Title: TOR/VPN In russia
Post by: {Lance} on February 12, 2015, 12:15:50 PM
Looks like war2 server could be getting help from the Govt to block hackers from accessing russian addresses (like the war2 server) lol.

Great country I tell ya.  NO.  I'd rather have no censorship than crap like this.  It's a pointless endeavor anyway, people will always find ways around it.  Censorship never wins.  Never has,  never will.

Yes, another part in information wars...

I just hope "Ban Looming on the Horizon" by Leonid Levin is not the same as "Ban provided already".
Just wonder on how's that possible to prevent TOR or VPN usage totally.

There's lots of stupid ideas about information security coming from russian government (from people far from IT)...
I think the main thing is efforts against political propaganda in Russia now...

I thought the RU server moved to germany.
It's not about to stop the server functioning, it's about to block the server ip/name from Russian providers.
But of course, they can close some domains in .ru (i think because of pirate or political reasons mainly - not related to our project)
