Actually, it seems you don't know the speedrun. :)

I re-watch your campaign videos.
And I find something - you didn't make full use of the heroes. ;)
like xOrc2, come on, that's Dentarg and Kargath Bladefist, you could lust your units and take the top right mine very early.
and that time you don't even  have a rax.
and like xOrc12, there are 5 heroes there, use them to attack instead of defense.
And the second thing I found out is, you neglect DK's Unholy Armor. ;)
that's very useful combined with D&D and haste, like xOrc11, you had a lot of DKs, you should research this spell.

 :) :) good to see that you want to listen my suggestions.
I think I have to take some time to do so, idk, maybe weeks, or even months.
you know, everyone cannot always playing games.
and your campaign is so hard.
 :)) ^-^ and hey, I've already found out some ways to speedrun on xOrc1-5. haha ^-^

How about this. You upload the source code to GitHub.
Well, I don't know anything about coding,
but i think maybe some other people would like to fix the problems,
and add some new features to it. :) :D :D

As for the undo function, u tell me to save it regularly.
Well, that's not what i mean. ^-^
I mean, take the POS remake competition as an example,
in the center of the map, u have to dig out 5 3x3 spaces for mines out of a bunch of forest, right?
In that case, you have to be very careful, because if you make any little mistakes,
you have to do it again and again. that's really annoying.
So you know now, that's the undo function for. :) :)

totally a newbie. :D

The important thing your editor attracted me is the copy and paste function.
other editors doesn't have this.
But the annoying thing is it will be deleted instantly when downloaded by AV software. :(
Maybe I should close the AV when using it. :)

u8, you know a thing called " speedrun"? :D
It means done the games asap.
there is a really awesome Youtube videos series uploaded by a guy called Texture 3D.

I also like to speedrun on the original maps.
I mean, go to kill some enemy before fortress built.
Your maps  are really great!
but it's a pity  ;D  that it's really hard or even impossible to do that on your maps.
I think if you want to speedrun on your maps, you must go fort.
Kill some enemy and take their base, that's impractical now. ^-^
But there still is a way to speedrun I guess, it just very hard to find out.

 :) You said you wanna remake the campaign.
I watched the test video. Wow,  :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :)) really exited to see that happen.
Maybe i give you a suggestion here,
leave an option there to players who can go speedrun, even if it's a really hard option
that the players have to try again and again, but it will make the game more interesting! ;)
maybe you should try it. ^-^ ^-^ ^-^

I failed again and again.
it deserves the name " insane difficulty campaign".

That's true.
Maybe because of the timing.
Seems Blizzard came into China a little bit late.
So nearly most of the game players get know of Warcraft since war3,
instead of people here, i guess, since war2 or even war1. :D

you know, we have so many twitch-like websites.
i once found some guys playing war2 there.
But they also  play other classic RTS games  the same time.
the thing is they don't know English, i guess. :D :D :D ;D

I happened to find a website call occult.war2.ru.
And I download some replay from that, some of them are good, but the others not.

for an example, I give you a rul here : http://occult.war2.ru/replays/toc.php
just try to download  the round 1 "yah'mon vs ShxPoscow".
there is a a little bug there ,right?
the file name should be "1st_round_yahmonposcow.wir",
but its name is "1st_round_yahmonposcow.wir.htm".

I try to rename it, but I failed.
I know it's close.
Can somebody help? pls :D :D

I made it out!
I check the other version installer I download couple days before.
There is the 'war2.exe" there.
And i located it. It works!
What a luck! :) :) :)

btw, i download that version from MyAbandonware.com.
and the version is BtDP version.

Still , there is a warning box come out, says "Access violation at ....."
i don't see anything wrong after closing the box.

Doesn't matter if not.

we Chinese cant register an account on twitch easily.
So I choose to tell u the thing about your maps here.
Seems you don't get the idea of the original map maker.
like XOrc4, the pud with Teron gol and flyer, you know which map i mean, right.
I think the original idea is to kill the top left first and then build your base there,
and kill the down left next.
So, maybe the mines you place just not correct. ;)

what do you think? ^-^ ^-^

It said you have to find a WAR2.EXE before you use it.
No idea where this file is.

Really like your editor's features.
Would u like to make it a portable version of it and just do nothing to the registry so that the AV software doesn't say anything wrong? :)
btw, does your editor have a feature like press Ctrl+Z to retreat action in Photoshop. Add it if you like. ^-^ :thumbsup:
