I followed the instruction for installing the game with single play mode. I have windows 10. There is no sound at all. Any suggestions?

You running the game as administrator?

You have to add httP: to the link....won't let me post external links.

Oh you just downloaded the war2 client from the page?

If so, there will be no sound. The war2 combat edition does not have the original war2 soundtrack included.

Do you know if any of the downloads from the downloads page would fix that? I see a couple of music/soundtrack downloads.
-
One way I know how to fix it is to replace the war2 combat edit install.exe with the install.exe from the original war2 battle.edition files.
I haven't looked at the downloads section in a while but I think there is a exe in there that will add music to the game.

You can try war2music.exe, not sure when that was uploaded but give it a try. The description seems to fit your problem. Maybe iL or Lance can add to this.

Well there'll be sound, just not music. War2Music.exe is an experimental project that will download & add 4 of the music tracks but they won't sound 100% the same as the originals. More info here http://forum.war2.ru/index.php/topic,1955.0.html (http://forum.war2.ru/index.php/topic,1955.0.html)

I had the same problem, i fixed it when i started youtube "warcraft2 sound"

I had a thread where you can download a 90mb install.exe that you can place in your warcraft folder and have original music.
2nd option is mentioned before me the the quality is a at a lower rate and not all game music?
3rd download the original warcraft 2 .iso file and mount it or use the original disk. Those are many different ways to take care of your problem.

Wow, here? Link? That's super useful, maybe we could put it in the downloads page? Or at least link to it on mediafire or w/e and explain how to use it.

My link to the exe is dead. I will try to see if I have it still in my war2 folder. It's very easy to make.
1. Open RU war2 install.exe with mpqeditor.
2. Get a copy of the original sounds you want to have. Add them in the exe. Example I added all music files.
I will reload to my server when I find the install.exe I edited.
