I downloaded Warcraft 2 (Campaign/single player - not online multiplayer) onto a machine running Windows 7 OS and it works great. I then did the same thing on a a machine running Windows 8 and it runs fine but it's not saving my games properly. They don't show up within the Warcraft 2 "Load game" interface. When I examine the C:\war2combat\save folder I can see the .sav files are there, at about 530 kb in size, but they don't show up within the game itself. I'm not having this problem on the Win7 machine - I can save and load games normally there - Just with the Win8 machine.
Support request received through the website, any ideas? I don't have Win8 myself.

Didn't another user have this problem with saving campaign files?

You are running War2 as administrator right?

I've been following the support forum thread and I took EviL~Ryu's idea of running it as an administrator and it solved the problem. The saved game files were showing up properly within the game interface and I'm now able to save and load games as desired. I'm not registered to post to the forum so please pass along my thanks to him/her for their suggestion.
