Hey guys let's try to recreate the Warcraft History in this thread if we are able!
Tell us what you know about it, you can even add picture or videos to give more details if you want!
First of all we need to know some things are different between the Original full story and The games, it mean warcraft I, and warcraft II.
But if something dont change, it's about the wars between the orc and human..
First war is between orc and Human and represent warcraft I (the game) at Azeroth AKA Stormwind.
Second war is still Orc and Human again and represent Warcraft II (the game) at Lordaeron Aka Lordaeron, but compare to the game ( we play right now ) other races are add in the full story.
IN FACT Warcraft II is not even only about Human and Orc, Warcraft II is more like World of warcraft (the game) where we can said, Horde And Alliance! But the race are still Orc and Human for some reasons i dint find yet.
Dont believe me? Ok..... If you watch closely In game there alot of proof it's not Orc and human but really Horde and Alliance.
Archers are not Human, Archers are High Elf, Axe throwers are not Orc, Axe throwers are Troll, Zepplins are Goblins, Flying machine are Gnomes, Dragons, Grypphons, even sapp, sapp are Dwarf, Death knight are Death knight! Believe me now!
Finally, there another part of the Warcraft history excluded of the first and the second war and it's before both of these wars, that part explain how warcraft is born.
So we gonna spread the story in 3 part, mean, The Beginning, the first war and the second war.
There also a third war representing Warcraft III and many mores, but i dint read that yet, so let stick on the 3 first part for now.

Important thing to know: In the past, we talk about 1994, Azeroth was representing a part in the world of warcraft ( it was representing Stormwind and more), in 2001 azeroth became the name of the total WORLD, so Azeroth is now the name of the entire world of warcraft. The map we see right now is a map from 1994, so it's why we see Azeroth as an independant part of the world, if we was in 2001 Azeroth will represent this entire map and way much more maps!
Other thing to know: In 1994 Stormwind was representing a castle own by King Llane, it was a part of Azeroth, in 2001 Azeroth became the whole world and stormwind became the castle AND the old azeroth!
1: The Beginning ( 2001 )( No game for that ) Books. = Tomb of Sargeras / Warcraft timeline year -147,000.
2: Warcraft I *1994* = First war on Azeroth Aka Stormwind / Warcraft timeline Year 592. ( No alliance yet )
3: Warcraft II *1996*= Second War on Lordaeron / Warcraft timeline Year 598. ( Alliance )
Alliance: Human, Night Elf, Gnome, Dranei, Dwarf, Worgens.
Horde: Orc, Goblins, Blood Elf, Trolls, Tauren, Undead:
Neutral: Pandaren

The warcraft time line is very complexe and not easy to understand from best sources we have.
The first chapter ever of warcraft was * Shadows & Light begins» *
In Warcraft timeline it mean year -147,000.
In fact the first chapter of the first war was * The Dark Portal and the Fall of Stormwind begins *
In Warcraft timeline it mean Year 592.
Finally the first chapter of the second war was * Tides of Darkness *
In Warcraft timeline it mean Year 598.
So as you can see there alot of years between the beginning and the first wars, as the invert there only five years between the first and second wars.
Movie: The New Movie represent the first war on Azeroth aka Stormwind, if the timeline is right, the next movie will present the second war on lordaeron aka warcraft II the game we are playing right now.

I actually still have a 56K modem PC, AOL dial up still worked. [emoji14]

yeah still got my pc's also. external usb actiontech(lucent chipset) was my fav 56k for gaming.
done halo1 pc great, i think it was 16 vs 16 players :o.

I wonder if they kept or altered the geography.
I remember from playing war 1 that the orcs come unexpectedly and the humans didn't know their origins. Also we knew that they where allied with demons at that time. Finally the orcs won the first war!
Humans, fled the continent in boats which at that time orcs where not capable to make. Warcraft 2 starts with orcs invading with a new build fleet. Also with the appearance of the dark portal that allowed them to connect the two continents.
The second war humans win. The third war was a human invasion back to the original continent (war 2 dark portal) and again I think the humans lose.
Or at least this is what remember...

I would like to have more maps but the only ones i can find are from googles :(
But from what i know, yes geography have been altered, in a good way!
Let's try to split geography in 2 part, Before 2001, and after 2001, why 2001? Because 2001 it's the year World of warcraft (the game) have been announced, by this fact it's the year map have been add and modify hardly, but i will not said bad modify because before 2001 there was like 1 map and ill just show you on my first post. So warcraft was a really little world in the past *We talk about WC1 and WC2* or at least what blizzard show us was little!
Im happy you also talk about the first wars and the origins of the orcs, im pretty sure most of peoples still think orc and human comming from the same world, but in fact your totally right, Orc comming from another world we call Draenor, a world destroyed by the magic of Gul'dan, Gul'dan An orc shaman sell out to a deamon named sargera who want to destroy Azeroth because Guardian of Azeroth and mother of medivh kill him.
In fact he act like mother of medivh kill him, but actually it was a trap and slip his soul in medivh mother untill she was pregnant of medivh and became a part of medivh later when he was born, after a long run as a guardian of azeroth mother of medivh decide to make medivh the new guardian of azeroth but she dint know sargera was still alive in his son.
When she know it, it was too late and medivh aka sargeras was the guardian of azeroth, or can we said the nightmare of azeroth.
So sargera decide to speak with gul'dan in draenor and make a plan to destroy azeroth by building a big portal between the two world and let orc get in azeroth.
Im gonna explain the beginning more in details this week.
