minimap in the game will automatic fit it self to the size.

        The map can be any size you want, but max. 128x128.
        Just be sure that MTXM,SQN,OILM and REGN correspond to that size, or
        contains enough data to make a map, else you get an error. The
        x and y size has to be the same size, in fact no the don't, because
        the game will always make a map out of the y size. (looks like
        the x size is just fill ?)
        If the y size is off standard, the minimap in the game will
        default to 128x128, but the units movement on the map will correspond
        to the size, and so the white square, the fog of war thing will
        move as to a 128x128 map.
        The editor will make an error if you try to read an off standard map
        size.

Player Info:

Appendix E: "Unusable" 7 players.

This 7 players is not really in the game, so the can't be used as normal
players. However there are some use for them.
They don't work as passive computer, human or computer, if set to this
they just stand there, looking funny.

If set to rescue(active), you can rescue them, and the become you
units, whom you can control as normally.

If rescue(active) has a peon/peasant, he will only build a town hall
and x number of farm, depending of the number of peon/peasant he has, then
stop and do nothing.

If set to rescue(passive), you can rescue his units, and then control
them.

So if you are in need of more rescue players on your map, you can used
the  "unusable" 7 players.

Note : player 14 unit will never be displayed ?, but he's units IS on
the map, because you can't build were he's units would have been !.

Would be possible to make watchers from these 7 players?
No idea how to pass some steps on this way: to make proper map, to join the game with more than 8 players. Doubt that war2 supports more than 8 players, need to find and disable many checks even if more than 8 players are possible, even for players with no units.

I'm thinking maybe there is no code for those 7 players. So the best we could possibly use them for is orc or human for 2 races in a map which could be done. I posted screen shot and steps on how modify the map editor. Also posted the units and values to scan for each player. I will check farther into it just got done with an oil change on my truck.

they wont go on bnet as they are player 9 and up just forget they existed.
unless u can exe hero 8)

streaming has it beat anyhow.

In one of the editors you could have more then 8 already I think it was neutral unit. Hmm I might have found more players then he did. Let me check the other thread.

Ohh maybe I did hmmmm.
this causes a crash LOL!!! Look at all the units and the messed up colors.
176 = red
177 = blue
178 = blah and so on
after 191 you start getting different units (Nothing playable yet.)

Well so the map editor uses player 15 the last player available  map side at least.

8 bytes         8 player slots (0-7)
    7 bytes         "unusable" 7 player slots (8-14)
    byte            neutral (15)

    should be:

    0x02             passive computer
    0x03             nobody
    0x04             computer
    0x05             human
    0x06             rescue (passive)
    0x07             rescue (active)

    can also be:

    0x00             passive computer
    0x01             computer
    0x08 - 0xff      passive computer

I noticed unit 192 can only have a Skelton or daemon. Weird can't even give it a start point.

Bump! Let's try to find the requirements to make 14 units play and not 8 playing and 7 other standing there...

1. Player = Human, Computer, Unused
2. AI
3. Add units to game - done
4. Add start locations for those units. - done
5. Resources
5. Controller for the slot

Easycompany did you find the locations for 1, 2 yet?

dont think it will work man ... yeah i found a good creep thats about it....but only player 9*...he operates once attacked he will chase down.

may have to use wargus. :(

yes 1 and 2 i have ....the ai settings doesnt affect unit...the difference about 9 is that he does have a mini map square.

:o i havent yet built him a town :o maybe it can produce units!!!

big maps is still easy ...soon as we get the object box gone :(

mini towns 1 box unit is possible ...mini trees possible with tile edits(but youd still want to be more on gold/oil).

i can try and make a ruff in lol of what it would look like..war2patch.

looooooooooll i just made a 0x0 and the peon delivers gold to it seeing if the cpu attacks it.....kinda bad though as its invisible loool

this is all pud! useless though on screen is only way to see your townhall and make peons :(

this will work for units i bet but answering the ? they will be unselectable and invisible :(

and strange as it sounds ...i now remember!!! it is the grp itself crashing the game on 1x1 buildings

but there is yet hope! the 8x8 tile size!!! maybe the object box can go down to it!! who knows! and i got to move back to my single core lappy this desktop is crashing like a mofo ;(


makes units invisible but the object box is still there.

I've got an idea that might work.

Build barracks just so you get the green img by the mouse just one click away to build.

That should be 3x3. Put mouse over trees to trigger a red box out of the 3x3 scan for that value. So 0-8, 1-9, try the basics see if that works. Cheat engine of course

That's pretty cool seems you found the objects size. Wonder if you find the .grp size if it would be a tiny townhall.

yes it will ive done it before lol and the green box was a mini townhall :P  lumbermill barracks should be able to build with the 1 square as thier grp isnt as big as townhall.

well im still crashing i know it does it cause i have done it! ive got the pic somewhere.

crashing on all buildings 1x1  :( ill look into it later

i made the townhall mini .grp but what it was showing was in the green box the 1 square in the middle was red, so u could overlap the full size grp on each other....must of dreamed it >.>

but that thing is ipx and 16 players .... could be cool. just to solve the 16 player stuff!

1 dude is messing with wargus and may be cool just to keep both of them...what i wanna see gone from it is the annoying message box up and the green rally lines!!! unplayable with that shit.

salvorc wargus may be for you..its  open source and i think is c+

but if you want on the war2bne team  ill help you as far as i can.

yea def need to let ce find some values.

udated and scorpoins editor does the box size..i didnt find it but 1x1 has to be a custom grp or will crash.

just where the peon can build it.

but making tc's the main thing you want is a good unit editor and a map editor..war2exed + scorp's or any of the others will do alot of stuff!

im still using udaeted cause im used to it..what you do with it is load a map save it to a clone map and then use war2exed to save the clone map.lol its tricky

Good results, but youre not trying to do bigger maps instead of little units?? How do you will scale units, half square tile??

i dont think im gonna mess with the units..no 1 square is still small as i can go for now.

may enlarge the townhall and barracks a little idk yet ..

oh there is a way to make them "smaller".

big maps im thinking wargus would be the better one to use.

itll be just for fun anyhow.

----ill post the patch soon as i get them shrunk ;p staying 1x1 :P and add from it there...

i may be to much of a drunk to ever finish loool townhall is missing cause of a test :/ was trying to half the box but always results in it gone :(

gotta finish it lol, still the question...peon72 or not to peon72  ??? cause i can turn grunts, trolls, orges, cat into sea. or pretty much make the whole orc race sea.

the ship formation is 4 squares.

probably just leave it alone for now.

ill try and finish humans for a demo.

back when my pc crashed was right after that pic lol and all but 3 grps are good :o so i gotta start over not hard just low on energy.idk how that even happens but they are bad!
