At the moment IL is unwilling to share the source code of the server because he wrote it himself I believe. Doing so may potentially make it easier for RU to be hacked.
While I don't disagree with you we should seek 3rd party help to fix the problem. Its not a decision you or I can make.

@tk I understand what you have said about the hosting issue.
Unfortunately there isn't an easy solution to fixing the problem. We have tutorials and staff support to help users. When that doesn't work the only viable option at the moment is to seek 3rd party help.

Once funds are in hand then it will make sense and there will be much more incentive to proceed with the next steps. (Maybe we could even tap lamby to do it, he seems geniusy enough!) It's easy and lazy to say "do xyz and everything will be roses, shame on you" which doesn't at all appreciate the amount of work involved in actually doing so.

Ripe go to https://portforward.com and buy their software. These guys will fix your latency problem for a fee.

@ripe imagine for a min your a new player trying to learn this game. Nobody will play u in a 1s or 2s so you are stuck playing 3s and 4s all day since you dont need lots of skill to play in one. You mess a up a couple times and get your team killed and now everyone black lists you as a noob and insta bans you on site.
What do you do? You make a new account of course and try again. That is how most players learn to play this game now a days. Hence why there are so many new accounts each week.

Whats the problem you guys have with smurfs exactly? Other then the ladder getting fucked up and top players playing in tournament matches I dont see what the issue is.
Contrary to popular belief most people dont hack on the RU server. And if there is an issue with someone hacking the server we can pinpoint who it was fairly easily.

Ok what games did you play before warcraft II? And why did it take so long to find this game?
I used to play warcraft 2 on battlenet east in 2000-2002. Back then all I played was Free castles.
After which I played playstation and Xbox until 2008-2009. I found gaming systems like those to be an unnecessary distraction so I stopped playing them and starting reading a lot of books.
I had a brief stint with warcraft 2 in 2009 but I didn't like the community and I got banned cause I said something bad to an admin and bsed him in the middle of the game.
I've read every single John Grisham, David Baldacci, James Patterson, and a few other fiction novelists. I've found writers are increasing only writing books that appeal to a female audience which is why I've lost a lot of interest for them over the years.
I started playing chess in 2010-2012 and I used to watch a lot of chess strategies on youtube. It was in 2014 I stumbled upon one of frostbitten's commentary video's.(I believe it was ~poscow vs Viruz)
Before I knew it I watched all of frostbitten's, Burnts, and tk's videos.
I then installed Warcraft 2 and started playing on the server.
The rest is history.
