I've encountered this glitch quite a few times and I'm wondering how many other people have encountered it. Also if anyone has ever figured out how to do to someone else on.
-
Here is an example of it.

Sorry. All I can see is green winning ;p

Well you probably know it is a pretty common glitch in free castles. In long games you can get a whole area completely covered in them. Knowing how I build a lot of towers, and seeing towers in that screenshot, maybe it is actually towers that have something to do with causing it.

@Meck look at the space where red is trying to build a rax

Honestly Xurnt ive never encountered this glitch when I played free castles back in 2000-2002

has to do with the unit reaction time (delay). if peon acknowledges that it needs to build (but havent started yet) and gets killed, u get the glitch.
so obviously its easiest to do it on extra high lat

Very interesting thanks. I will test this out.

@CLAW the racist tried it. Couldn't recreate it.

u dumdum. cannon is the goodest for it, but its possible to recreate it with your own cat. that was my strategy for cats and rats - block the entrance and become immortal

Cats and rats was hilarious for me, I would just chase the cats around the map towering them nonstop. If they came to my entrances I would have halls that would pop out peons over the wood into the path blocking the cats from making it through while the cannon towers would dissolve them then rebuilding the walls. I would just hop out the back of my base and start chasing them around again.
I added a attachment with a pretty cool catz n ratz map that was actually a little more difficult due to the size of it.

wallbug u should know this since u know how to play chop farms :pig:
-
yea i was telling him it's a known bug, creates dead space usually lag related, but i have no idea how to reproduce it. it just happens sometimes
-
Theres gotta be a way to recreate it at will.
-
it happens when you build a wall at the same exact time as the peon is taking damage, causing the wall to take dmg and get destroyed immediatly. its a very common bug in f, every f player should know of it and how it works - probably happens like every if not every other f game
-
ive never seen this,cool vizzer.

Its pretty ez dawg, but it will not always work. Get an enemy kanon tower and u shall have like 40% success rate mate
-
So it happens if your worker dies before it starts building.
I have seen it on chop games.
I assume the spot that gets dead is the one that the peon died?
Or the one you clicked to build?
-
from what vizzer said, it only happens when the peon starts building and dies at the same time, so the space where the peon dies and the space you clicked to build are the same in that case. sounds about right to me, since it's fairly rare, it can't be something that happens every time a peon dies before building
-
^^I'm going to test it out again at some point this week. There has to be a way to do it every time. The tower bug for instance can in be done every time.
-
uhh but one thing can obviously be much easier to replicate every time than another. it's like jumping through the wall and going to the minus world in mario bros. theres a way it works but it still might take you 50 jumps to do it right. youre going to have a lot of trouble having a unit die the exact moment it starts building even if that is exactly how it works.
-
lol tora youre comparing stable game mechanics to something which requires good timing to reproduce. dumdum
ill maybe make a warvid later today
-
Obviously its not as ez to reproduce as the tower bug. But it should still be something that can be done by someone who knows what they are doing.
