Title: [Info]Email to account...
Post by: Delete mine too on July 03, 2015, 04:05:18 PM
I been reading a lot of people's comments here and on old forums. What if people are seeing unable to authenticate map and logging off saying fuck it?

Can we add some php code so we can add an email to our accounts. Change the TOS and so on account create is rules and words saying do not use same passwords and so on. Will have help get our account easily.... if needed.

We can connect with starcraft and add an email that way or a bot. So?

its easier than that
we have a big graphical banner that noone uses.

make a banner with a big ass font in red 'Unable to authenticate map? Click here'

No this will not be a problem and pedo that issue would not exist. He could just change the pws and you can reset them with email..... And use the banner and actually update it. Some one should make a couple banners.....

The existing accounts don't have associated emails so it doesn't help us with the current situation, and no one reads the TOS when they register accounts. iL did send /mails to all the affected accounts didn't he? Could do a /w greet message too to try to get people's attention.

So when client prompts us to enter email, it's not stored at all?

Yes just not the accounts created already. Which something could be made so we can add them though. To prevent this in the future.

That looks like people reads nothing.
I sent /mail to each account, lots questions here means they don't know how to use /mail or what does "You have x message(s) in your mailbox." mean.
We also have several threads with different names on this forum, but people still asks questions about that.
Looks like we can add banners, any forum threads but people will keep asking questions.
I also hope they can get help from any of you as soon as the question is well-known now.

Have been trying to reach people directly through chat, but most just ignore you. Unfortunately, I have seen many people just make new names...which is good that they are still gaming but I am sure they are pissed their main aka's with their friend's lists is not working.

Banner is good start but still need a better solution to inform people.

People giving bad advice.  "Reinstall War2."  I could reactivate Hayley's account but did she even change password yet?  Did anyone tell her to?

I did, and I believe the user did change login credentials.

I reactivated your Mr Vega Account. So just log in under that name and I'll delete this one. Remember to change the email address to a live one though.
