Website & Forum Discussion / Re: forum games

I once saw a forum like that.  Would be kinda cool, I don't know if this forum can do it, but I remember setting high scores in a bunch of them... shit I forget what they were.  Like Snake or something?  Tetris?  Hmm I'm forgetting which game I monopolized the score list on.

well, did i end up splitting the thread?  hm!

anyway, i totally reject what you're angling for.  we do not need a new rule for this.  every mod ruling is not setting a new permanent precedent.  we do not need rules on top of rules, rules for each new circumstance as it occurs, we do not need to project this current ruling onto other future circumstances it may overlap with but not completely match, we do not need more and more delineation and categorization into finer and finer units the tenets of acceptable behavior or the resulting punishments, we do not need CLAW digging and sifting and poring through and over our rules for loopholes, for exploits, for permission to urge people toward suicide, for special "depression" exemptions, so that we can all work for CLAW, to satisfy CLAW, that our rules are completely and entirely and unrealistically "objective" so as to meet his ever probing, always exacting, completely ridiculous standards.  because this is life.  this is how life works.

you told someone to kill themselves.  I don't care any further than that.
so are you admitting right now that "kill yourself" should be and WILL be instant +20% warn from now on?
There's already rules about flaming etc.  If you don't know how to navigate that, you'll have to deal with the uncertainty. :)

no they werent, they were in general discussion and forum affairs and were later moved to flame wars, just like my post. it IS in flame wars now, isnt it. hence your argument is ultra invalid.
I didn't move them.  I see them now, and they're in the flame forum.  The mod who moved them could have warned Equinox for them.  If they chose not to it doesn't involve me, my moderation, hypocrisy, any double standards of mine, etc.

you're a lawyer and you criticize my "rule-lawyering and general pedantry"?
Yes.  That's how bad you are.  I know you love trolling, I don't know if your constant needling over rules is for trolling-purposes, for general attention-seeking purposes, is a manifestation of some sort of obsessive-compulsive or autistic personality disorder, or what.

But I really have no interest in trivial complaints.  you know we have rules about flaming.  you told someone to kill themselves.  I don't care any further than that.  Any moderator needs the latitude to make judgment calls within reason and there's nothing outlandish about giving a warning for probably the single worst post anyone has made on these forums.

If gameing is impacting your life in these ways, maybe you can increase your capacity to withstand your gameing habits with Game Fuel.  Let me know how it goes, and good luck.

Claw, you seem to have an intense obsession with rules and rule-lawyering and general pedantry.  I can't believe you went to the effort to present screenshots and links in this ridiculous complaint.

Telling someone who is claiming depression and mental illness to kill themselves in shockingly offensive and troubling.  I have zero interest in getting into whether and what specific rule this breaks in order to satisfy your OCD but suffice to say it is flaming of the very worst kind.

Both the posts you linked are in the Flame War forum, by the way, and the thread you tried to kill someone in was in General discussion.  Bye

blid, do you want me to bump my thread so its easier for you to notice and respond to?
I usually find new posts from the forum.war2.ru main page "newest posts" list.  I never even knew you started a thread and upon reading it, I am suitably disappointed in you.

To be fair, I said I didn't believe the debt to Hell's Angels either.  However, it's very easy to believe you are obsessive because you sure are acting like it.

Really, does it say nothing to you that so many of us were willing to believe you are mentally ill?

Maybe you should again realize, why is this upsetting you so much?  And maybe step away from the forum entirely.  I can ban you from the forum if you want.  You can still channel your energy/obsessiveness into War2 by playing the game.  But remove the stress of the forum.

What smurf king said is also good advice.  I think there may be other people best suited to help you that maybe you can reach out to.

When you created a thread asking for help and confessing your issues and your doctor's advice, did you want it full of flames with Winchester?  I don't think that was the purpose of the thread.  Starting the thread also doesn't mean you can have any kind of content in it.  Some stuff still doesn't belong on certain forums.

5351
yeah
thats the issue here
who determines something has no ill effects?

FDA?

Michael Taylor.

ex-former-monsanto lawyer.

good one.

well right we dont have a strong independent regulatory authority, but that doesnt mean, by default, that all GMO food stuffs is definitely bad

Your only warning I see is the one from your latest battle with Winchester.  The thread was split and moved the flame war forum which I also think was appropriate.  No one wants all threads to turn into shit wars between you and Winchester

5354
it can be good sometimes.  say they modify something so that it's resistant to some sort of fungus, with no ill effects.  that's good

say they modify something so that now it loses nutritional value or w/e, that's not good

5355
Yep.  So theres no reason to assume gmo food = good... Im sure it could be good for humanity in many cases, but i wouldnt be willing to accept a blanket assumption that it's goode.
