Title: port forwarding problem, note bot shows random port
Post by: mousEtopher on December 08, 2016, 10:16:39 AM
Trying to help FatherMartin fix hosting, he gets the message port 63017 is closed:

I forwarded 6112 & 63017 in his router, no change, set up DMZ, no change. Game data port is correct in registry. war2 does say that upnp is successfully enabled:

but doesn't work with or without port forwarding. So we tried using the old war2launcher.bat file which doesn't include upnp (I think) but /netinfo still shows 63017 as the port. Any ideas?!

Most likely he has no real ip on his router?
Can you check external ip on the router and compare it with ip on any kind of "show my ip" service?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I'll ask him to check and see what he says. Is it usual for war2combat to be using a random port like that when there's no real ip?
