The time is getting near! June 25th will be the first big HUMAN/ORC vs HUMAN/ORC $$ prize tournament. Donations were made to us by a viewer on youtube, $200 a piece for 1st place and $100 a piece for 2nd place.
Also a NEW donation made by Dugs[anz]! $25 a piece for all players in 3rd and 4th.
The players all voted that they wanted to make this a map variety tournament. Now I am giving you all the chance to have your voice heard again! Pick 17 maps that you would like to see entered into the tournament.

Anyone who wants to donate is free to, can be for either this one or the GoW 1vs1 tour next month (prizes for 1st-8th scheduled)
If anything more is donated to this one then it would go towards 3rd, 4th etc

Just going to go with the maps players may be more familiar with since the reason the guy donated the money was to watch the replays. I think maps players know better could lead to more exciting games and probably more top players joining.

I also wondered about the map options. Its plenty of time left until the tournament to test new maps. I think it might be a good idea to include some new maps. Thats one of the reasons why i am mapping.

If u dont see diffrent between 40k vs 70k or 35k vs 50k
also 4 spot map vs 8 spot map when u can still get good spot 3 "bad" 5"good" and u still dont know where is your enemy
i will ignore u

I do not think it is necessary to remove the maps from the poll.
Most probably maps with strong unfair tendency will not be voted either way.
By the way:
Continent to Explore indeed has a significantly larger mine at the center.
But Center is the position that usually is attacked the most!
I used to play that map a lot in Kali at 90s and remember it as one of the interesting maps to play with a diverge set of strategies to apply at it.
Certainly for 1s it is an unfair map with a huge advantage for the central spot. But for 2s/3s that advantage is much less important.
The other maps that have a bad starting point are worse imho. But I think there might be BNE editions of those that correct the starting spots.

Np, was throwing it out there since you had a huge problem with original POS which is more fair than Gow.

In addition to the cash prizes for the two players in 1st ($200 a piece) and the two players in 2nd place ($100 a piece) we have received another donation by Dugs[anz]! He has placed another $100 in the tournament prize pool which will give four more players in 3rd and 4th $25 a piece.
Reminder that war2 insight will be required to collect the prize, as well as anti-hack running. Also a Paypal account will be necessary as well.
If for some reason you cannot run Anti-Hack then alternative is to stream or warvid for the $$ prize. You however are still required to be able to provide all war2 insights of games in the tournament. We want the replays and the original donations are from a viewer who wants to see commentaries on match ups! We want to give him as many as possible.

Question, do you need insight from all 4 players? I can warvid but insight under linux makes my pc slaggish :/.
If my teammate is using insight and me only warvid is it ok?

There all good maps, You just have to know how to play them. Although 1v1 is a little uneven, it does not mean the maps are "unplayable" and need to be deleted. You just have to know the spots and strategies, if you haven't practiced them, You should.0

I think it could be fun but I am going to keep it high res for all just to speed up the tour. We normally run late into the night already and this one is going to have extra games added to semi finals (bo5) and finals (bo7).
