I'm definitely not opposed to demoting number one ranked players who are clearly dodging. Just to hold on to the number one position. Does anybody else support it, or oppose it is the question

If someone ask ragner to play 1v1, then he havd no choice to accept untill he got a good reason.
If he cant handle his position he should be demote instantly.
Does he have a reason to dodgle peoples who ask him for 1s.

That ladder need being active all the time, peoples want the spot and your killing the vibe for everyone by thiking this way.
a true number 1 can play anyone and will not stock the ladder because of his vacation or whatever the fuck hes doing.
If he cant complete his role, someone else will do it untill hes ready!

I feel like #1 should at least be defending it .. sepi was good example. Did all the tricks to hold on to it for months... kinda screwed the whole ladder vibe up. A lot of interest in it was lost because #1 was essentially held hostage.

Yeah there's a difference between a few "cant right now" vs obvious dodging.
I kinds feel like its implied if you get #1 you should expect challengers.. and be ready to defend it. =/

To play devil's advocate, he plays team games during the day a lot. That's good. He obviously likes that too. Let him do other things too. He shouldn't have to just 1v1 people constantly because he is top spot. Anyone challenging the #2, #3, or #4 people or just #1?
Like you said Tk, he just played a series with SG. I know he played with Knit a day or two before that (Knit did complain it took him forever between games for the next one and was annoyed).
You guys just said a month ago, he needs to play at least like once a week? If I'm remembering correctly. Now, we want more or demotion?
Maybe others should boost their rank before they challenge #1 or something. Make EVERYONE play and not just him. Something like, you must be top 20 to challenge 1v1 (and he HAS to play) otherwise, it's up to him if he wants to play. Idk, just throwing some stuff out there.
Just seems a little unfair for him to have to do so much compared to someone who is just below him.

Well im exactly that kind of player who priorize wich kind of game i wanna play, because 1s and team game are so much different i just cant play both of them at same time and excepting to be good at both of it at same time.
Thats why when i goes on team game i dont play 1s, cuz i dont wanna dodge people and stock the ladder for everyone else...
If you are number 1 you have to defent it when you log and someone ask you, you dont have to run after people but if someone in top 20 is asking you for 1s you have to defend your title.
Thats the main point of being number 1, beating everyone constantly, other then that, thats not a fucking true number 1 and everyone elese playing this ladder are wasting there time.
Thats a choice to make by yourself, do you want to be number one or you want to fuck around with your friend...
fuck all those excuse, vacation, team game, dodge, my dogs is hurt, your number 1, you defend your spot, period.

harry has good points but as i told earlier here, his dodges r dozens and to many players.
there is an easy solution. lets not b babies.
ragner needs to start playin asap good ppl who challenge him. if not doing it quickly, demote is the correct thing to do. it doesnt mean that he has to play every1 247. but there is clearly dodging goin.
tk has also point. we need to keep the ladda active.
besides. all of the rest in top10-20 always play me(im askin only ppl who i know tho). maybe u8 dodges but i think he doesnt rly give a shit.

SG is almost not playing anymore and probably eat 3 pizza that night.
The fact that rag goes tight with sg dont mean he will go tight with ripe or anyone else, it dont justify the dodge, cant use past game to dodge the future one. Ability and skills is something that evolve... One week someone play bad, next week he play like a god.
Anyway...
I mean ripe is not nobody, and that dude only fucking play 1v1 most of time, he certainly deserve his shot, the fact that he had to make a thread for that is totally bullshit, how the fuck he cant have a series against ragner, make no sens at all.

Well, ive played with Ragner 3 games. Ragner impressed with good defence, well done.
They fact it almost took me 2 hours to play the games was very annoying.
After every game he made me wait like 20 mins.
Bathroom, brb, chatting, etc..
I could never never really warmup! Im done playing with him. No fun at all.

Ragner accepted the challenge and offered a good window of opportunity to play. He recently played one of the best active 1v1ers on the server, I don't think this classifies as a dodge.
Maybe we could create an official stickied 1v1 challenge thread? But maybe only Top5 can issue the challenge + deadline? Thoughts? :wc2:

There no need to fix a rendez vous, it's not about you to choose your opponent when you want, as the number 1 you have to fight when someone ask you, thats your job to protect this title and make yourself a real champion.

If everyone in top 20 have to take a rendez vous with you to deserve a title shot its gonn take a year.
The ladder is an automatated systeme exactly for that reason, you just have to play at any moment and the statistic gonna update by themself.... it dont need a rendez vous for that... I know your proud about your rank, and you dont want to lose it, but the main goal of this rank is to find the real number one, whos gonna beat everyone at any moment... thats what is a real number 1.
if you cant fill that role, and need to waste everyone time with rendez vous and kind of shit, pls lets just demote you.
Because your a waste of time for everyone here, the main goal of this ladder is to keep it active no matter what.
If we see you on channel and someone ask you for 1s, you have no reason to dodge, you grow a pair and you do your number 1 job without finding 1001 shortcut to waste everyone time.

U challenged me earlier and I played like I always do. U r now dodging me cuz of the ladder ranks.
Equ said something about demotes. I absolutely think every1 deserves to be demoted if inactive or dodging. I've been demoted few times myself too from 1,2 spot cuz of inactivity, never of dodging.
