There's also the fact that we can have an infinite number of tags... so doesn't have to be JUST a master tag. Could award e.g. a "Chop" tag for chop tournies or something, or a choice of three tags to the winner, or the option of having a custom tag designed (within reason), etc. etc.

Inviting discussion on the subject is great, but a poll isn't really necessary for that. If you really feel the need for an outside perspective there are also plenty of marketing forums you could query and I'm sure get much more useful feedback, articles to read on the subject, etc. (the question of when to merge FB pages is hardly an uncommon one). Probably not necessary though, I still think you'd do fine with some judicious messing about -- experimenting & observing. Keep us posted on your findings!

Nop, no bug here so far. I viewed my custom icons.bni from war2.me, rearranged a few, saved, reopened, it's fine. Also did "save as" to a new file, and that's okay too.
Also, what's the difference between flag & tag? Flag is linked to permissions? Can that be controlled in the config files? e.g. set which flag to use for admins? Or if I wanted to customize that, would I have to overwrite the 0x00000001 flag with a new image?

I vote for option #3: collect more data before making a decision.
This situation is not a good candidate for a poll-based decision making; a mob of users having no experience with FB pages, advertising, etc. lack the basis for making an intelligent determination on the subject. Enacting a decision determined by any such arbitrary community vote is action taken for the sake of taking action, not because it's necessarily beneficial in any way.
Sit tight for now. Use both pages, experiment with promoting them, familiarize yourself with the implications of managing the two separate pages and in due time the optimal course of action should become obvious. Since the pages can be merged at any time, there's no need to rush into anything.
Also, having two separate pages for now gives a good opportunity for split testing. For one thing, what methods did tk use to amass so many likes? Most of the likes on the War2combat page are (I think) from Burton's FBA campaigns. He's run quite a few now but still only has 1/4 what tk's page has. Did tk run more ads? Were there other methods of promotion? Is it just that the page is older? Or is it in some way more "likeable" than war2combat? Maybe "War2 Tides of Darkness" is more immediately recognizeable for what it is, whereas "War2combat" is ambiguous.
Another thing -- if you merged the pages and people start seeing posts from War2combat on their timeline, they might not even connect that with the War2 Tides of Darkness page that they originally liked. etc etc. There are plenty of factors like this that need to be considered before doing anything.

This is by far the simplest streaming configuration I've ever used and should work for everyone except XP users, but I don't think we have many of those. If a lot of people respond saying they use XP and need an alternative, then you're up.
People will hopefully send me their Twitch names so I can add them to War2tv, and when they do I can edit them manually into the op of that thread (also add them to the site).

I don't recommend using the icons.bni tupac uploaded iL, it still needs some work. For example, the icons.bni in my pvpgn comes with a ton more icons by default that aren't in tupac's file. Maybe he deleted them? But why not keep them? Some are cool. e.g.

Well if everyone gets an icon, it will indeed be a gimmick. If it's for tournament winners only, it may encourage players to participate... i don't know, unlike 95% players here, i actually play the game and participate in as many tournaments as I can...
Icons are fun, but they're a gimmick either way imo. You don't need them to play. If people are more interested in some bullshit 28x14 image than they are in playing, they're missing the point. I think I'm with tk on this, spend more time promoting and playing and the server may actually start growing again, and stuff like this will become more than 8 people palavering endlessly about irrelevant tweaks. (I know you do, but it goes for everyone.)

Burnt noticed that he was getting a lot of interest from Brazilian users when he ran FBA. He also did one campaign directed entirely at Brazil and had pretty good results with it, so this seems completely justified to me. I'll set up the board and look into the plugins.

Oh wow, that's kickass! So-o much easier than that super convoluted method we had to use before.
