Communism defeated fascism, close to a majority of if not an outright majority of the world's population turned to communism, and the liberal capitalist empires began a rapid collapse. Progress has been reversed since then, especially in the counter-revolutions of the late 80's and early 90's, but the Great Patriotic War was a great victory for socialism and the world's working exploited majority, and a crushing defeat for fascism!
it's pseudoscience as none of what they believe has any base in reality, they rely on absurd nonsense over solid empirical analysis for their beliefs.
It is not "scientific," but it does not posit as scientific, so therefore the term "pseudoscience" is incorrect, since such a term implies that libertarians believe their ideology is a science.

i don't think it postures as science, its all idealist religious type crap about "natural rights" and shit
they will make half hearted attempts at "scientifically" justifying the efficacy of their ideology (see: austrians) but when push comes to shove they will admit that whether the ideology "works" (i.e. doesn't cause society to completely collapse) is not as important as the fact that it is "right" because the extremely specific and narrow "rights" (especially property rights) libertarians think are so important are just things you are naturally born with and are woven into the very fabric of the universe itself. they will say this shit and then they will turn around and tell you believing in god is stupid, lol
