not to bash or anything, but looking at your ladder record you're not playing any top players... and the few top players you do play have a winning record on you, but only a small hand full of games it seems.
1-1 with kyle(tie)
4-2 braviet(wins)
7-5 knitter(wins)
3-4 ogremage(loses)
30-25 doofy(loses)
5-3 startale(wins)
12-1 shotgun(wins)
4-0 jesk (wins)
1-1 alf (ties)
10-7 paperboy(wins)
based on those 1v1 records against decent players.. you're a tier 2 or 3 player

^^Nah in 2018 sepi is Tier 1. A tier 2 is someone like yamon or Ogremage.
A tier 3 is someone like tk or maciek.

I disagree. By that logic a tier 6 player would become a tier 1 player if all other advanced players bexome inactive .
If yamon,om, and sepi are all active they're same tier/skill.
Seppi is a good player, but he did a good job of padding his stats to make it appear as of he were on swift level.. And some fell for it

Or.. (And not trying to be a dick about it) you just dont realize these players true skill because you never played vs them when you were good and they were active. You only started getting "good" at gowef in the last 6-9 months. . its hard to rank players that you've never consistently played with when they were actively playing imo

If viruz played for a month then yeah he would be back at tier 1 level theing is he hasn’t done that since 2014. Seems kinda unlikely he ever will again.
Player for instance doesn’t really game that much so I would say he is tier 2 to. But if he were to game consistently I do think he could get around Alf/Startale level.

the whole tier system kind of falls apart when you have different generations of players trying to rank players that they've either never competed against at all, or even competed against when said players were active

I would say you have a lower grasp of things than I have.

i was top 5 of the active community at one point. that's not to say if players like viruz, poscow, jesk, shotgun etc.. were to start playing regularly i would still be top 5. i never said i was tier 1. but i was easily tier 2 at that time.
the thing about reaching that level is not many people notice if you don't maintain it for extended amounts of time. i was playing an insane amount of games for a couple months straight.. reached a level where i knew swift couldnt afford to many mistakes if he wanted to beat me (which he didnt.. but came close a few times) and became bored with it. stopped playing and rusted up real quick.

you're going to have a hard time getting people to accept your form of tier placement when you try to say viruz isnt tier 1. not many people will accept it.. and the reason is because everyone knows he was the very best player the community had for an extended amount of time.. and could get back to his same level in a weeks time if he was able to consistently play people like braviet, swift, jesk, sg, hotty... for that week.

literally after 10 games of playing a skilled player, viruz could start a series vs sepi and win the series.

Maciek is definitely good at GOW but he kinda weak on different maps.

1v1 gow i would definitely win since im at the same level of braviet/jesk/poscow/itshot, at the same time i admit im not that expert in other maps
So it depends.
Of course, evaluating this type of things is very difficult

tier system doesnt work on a game where the overwhelming majority of players are old schoolers that sporadically play.
there is no consistency. a tier 4 today by your definition could become a tier 2 next week.. and the majority active gow/ef players of today weren't competing with the active gow/ef players of 2 years ago because there was such a huge gap in skill... so how can they accurately gauge their skill level?

Sepi has been playing this game at least 10 years? probably longer.. i think it's safe to say he peaked out years ago when there were more players.. i doubt he's any better today than he was 3-4 years ago when there was more regular/active competition.
but there are 2 reasons his skill seems inflated..
1) if you look at his ladder record, at least 90% of the people he play are average players.. so he has an insanely disproportionate ladder record.
2) the Ripe[Eur0](as an example) he plays today is a rusty Ripe.. not the same Ripe he was pretty evenly matched with 2-3 years ago when they were both equally active.

People go up and down in skill all the time depending on how active they are. Someone like wargasm who was once considered one of the best on the server would be considered more tier 3-2ish now.
Just like in league of legends players can jump tiers and drop tier based on how much they play and how good they are. Players can do the same here on server war2 ru.

look at the username Sepi[Eur0] .. ull get an idea of what sepi's skill truly is against an active community.
he's an above average player.. and that's about it.

The stats you posted are irrelevant, mostly because the stats include the time when i just began to play old/ef and some of them are just too short...
Actually the most correct one is me vs braviet in the most recent time which confirms the fact that we are even and i counted 30/32, not 28/30..
You should also listen to the opinion of the people... Personally ive always thought you used to feed your ego a bit too much...
Responding to LoNe: i dont remember i have played you that much (but ladder system says so) so i wont doubt about that, anyways i dont even consider the games ive played against a hacker.
Concluding i must remind you all that ive started to play MUCH later than 95% of the total players, and this should not be a neglected detail.
