Windows 8, right? I think that's  the main problem, there were not so many tests under win8.
When does it happen, which moment? Right after you start war2?
I have several ideas:
1.
Restart your computer.

2. Check and try to disable DEP: http://windows8themes.org/how-to-disable-data-execution-prevention-in-windows-8.html (http://windows8themes.org/how-to-disable-data-execution-prevention-in-windows-8.html)
3. Try to right-click war2 icon and run as administrator.
4. Try to run "war2combat without patches" in you start menu - programs - war2combat (Or using war2nocdloader in war2combat folder)

Do this:

- Uninstall game

- Head to Control Panel, create a new user (administrator)

- Log off the current user

- Log on newly created user

- Install game

- Play.

- Thank me later
