I've been recently warned for post THIS message:
yeah, fuck up the entire server (the exact reasoning why that was a bad idea was presented by il, blid and possibly mouse), because one guy is having mental issues. That sounds about right
if your obsession is related strictly to the client, then im sorry Eq, but you might consider killing yourself. That's your only option UNLESS you want to focus on positive things such as eradicating the hackers from the community. and to do that, talk to lance and persuade him to share the antihack or the hardware ban, give some $$'s to motivate il, support him and perhaps dont spread around instructions about how to hack
i could use some pussy, all of you must donate me 10$ or else.

as you can clearly see, his ultimatum is that either we close the client or else 'he cant live like this anymore'. My post was meritorical and blid warned me for the bolded part exclusively.

My question to you, blid & other moderation staff, is:
why was I warned?
I can see two options here:
- you can't tell people to kill themselves
It was never included in the forum rules, so thats one thing. Moreover, EQUINOX HIMSELF was telling people to kill themselves

as you can see, if blid followed this logic than he's a double-standard count and should give equinox at least 40% warn this instant. (2 * 20 = 40)

well, the logic is basically the same here. Why are we treating depressed people differently and why wasnt this never mentioned in the rules? If this is the case, then i REQUEST that you include that in the forum rules and i hereby accounce that i am and will always be depressed and i demand special treatment when people insult me

It's all about that double standard protection. I'm Depressed but that doesn't stop blid when it comes to pre-knowing about EQs depression and knowing about it now.
With me it's 50/50 on who can say that kind of stuff with me, based on their character that I know. You for example I wouldn't take seriously if you told me to kill myself. a more sympathizing person it would be more offensive to hear it from

Claw, you seem to have an intense obsession with rules and rule-lawyering and general pedantry. I can't believe you went to the effort to present screenshots and links in this ridiculous complaint.
Telling someone who is claiming depression and mental illness to kill themselves in shockingly offensive and troubling. I have zero interest in getting into whether and what specific rule this breaks in order to satisfy your OCD but suffice to say it is flaming of the very worst kind.

Didnt it give you a hint that he created a troll thread about his grandma death a few weeks prior to the event? are you not taking equinox persona into consideration at all?

I didn't move them. I see them now, and they're in the flame forum. The mod who moved them could have warned Equinox for them. If they chose not to it doesn't involve me, my moderation, hypocrisy, any double standards of mine, etc.

Yes. That's how bad you are. I know you love trolling, I don't know if your constant needling over rules is for trolling-purposes, for general attention-seeking purposes, is a manifestation of some sort of obsessive-compulsive or autistic personality disorder, or what.
But I really have no interest in trivial complaints. you know we have rules about flaming. you told someone to kill themselves. I don't care any further than that. Any moderator needs the latitude to make judgment calls within reason and there's nothing outlandish about giving a warning for probably the single worst post anyone has made on these forums.

anyway, i totally reject what you're angling for. we do not need a new rule for this. every mod ruling is not setting a new permanent precedent. we do not need rules on top of rules, rules for each new circumstance as it occurs, we do not need to project this current ruling onto other future circumstances it may overlap with but not completely match, we do not need more and more delineation and categorization into finer and finer units the tenets of acceptable behavior or the resulting punishments, we do not need CLAW digging and sifting and poring through and over our rules for loopholes, for exploits, for permission to urge people toward suicide, for special "depression" exemptions, so that we can all work for CLAW, to satisfy CLAW, that our rules are completely and entirely and unrealistically "objective" so as to meet his ever probing, always exacting, completely ridiculous standards. because this is life. this is how life works.

I don't actually care when things go off-topic. What I don't like is when a flame war breaks out in the middle of a topic, and some people may still want to talk about the original item up for discussion. Also, I'm happy to leave the Fringe talk in this thread for now because it doesn't matter, but if Claw came back and started talking more about my moderation, and then other people kept talking about Fringe, I would definitely split it at that point.

welp, your logic is ultra inaccurate, you cant be a successful lawyer. There's ZERO rules about the flame, z e r o. What we have is a general consensus that posts including nothing but flame/spam/offtopic should be removed, thats it. My post was neither and you should be ashamed of yourself now that eq is spamming the entire boards with war2client blabbering yet i got warned for a truthful post.
a general rule about flaming is nothing of the sort youre trying to present:

I took the bit about the depression exemption to be tongue-in-cheek, since he was describing exactly what Equinox was actually doing.

Nah, it's typical claw. "If this is allowed, then I'm allowed to do x," which he's been attempting for years. Also, Equinox never got an exemption for anything because of saying he had depression, it just made the suicide suggestion extra disgusting.

did you read my initial post? The 'exemption' only applied in the second case i considered if it turned ot be accurate (it didnt). I misunderstood you because your reason for warn was "telling a DEPRESSED person to (...)" and i thought the emphasis might have been on 'depressed'.
It WAS a joke but if that's been the case, you'd make that joke real, yes. If a troll and a spammer ever gets a free pass by admitting depression, that will be the first thing i'll do, you have my word.

I dont feel sorry for what i said or what i do in this thread.
This is my own choice to do auto derision if i want.
I consider it make a nice thread, bring new members and make peoples laugh.
The only thing i am sorry is that peoples who openly tell their real probleme because they follow my courage.
But it's not like if it's bad, they are the real one with real courage, i respect this x1000 and not here to laugh at them for these problemes.
But im still sorry for that, it was not my plan, really dint except that, this thread show me some good peoples i respect way much more now.
