v1.2 just released:

-most probably, final bug fixes.

-included custom ranger + paladin + berserker + ogre-mage sprites when the unit researches their respective upgrade

-guldan custom sprite

-xhuman10, orc13, human13, xorc6 // the missions where player originally had a Rescue_active AI ally, from war2 chocolate remaster version, now they turn in actual "allies", aka: they are ally computers that now attack enemy computers and viceversa. Also, they are not rescuable, they will work as AI ally the whole matches. AI ally provides vision to player as well.

-Now there're 4 plugins. Plugin 1 has Grid and classic hotkeys versions. Plugin 2 as well.

Plugin 1 allows to play the map versions from War2 Chocolate remaster v1.7
Plugin 2 allows to play some little fixed map versions, that were taken from DAIFE to prevent several original bugs that come from base game.

-Here finally is, Warcraft II Chocolate mod that is available for War2Remaster (v1.7) but now for War2 Combat (Classic).

-This mod is basically a Fork that initially was made for War2Remaster, but with several enhancements included here for War2Combat, that can be possible to apply, due to the new generation features that are available for modding the game, in War2Combat.

-You can visit War2Remaster Choco mod version to see the features from that mod, but in short terms here, War2 Choco mod basically includes:
*Game rebalance from War2Remaster (provided by Blizzard Entertainment in december 2024),
*aside from other balance changes provided as ideas from the community member, ErenusSocrates, that requested them for that mod.
*map fixes for proper AI functionalities,
*some maps with custom computer Allies for player.

-All of these features mentioned before, but also now included in War2 Choco - Combat mod version, you can get:
*Rally points
*AI Fix Plugin features (info about this in: https://forum.war2.ru/index.php?topic=6127.msg102091#msg102091)
*Grid hotkeys, like the option in War2Remaster
*SaveLoad fix feature
*Special trigger for most of missions where "you have to kill them all". 5 peons or less left, aside from 0 comp enemy buildings left then will give victory to player

Could it be possible with your program to allow doing the reverse process ?

I mean, reading trigger files from Triggers editor, so it shows all the code that is set on each triggers file.

-A community member asked for a new Warcraft 2 Remaster mod, which contemplates Blizzard's game rebalance from december 2024 plus his own Game rebalance proposal with its additions.
-Aside of that, several proposed changes for the campaign maps.

-This community member named as ErenusSocrates has originally made a post with modified maps for War2Combat, including several of the game proposed changes. Its included on the screenshots as a reference.

-There're several changes which I cannot expose all of them in description but in screenshots you can see them all. And within the mod package files, you can also check all of the mission + rebalance changes for this mod.

-Each campaign gets an extra computer rescuable Ally for one mission map. No spoilers.

-This Chocolate mod has several mission map & AI Fixes that come from the already existing, DAIFE & DAE mods

This means, several missions maps that are taken from base game are already functional now with their original AI scripts to properly work from start to end. Most noticeable fixed missions are like:
Human10, Human12, Human13, Orc7, Orc8, Orc9, Orc10, Orc11, Orc12, Orc13, Xhuman4, Xhuman5, Xhuman6, Xhuman8, Xhuman10, Xorc3, Xorc4, Xorc5, Xorc10, Xorc12

-The mod only modifies base game campaigns

-This mod brings up War2Remaster official game rebalance for War2 Combat (classic). It's available for single campaigns & custom maps now.

ogre mode:
-Aka: 2 players play with the same units/buildings. Like archon mode in starcraft. In order to enable, select Ogre mode in lobby, then in left side from each player usernames select a number and it has to be the same. So both players will be able to control same stuff  in-game

Blizzard:
-This is Blizzard's official game re-balance for War2 remaster. Its available on War2 combat since december 2024.
*In short terms, archer/trolls slightly stronger
*Healing is 5mana/1hp cost
*A bit nerfed Blizzard's casting range
*Cheaper gryphons
*Bloodlust damage is nerfed to just static 2x. And it lasts 25% less time.

Rebalanced is a mode that was made like 3-4 years ago and it brings some changes to war2 game balance like stronger archers. I dont remember the full list of these changes.

Triggers mode its needed when some custom map triggers are set on a war2map. If not interested in modding, this should not be useful to you. Yet, if the map itself doesn't have any custom triggers, I think this mode enables some stuff like repairing catapults or rally points. I dont know the full list of these changes either

So, since this mod was banned in the other link, i've decided to upload it in a new website. Same description and installing instructions like gamebanana.

**Update may21th, 2025**:
Hard mode is added up since this last version. Not all missions have been tested up but they should be beatable in theory. The mod will be updated in case of needing to rebalance or fix bugs.

-This Moon guy stated to make this mod from 2013, so i decided to make an enhanced version with map triggers, audio/visual enhancements, quality of life features.

-The original mod also contained some small mission briefings so they were adapted now to this mod, as if it was a campaign.

-Customized mission triggers for each map.

-The campaign-mod has 7 missions, yet there're another 7 extra ones that can also be played from menu.

-If had to value original difficulty from values:
very easy ---  easy --- normal --- above normal --- challenging --- hard --- very hard --- impossible-like

then I'd rate it as between "easy" and "normal".

-Original difficulty is now set as "Normal-default-initial" difficulty on this mod. If feel motivated enough, I may release a Hard difficulty for this mod aside from some additional triggers as well.

-Big thanks to original Author, Moon for having such a creativity to bring all this mod up to life.

-Original files are included in main package.

How to install & play

1) Install War2 Combat Edition from https://en.war2.ru - This is the only War2 classic version that allows to use this mod.

2) Send pluginNW.w2p to your plugin folder in war2 combat. This file enables some of the mod features.

3) Send "Data" sub-folder in mod package, to your war2 combat folder. This is required for custom User interface files in-game. It can be disabled with hotkey shortcut showed in F1 menu.

4) Send "NW.exe" to your main War2 combat folder. Here you can load the mod.

5) Send "NWfiles" sub-folder in package to your War2 combat folder. This folder contains most of mod files.

6) Download most recent War2 widescreen program from Fois, available in:
[Release] Warcraft II Widescreen / High resolution patch

It will allow switching up game resolution in case you want a Widescreen mod experience.

7) Then just launch the game from the mod .exe file, stated in some steps above.

Description

-I've made a small mod for Warcraft 1 where you can attempt to play the game in Hard mode.
This mod has tweaked AI difficulty where computers train up units way faster from buildings like barracks, churchs or towers.

-Missions that have increased their difficulty are pretty much the ones that are macro oriented missions, so not the ones that are about infiltration (like human4).

-Missions modded are:
Human3 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 9 - 10 - 11 - 12
Orc3 -5 -6 -7 -9 - 10 - 11 -12

-Computers now:
*Train peons way faster
*Research upgrades way faster
*Launch attacks way faster
*Attacking groups scale way faster, where usually they were sent in groups of 1-3 units from base game. It would take so long to see bigger groups

-Since now Computers get actual Upgrades for their units, this is an indirect Buff for Scorpions/Spiders/Skeletons/Demons/Water Elementals, which indeed seem stronger in combat and can be a threat.

DAIFE co-op is easier than Insane edition co-op yet they both mods operate with campaign-like triggers but for Multiplayer.

Installation instructions are very simple and set up in mod thread from first link above

It's time to unite the clans

There's layers to embracing a gaming culture. You need to nurture new players and have a competitive environment as a goal for some and leaders in those positions. We all need to be leaders. You absolute fucking RETARDS aren't even in the Warcraft 2 battle net group to answer questions, or be idle. There's 98 group members on there, and there are hundreds of you. It makes me want to fucking cry.

With that said, I'm starting a new series in honor of our past to highlight players in the community and I am very happy to announce that my first guests will be BabyShark and Burnt. If anyone else would like to participate, I will interview each and every one of you.

the only 2 things i dislike about remaster that ruin quite a bit the experience is that Menu hotkeys are missing, and cursor is not instantly set up to use Chat, so basically you have to move around and waste time each time you have to play a new game. Including to set up all options to make a new game.

Its still rusty in that sense but war2 combat does all of that well.

Aside of that, menu and options within it dont have hotkeys so its also a waste of time to move around the menu buttons as well. It saves up a lot of time between each game.

Hope it gets fixed up as it is for War2 classic.

If you got enthusiastic about advertising, I'd appreciate that you can let people know about these mods on gamebanana. Its been around 6 years since making them, but very little people try them out or give any feedback (aside of negative one that people tend to give more often)
