These are all good suggestions; I agree that a lot of problems can be fixed by making the current support info more centralized and easy to find. I'll see about adding a "can't find your screenshot?" support banner/link to ss.war2.ru too.
For shortened URLs, maybe we could make our own? Shouldn't be hard to set up simple 301 redirects to the most important help articles using addresses like war2.ru/ss and war2.ru/hosting or similar.

As a clear demonstration of how unimportant removing the Moderated Discussion board is, neither of you noticed that the Moderated Discussion board hasn't actually been removed. iL's "done" post referred to merging Strategy & Tactics with the Replays section; Moderated Discussion will remain for the time being. The forum moderation team would also like to remind you that spamming empty self-quote posts isn't currently a supported avenue of affecting forum-wide policy changes.

So this poll serves as the official rules for server & forum then, and whatever the votes reflect are law at any given point in time? That seems fair, though it does place a burden on the user to always know what's allowed/disallowed when it can easily change without warning as more people vote and/or existing votes are modified.
I've been moderating nothing on the forum since the status of any official rules seemed unclear, but I can do -- people just need to use the reporting system, then myself & other mods can act based on the rules. (This has happened a few times already but no one knew what to do so reports were ignored or cupcaked.) Maybe a standarized warning system like this? http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=878 Up to muting only, ban feature excluded. Right now it looks like porn & religious/racial/sexual hate are the only things people want controlled.

Streaming & uploading YouTube vids are both great exposure, commentating them is even better. c: And remember streamers, you can easily migrate any of your past broadcasts or highlights to YouTube via Twitch to save them indefinitely.

+1 to Claw's idea. Replays section already experiences little use, Strategy & Tactics section will have about the same traffic at best, or more likely even less so.

ikr? If you want to put together a custom collection of maps then we can stick it in the main /maps/ directory where the other map packs are stored and add it to the website's downloads page too.

You pretty much only need the game itself to join the server. Download & install war2combat then launch Warcraft II, then Multiplayer > Battle.net > server.war2.ru
Also, apologies re the Download page, I took it down some days ago but my "down for maintenance" message wasn't showing correctly, fixed now, and war2combat is also available on that page as well. Full Download page w/ all downloads will be restored soon.
