ELO!

I'm continuing my mission to develop better and more balanced maps for Warcraft 2.
Terenas Stand is just like Twisted Meadows a very popular map in Warcraft 3. I just made the first beta version of the map.

Terenas Stand is a 1s map with two expansions per player. I will appreciate people playing it so i can continue develop it to a great and balanced map :)

There is two versions of it for now, one where host is observer and slot 2 and 5 is playing. And one version with slot 1(host) and 5 is playing. All other slots can observe but not play. Of course you need to play with fixed order, since this is a 1s map that won't affect game play.

I haven't had the time to host the Twisted Meadows tourney. I hope I will in the future, for now i will develop some more maps, maybe we can host a Warcraft 3 maps tourney?

I know it probably never going to happen. But i wish better support for observing games live and more hosting options would benefit the game a lot. And of course a better map pool! Which i will try continue work on my self :X

I will host a 2v2 chop tournament at some point. Bust rest assured Swagier and Braviet will win it.
Braviet and Swagier will probably not win if there is some decent teams. Most tourneys have not allowed good players to team with each others... Braviet is nup at chop t_T

These rules is mostly how to watch good players play gow. There is so many other maps too... Most import rule newbs/noobs need to follow is: Answer when some one ask you a question... Most newbs don't answer or get upset because they have to answer stupid questions trying to play a game :p

Hum, i'm thinking about changing dates for the tournament to a Saturday instead... I will make a new post just about the tourney soon. But what you guys think about the 16th instead? It's easier for us EU players that got to go to work Monday morning...

I don't think war2 needs better graphics. Ofc higher resolution would be nice. Some weird bugs could be removed. But mainly the match making, lobby, game settings and settings overall would help the game a lot. Easier to observe and so on. The paladins healing should be replace with an upgrade that increses the paladins movement just a little. So after upgrading there should be a permanent increase of movement speed. This will allow the paladins to run away from lusted ogres. But then the mages invis might have to be nerfed in some way, because it's incredibly op.

In version 1 of the map there were no mine in the middle, and the hidden exp was lower on gold. But after som months of testing and developing i came up to these amounts in gold mines. I will try it out for version 2.0. There is reasons why. The hidden exp takes time to take and is a big risk, that's why it needs to be little bit bigger. The middle mine is for late game mostly in 2s games, where all mines get mined out, so there is something to fight for. That extra 30k will be enough in late game, i also want come backs possible, if middle mine too big the guys with map control could camp it out...

This is my logic:

There is three new rules,
1. You can build on light dirt
2. Special choke possibility close to "dark rock".
3. Rune stone can't walk around.

Everything else like normal...

runestone is also fine, it's not that bad to have weird artefacts and temples and stuff on the terrain in maps.  the only thing is the "you can build on regular dirt but not dark dirt" is potentially dishonest because if that's the "rule" then you could still wall in that bottom exp...




You can't build on shorelines. People playing seem to understand the basics very fast. You see where you can place buildings and not.
