what's with all the .7z files?  i guess we can assume those are dk2 warvid recordings inside based on the size

what are you, a newbie? its a popular zip file, use 7zip to unpack it. Or probably any other mainstream option.

When i played swift, i was under an impression that he has some kind of spothack or w/e. he's 4, im 9, he peonscouts 9 instantly. Ok. Rematch, he's 4, im 6, he scouts 5 -> 6... sigh. And now, the first warvideo i see, he starts 9 and goes blind lumbermill @ the top trees. And poof, allstar is s9

Did you ever see braviet's weird warvid on that water map?  Multiple times something weird happens in the recording with units in the fog lighting up.

no i haven't, but braviet is another one that i'm pretty sure hacks but can't prove, as stated here:

Do you have it? share please

like 99% of the video there's nothing to see, but like 4 or so times he'll be unloading a transport on viruz's island and then you see some of viruz's units you shouldn't be able to see.  Any idea what could cause that?  Ask Burnt, he had it but he erased the thread.  I would search the forums and find it for you but it doesn't exist here anymore.

Actually I bet it's The spiral game here:
http://forum.war2.ru/index.php/topic,311.msg3599.html#msg3599 (http://forum.war2.ru/index.php/topic,311.msg3599.html#msg3599)

edit: the suspicious one may have been removed from there.  He says "game 2 added" but it was edited 2 days later, I bet it used to have "game 2 and 3" but game 3 got edited out.  However, you can see if you can spot anything in games 1 or 2.  There was initially a whole thread pointing out the time stamps where weird things happen in a game but I know that thread was deleted.

Watch video one at 6:50.  I think he turns on hacks around  6:55.  I think he's caught hacking.  Toggles them on real fast before he makes the tower, so he knows where to put it.

I believe the first time this was brought up people were wondering if those flashes could be a recording glitch.  But I don't think so.  On the other hand, it's so fast, what would he be doing there?  Deleting frames from the warvid?  I'm not sure.

dude, it's really suspicious, it makes sense that he's checking out if he built any more buildings before towering. The entire map literally lightened up. I dont think ive ever had it in my warvids, but that 'proof' is very slippery in case you want to consider it one
Title: Re: Looking for pro warvideos
Post by: Certified MENSA Genius Brain (smart) on April 08, 2015, 01:02:03 PM
Like, it's not fast enough to really see anything, so it's sort of confusing.  But warvid just records what's on your screen, it doesn't know anything you can't see, and in the video I saw before, it actually revealed some men during the flash, which I don't think warvid could ever do the way it's programmed.  If you watch more of the video or the other video in that thread you'll probably find more examples.  The original one I saw it happened a lot of times.  So far I just saw once in the first video though but it's definitely not the only time such a thing happens on a braviet replay.

I think i had something similar happen, like an entire building explored for a blink of an eye when a catapult next to it shot me or something, can't really tell, but definitely a rare occurance. it looks strange in braviets case.
Hmm, a mouse macro button with a mh for 0.2s would give him enough knowledge about his enemy (spots, checking for expos or hidden raxes, strats). OTOH, would he be stupid/cocky enough to share warvids with his hacks? o.O that doesn't make much sense

It is a tournament so the warvid is required.  He sends to Burnt due to requirement.   edit: Omg it was the freakin festival.  >:(  Knocked out Viruz in semis and lost to Swift in final.  So in game 3 vs Viruz, the deciding game, he hacked hardcore and it's in the replay Burnt has.  Please upload it back up Burnt

And yes you can see around a catapult when it shoots but that's clearly different from what happened here with the map getting lit up.

Title: Re: Looking for pro warvideos

Maps never ever, NEVER EVER fucking lit up. I've played this game too long and too legit to know this.

yes, and a smart maphacker will have it on for a short period of time, that way the minimap DOESNT alter but he can still see things on his screen. If the original warvid file is like that as well (so its not recorder/youtube anomaly), its enough to raise attention!

Burnt, put game 3 back up.  Upload dk2 file.  People should be able to look at the evidence and decide if this is hacking.  I think it is.
Title: Re: Looking for pro warvideos
Post by: Certified MENSA Genius Brain (smart) on April 08, 2015, 03:14:37 PM
This is clear hacking though.  Notice how he unloads his units back there on the coast.  Then he deliberately moves his map over to an unsee-able area in front of his men.  Because that's where you're about to go, and you're about to light that shit up with hacks and decide how to move your units in.  Thinking about it this is 100% proof imo.  No way warvid or youtube would randomly light up a map to the revealed color like that.  Youtube doesn't know what color that is.
Title: Re: Looking for pro warvideos
Post by: I hate naggers on April 08, 2015, 03:24:12 PM
i'd like to have the original warvid file in my hands as well as maybe one more occurrence of this, then the judgement would be clear. rest assured nobody will be surprised when they find out he hacked... at least not the smart ones like me.
I dont think 1 frame from 1 vid is enough to ban him (i mean he's not even active anymore, but still).
For example in one of my vids my entire base changed colour from blue to bright red, i can't explain how it happened, but shit happens

Anomaly in game 2 (selected area lighted up, his submarine disappeared). Now the hacking makes zero sense and not the entire area lit up. That's where my benefit of the doubt is coming from

In the other video that used to be up, the map also lit up after he was unloading a transport, which seems to be a pattern... and the other video does give us more than one example.  But it's not available for now.

You get benefit of the doubt from that?  I think it's a mix of the time the hack is turned on with him moving his minimap.  But the bottom line is, that's revealing coast line that clearly was never explored.  We know 100% that this is not a youtube/conversion glitch, because youtube doesn't know what The spiral.pud looks like.  It's either hacking, a War2 glitch of War2 displaying that coast for a split second, or a warvid glitch, in which warvid actually does learn the layout of the pud and doesn't just straight record what is on your screen.  But I don't believe it's either of the second two options because I've never heard of anything like this happening except in a braviet vid.

obviously it's either his hax or warvid glitch. You gave great explanation as for why his mh was ideally timed in the game 1, but in game 2 it doesn't really make much sense to toggle mh, it was super random. So idk. Ill be careful with all the warvids i watch from now on, looking for that kind of glitch. I dont think it's ever happened to me

im like 60/40 hax/glitch right now
Title: Re: Looking for pro warvideos
Post by: Certified MENSA Genius Brain (smart) on April 08, 2015, 04:38:07 PM
yeah i guess.  just to note, you can see the line where the vision begins in frame 2 there, and see how that matches up with how he's moved the screen down in frame 3.  also your own units disappearing is a well-known side effect of hax.  we can analyze more when we get the other game.  one reason he might toggle the hack on here is because he's taken two exps and he's wondering which islands viruz has (edit: or maybe not, since it doesnt seem to impact the minimap...).  he may already know where he started by this point and is wondering what his exp looks like if he has one.  or it could be automated hack that only blinks on for very short periods and only gets caught in warvid once in awhile, or a hack bug.

here is some possible exculpatory evidence.  i saw another flash in the first replay, shortly after the first flash.

first off, the first flash showed no units there in the lit area.  and as i watched the replay unfold it did appear likely there were no units there.

however, second flash also showed no units, and i think there probably would have been units there... 3 seconds later when he moves down there, there's certainly peon traffic and a couple grunts.  then again, the chopping peons are below where the map was in the lit frame, so they wouldnt be there, and the other grunts and peons seem to just be moving up and running at that time.  so maybe not.  i think this moves the meter more toward warvid glitch but still not sure

Ooh, solid glitch evidence for the example I just posted:

7:09 Building is lit up as a town hall
7:16 Building is a complete stronghold

Cannot go from town hall to completed stronghold in 7 seconds.

i have no idea, but as you can see, certain areas are litting up as well. I know its different, but if certain squares at my vid kept litting up for no reason, i am more inclined to believe his warvid might have been buggy too
Title: Re: Looking for pro warvideos
Post by: Certified MENSA Genius Brain (smart) on April 10, 2015, 08:23:35 AM
Dragon breath seems sort of like a graphics rendering thing.  Like when you pause in warvid and it doesn't bother to turn the recording grey.

The key is whether warvid "downloads" puds or whatever.  When it exposed that coastline that is completely unexplored, how does it even know that coastline exists?  It would have to have gathered pud data which I didn't think it did, but I guess maybe it could.  Is there any way to figure out how warvid works?
Title: Re: Looking for pro warvideos
Post by: I hate naggers on April 10, 2015, 08:32:01 AM

Title: Re: Looking for pro warvideos
Post by: Teron-Gorefiend on April 10, 2015, 09:39:18 AM
War2 records what the user sees on the screen on a picture by picture basis essentially. This is how I am aware it is supposed to work...
Title: Re: Looking for pro warvideos
Post by: Certified MENSA Genius Brain (smart) on April 10, 2015, 10:33:26 AM
That's how i thought it worked too.  in which case, yeah.

But perhaps it does some small things to save space like download the terrain at the start of the game so it only has to record unit images and overlay them onto the map.  but that brings up the fog issue and how it knows where the fog should be.  it would have to also know unit sight scores and fog behavior :/  maybe you could test this by recording a ranger before and after upgraded vision, lol prob not

But I think it's just a huge collection of screenshots/frames, a straight video program.  Set higher or lower frame rate and it stores more of them.  Hence why you get 25mb f iles.
Title: Re: Looking for pro warvideos
Post by: I hate naggers on April 11, 2015, 02:54:51 AM
if black terrain explored for a second = hax, then not only should we ban braviet, but also swift.

(http://i.imgur.com/F9sUuPl.jpg)

in swfits case, before the halls were finished, he strangly went a little bit up and that's when the minimap lit up (he recorded with 4-5 FPS so it was just one frame). That would go nice with my 'spothack' theory, but I'm still not convinved that it equals hax. Got any email to warvid creator? lol

There is the source code for warvideo. Can't anybody figure it out here? Fuck, I don't see it on occult...

Readme of warvideo source:

Spoiler
========================================================================
       MICROSOFT FOUNDATION CLASS LIBRARY : WarVideo
========================================================================

AppWizard has created this WarVideo application for you.  This application
not only demonstrates the basics of using the Microsoft Foundation classes
but is also a starting point for writing your application.

This file contains a summary of what you will find in each of the files that
make up your WarVideo application.

WarVideo.dsp
    This file (the project file) contains information at the project level and
    is used to build a single project or subproject. Other users can share the
    project (.dsp) file, but they should export the makefiles locally.

WarVideo.h
    This is the main header file for the application.  It includes other
    project specific headers (including Resource.h) and declares the
    CWarVideoApp application class.

WarVideo.cpp
    This is the main application source file that contains the application
    class CWarVideoApp.

WarVideo.rc
    This is a listing of all of the Microsoft Windows resources that the
    program uses.  It includes the icons, bitmaps, and cursors that are stored
    in the RES subdirectory.  This file can be directly edited in Microsoft
   Visual C++.

WarVideo.clw
    This file contains information used by ClassWizard to edit existing
    classes or add new classes.  ClassWizard also uses this file to store
    information needed to create and edit message maps and dialog data
    maps and to create prototype member functions.

res\WarVideo.ico
    This is an icon file, which is used as the application's icon.  This
    icon is included by the main resource file WarVideo.rc.

res\WarVideo.rc2
    This file contains resources that are not edited by Microsoft
   Visual C++.  You should place all resources not editable by
   the resource editor in this file.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

AppWizard creates one dialog class:

WarVideoDlg.h, WarVideoDlg.cpp - the dialog
    These files contain your CWarVideoDlg class.  This class defines
    the behavior of your application's main dialog.  The dialog's
    template is in WarVideo.rc, which can be edited in Microsoft
   Visual C++.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Other standard files:

StdAfx.h, StdAfx.cpp
    These files are used to build a precompiled header (PCH) file
    named WarVideo.pch and a precompiled types file named StdAfx.obj.

Resource.h
    This is the standard header file, which defines new resource IDs.
    Microsoft Visual C++ reads and updates this file.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Other notes:

AppWizard uses "TODO:" to indicate parts of the source code you
should add to or customize.

If your application uses MFC in a shared DLL, and your application is
in a language other than the operating system's current language, you
will need to copy the corresponding localized resources MFC42XXX.DLL
from the Microsoft Visual C++ CD-ROM onto the system or system32 directory,
and rename it to be MFCLOC.DLL.  ("XXX" stands for the language abbreviation.
For example, MFC42DEU.DLL contains resources translated to German.)  If you
don't do this, some of the UI elements of your application will remain in the
language of the operating system.

Claw - I don't need to look at whatever Warvid of mine you're referring to because I am confident there is no signs of hacking in any of them, because  I've never edited one. I spent my good days, 06-08, putting a lot of effort into proving to you all that I play fair. To this day I will take any SS, Warvid, live stream, put a camera on a stand right next to me as I play, or any other idea one can think of. It just needs to be the person(s) I am playing that request such, not watchers. Cheaters won't offer that 10 years running, so go ahead and continue to waste your valuable time looking for something that isn't there.

P.S. You aren't as smart as you tell yourself and everyone you are. Remember when you came to me for my War2 advice/opinions? You asked me what the best strategy(or strategies?) is, as if there is some definitive known answer to that. I told you that there really isn't, but you couldn't wrap your head around that and went around talking shit to others as if I were the moron in that exchange. I always thought you to be closed-minded. Thanks for proving the same.

Actually you did, you specifically replied to my post "have any warvids to share?" That's about as direct as it gets.

Hell you've also specifically asked me numerous times on the old forums and on the game for Warvids. In fact, you even mentioned me in your OP as one of the few players you particularly want warvids of.  ;D

Trust me when I say this, when it comes to finding an appraiser for my warvids you're over qualified for the job.

This thread is a general thread about warvids. you jump in talking about jibberish so of course i tried to set you back on topic. no amount of words will change that. you see, i never give a shit about anyone/anything when i'm right - and this is the case here. haven't you figured it out yet?

also, no. not interested in buying, they aren't really worth much... unless you'd give me a quality 5 warvid pack of 4v5 gaywars, then i could give you a dolla!
Title: Re: Looking for pro warvideos

So your argument is that you're right because I went off topic/started talking about jibberish and you merely tried to set me back on topic.

YET, I never went off topic.
I merely replied to two things already brought up by you
1. your premature and unfounded accusations, things which you brought up in more than just one post.
2. you calling yourself smart again

So, unless you were off topic to begin with (turning your warvid thread into a hacking investigation, and talking yourself up (like you just did again in your latest post), then I wasn't off topic either. I merely followed your lead.

Clear case of stupidity on your part.

You finally realize that you're wrong, but let me break our convo down for you anyway:

Fag(this is you, Claw):
*Goes off topic on his own thread to start accusing people of cheating*
*Mentions how smart he is, like he always does*

Best War2 Player ever (that's me, Swift):
*replies to defend himself of accusations made by Fag, and also argues claims Fag made about himself believing himself to be smart*

Fag:
*You're off topic, and I am so right and very smart*

4/5 Wars are especially complex and require one to go through a steep learning curve in order to master. Fortunately for you, studying my Warvids will allow you to bypass that hard and time consuming learning curve - for just $5 a pop. Let me know how many you would like on your first order. When you're ready I'll PM you my Paypal details.
