Title: Map Series: 2p Coop Campaign

Hey i want to start this topic to start posting my new map series idea The 2p Coop Campaign, hope it is added to War2ru donwloads section, when completed.


2p Coop Campaign
The maps will remain same as original to maintain the nostalgic feelings, except that the enemies will be scaled to 2X to maintain the difficulty average. Also a 2nd player base, of set of units will be added with same starting conditions.

-Human.
01: Added ogres and Troll lumbermill to enemy, 2nd player base.
02: Added more enemies with more tower, 2nd player base.

-Orc.
01: Added knight and Elven lumbermill to enemy, 2nd player base.
02: Added knights, ballistas and enemy town hall, 2nd player base.

Welcome ! Yeah looks like a fun project. If you are looking for a teammate to help you complete all the campaign maps you should check this thread. Similar projects so maybe it would save you some time if you plan to do them all. Would love to have the complete set.

nice man! instead of double units,add another cpu :o that would be getting difficult even with 2 players.

Yes, im here again, my old account was lost, also hes doing a good work with Hard campaing example, but only have 3 maps, i will be able to complete it, and are want to test it if you like..

Sure I can give plunty of advice and troubleshooting if needed. Also you could try to balance orc and humans for a cool multiplayer map. Maybe make orge mages act like dks so palis can cast spell on orges...

well yeah..u kinda always want to shoot for balance other wise your dellam.  :P

exo on orges :o that would probably beat lust.

but since your making a coop..id just leave it alone and just make it tougher for 2 players.

Yes doing tougher enemies is my original idea, but i think tupac also want to make it so the gameplay is better, and no simple 2 player maps..

ok when you play in bnet,it is destroy all enemies so u dont have to worry about it.

Yes, the problem of coop campaign is that maps will always have same objective because there are no triggers in multiplayers, maybe we can meet sometime to test it.

Not sure if anyone knows a way around this? Should be some way to make SP objectives possible.
Meanwhille I hope you can continue working on the maps, even w/o the objective! Keep up the good work!

The only possible solution is using Wargus for doing the coop campaign, there you can do custom scripted maps for multiplayer.

hey dudes may have another way to control your map properties.....the use of  save files..

for single player camp.

like right now im trying to put custom maps in the shareware dos version using dosbox.
on single player still crashing if i go into the camp not loading a sav file ....cant load pud(probably the header)

but if i use . sav it will load the original 1st map(even though its replaced)

conclusion...
the .sav is a .pud also :o this could be useful for single players!

ill try a bnet test.

good news!!!! it worked :P

u may need to enable campaings in ils options turn off aie ai!
most def for whoever creates a .sav cause you got to put in your map and  save it ;D

load that file and build 4 farms and a barrack.

all users has got to enable the camps enabled.

lets say u want a alot of return whoever to circle...just mpq that map with yours walla alot of circle of power maps.

looks like single player use only.

if multi .savs possible to be edited and played on bnet with map props not sure def interesting area.

 :o may be big map area! i doubt it :P well cheers some one got cases of beer later!
im serously sure the map props are turned on and off by the sav can be hexed !

gowcp4peon= bring rescue'd 4 peons to the center  circle for victory.

put these in the save folder!
i think it works better than making people do a mpqpatch :P

Why you say the sav is a pud also, dont understand what you did, but for what i have seen sav is not completely similar to pud map files, how do you achieved to turn a map into save??

salv take your map,put it in mpqpatch with the (human10 orc05 )option you want.then go to the game, tigerlily or unit the clans to your map hit save!

Gonna have to edit the players locked into that map. That will be the difficult part. Plus removing the password from multiplayer mode when you host online.

Another hint:

.sav files are for single players saves there is another extention for multiplayer saves .mlt

Try to take a regular .pud change extention to .sav or .mlt see what happends.

well for a multi yeah, have to find values for online.but those can still be destroy all.

im just seeing there could be some cool custom maps.

im pretty sure people played mlt's in ipx that is still better than wargus.

also still not sure if the map objectives will work  >:( ill try and see. well sometime :P regardless theres a way to make some single players.

oh they do host in bnet lol i never play enough to know :P

I'm sure that is locked into the exe. I was able to successfully change them in single player with the hum1 campaign. The thread exists in this section.

Hello, i want to say that i have found a way to get Coop working with cutscenes, briefings, scripts and all!!

I'm already working on the maps as we speak, i'm making them in the original PUD format to then convert into Wargus maps, as that's the only way it won't be regular "kill everything" maps.

I will, however upload the PUDs, when they are finished, and then later i will upload the maps for Wargus.

EDIT : Since i wrote this i've converted all of the maps to coop. It is not complete yet, as i've yet to add additional enemies & AI, but for those hungry for a coop experience, this should work in the meantime. https://www89.zippyshare.com/v/WL95LYrz/file.html

EDIT : Apperently Wargus' PUD converter is broken. The Wargus version will take longer than i expected.

EDIT: OK!!!!!!!! I got the wargus version working!!! I've not had the time to test it yet, so please inform me of any bugs!!

I working about 1 year 2 monts on triggers for war2.
Just in 1-2 monts this will be released in new version of Combat.
Trigger editor like in starcraft1 that loads triggers in pud file.

There will be many triggers like creating some units.
Change HP MP and other vals midgame.
Mana cost for spells and strength of upgrades.

Oh and even build new buildings like portal and runestone.
And summon heroes (Chogal, Alleria and the likes) from portal.
Runestones can be super powerful, like gives any unit who goes close some BLOOD or HASTE or FLAME SHIELD.
They can give effects to all units or only to units that owned to player who owned runestone.
And even maybe can instaKILL enemies who got close.
