General Discussion / Re: mccain's death
« on: August 27, 2018, 11:38:08 PM »

Incinerating civilians with napalm is a war crime iirc

I agree, but it's not the pilot's war crime.

Not to mention the many other wars he helped start in his political career, all to enrich his defense contractor buddies. How brave and heroic lol

Sure, I have made no comment on any of this. I'm certainly not a fan of his politics, nor would I suggest he was heroic (in fact I think he was a bit of an asshole), but using the horrible deaths of innocent people to push your own political barrow is callous, and just as much bullshit as the people trying to paint him as a hero.

Many soldiers kill people in wars. Many of them were only there because if they refused the draft they would be jailed. It's not a voluntary system, soldiers don't pick their targets and pilots may or may not even know what they are bombing, that's why soldiers in that position are not considered war criminals.

Who was the person that planned and ordered the bombing missions you care so much about? Who was the person who approved the use of napalm by the US military in the first place? Who was the pilot of the Enola Gay? I would guess you don't know and you don't really care, because that's not the barrow you are pushing.

Attack him on his politics and you won't get any argument from me.

But seriously don't trivialize horrific war crimes by using them for your own meme trash politics. It smells bad no matter which side is doing it.

"LMAO BROWN PEOPLE BEING CHARRED BY NAPALM ISN'T A WAR CRIME U DON'T EVEN KNOW WAR CRIMES I'M HUGELY INTELLIGENT GALAXY BRAIN"

Yeah I said you should read up on it. I suggest starting with:

Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (10 November 1998 and 12 July 1999). "Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court; Part 3: General Principles of Criminal Law; Article 33: Superior orders and prescription of law"

    .... you pea-brained meme regurgitator.

Well haha the pro life thing is funny at least, but blaming him for flying a plane that dropped bombs in a war is just stupid... or was he some 4 star super general who picked the targets then went and flew the plane as well?... if so then he should have been in the freakin A-Team, but I doubt it ;)

Not my favorite guy either really, but hardly irrelevant.

"making him accountable for his war crimes is stupid"

...the fuck is this liberal retard, smh.

LMAO you don't even know what a war crime is. Go read up on that too, that's after you actually finish reading that facist doctrine you worship.

Who is more irrelevant the guy who posts memes and abuse on forums or ...... um ...... anybody at all?

Blid absolutely no one called you that.  You fucking blow at this game, always did.   And youre a fucking loser irl faggot.

Then why does it say that on the plaque?

Well I don't know the history of such things, but I must say I do find Blid's plaque to be very convincing. I am confident that the owner of such a plaque must be a person of unrivaled quality, skill and distinction.

Ok so being the only people left playing means we can write the history books any way we want, but is anyone seriously going to try to assign intellectual property rights over blocking a ct with farms?

IDK about SPB or Nate - no doubt great players or whatever - but I was doing this kind of stuff 20 years ago playing customs and I don't really think it was original then.

This is a bit like trying to copyright a high-5... maybe you called it a "high-5" first, but im pretty sure a couple of neanderthals would have done it at some stage, even if they didn't post it on youtube ;)

Also, find it amusing most climate scientist grants are based on endorsing a preconceived conclusion even if it means falsifying past data to “prove” a theory.

oooh lordy I do love it when the clueless parrot nonsensical garbage they found on the internet because it sounds "sciency" so they believe it.

Question:

Where is all the carbon we are releasing coming from? How did it get there?

It's coming from "fossil fuels". They are called "fossil" because thats what they literally are. Oil is literally the composted remains of dead bodies. If you got a bunch of dead animals and plants and sealed them up for a million years they would turn into oil/coal/gas. We are carbon based life.

Plants metabolize co2 into oxygen and use the carbon to build themselves. This is why fertilizers don't need to contain carbon (yes some comes from mineral sources also, but that's not the current issue). Animals eat plants to get their carbon, or they eat other animals that eat plants.

Slowly, over hundreds of millions of years, the carbon, extracted from the atmosphere by plants and absorbed by animals got trapped within the earth. Now in the space of a couple of hundred years we are going to suck the entire lot out of the earth and pump it back into the atmosphere, but that's not going to fuck things up right?

All life on earth now has evolved as the conditions changed. The plants and animals that existed in prehisoric times and did that job no longer exist. We cant live in prehistoric atmosphere. It's toxic. Duh!

Here's a couple of graphs of atmospheric CO2 levels.

First look at the one on the left, note the 6 different sources and margin for error clearly defined ( you idiot lol ). It shows a period of around 600 Million years. There is no "cycle" - unless you think the fact that the line is a bit wiggly is a cycle.

If you look at the second graph you can see normal ice age cycles etc. Note it is displayed in THOUSANDS of years, not MILLIONS. It accounts for the little red circle I have put on the first graph. -- edit -- no actually i messed that up its actually something like 1 pixel wide - so even smaller.

----

I still drive a car. I don't live on a hippy commune eating sprouts and tofu. It's a big problem for which I don't have the answers, but regurgitating a bunch of crap you found on some oil-sponsored website doesn't change it.

... and OMG faking it for grant money?? ROTF.... have a think about how much grant money anyone could get from the oil industry if they could come up with ANY real proof against it? Set for life money duh.

Oh, sorry, I just noticed you used the word "contextualize". I take it all back, you are clearly an intellectual giant ;D

@tupac @iL

No-CD crack ....

War2noCDloader.exe not needed

--------------
No-CD Patch

File offset 0x2877F
old: E8:2C:06:00:00
new: 90:90:90:90:90
(5 bytes)

File offset 0x2878D
old: 75
new: 74
(1 byte)
-----------------

My first attempt worked but flagged the game as a spawned version so half the stuff was knobbled.
This version seems to work properly.

>>>> Please Test <<<<

----  EDIT ----

Been using it for a couple of weeks now, works for me :)

-- edit -- edit ---

Oh. Tupac has pointed out that this does not work for single player campaigns - only for multiplayer. I will have to look into that when I get some spare time  :-\

-- edit -- edit -- edit --

OK forget all that stuff, just change the byte at 0x28E17 from 0x01 to 0x00

That's pretty low. As is the store selling it's surveillance footage of the incident for media$. Poor woman now has to go home with a new baby, no husband and see those images again. Nice one Mr. Dale (not).

I don't use Win10 so I've never had this problem. But WTH there's and option called "CPU throttling" and nobody thought to turn it off until now? Speachless..... ???

@Lambchops stop pretending to be my therapists.. That's what van is for and hes doing a fan-Fucking-tastic job ... All you need to focus on is what you're already good at: sucking @ war2.

Shit man. I'm all over it already ;) been sucking@war2 already for hours today.

Hello!. To clarify a few things there are 2 different issues here;

1) There was a serious complaint/accusation that in-game admins
 can address.

2) No admin muted anyone on Discord. I did. I muted both Van and Babyshark.
These are two different issues.

One has to be absolutely absurd on war2bne discord to get muted. As up until recently, I am only aware of one player muted before on discord. It was Yamon for trolling voice chats.

Both Van and Babyshark were muted on discord.
Their "dicussion" had turned beyond toxic on discord.

They were asked by me a number of times to address the issue  outside of discord with admins, given the seriousness and how heated it was.
@Lethal~Machete after both of them told me to screw myself, their "discussion" still continued for many pages before mutes were handed out.
There were multiple warnings given to take the issue outside of discord.

The situation became even more toxic after they were asked to stop and at the time a mute was necessary on discord. Both of them got a 3 day temporary mute.

The mute was not an admin decision, but mine as a Discord MOD.
I would make the same decison again.

I made this decision as a 3 day mute and reported the situation to the discord admins. Things were very heated and only going to become more toxic on discord. It needed to cool down and wait for an admin to deal with.

I wasn't there, but as described this sounds quite reasonable. I would probably have done the same thing when it got to that point. For me this isn't the issue is all the stuff that caused it in the first place.
