I guess it had to happen eventually, but it looks like the old forum at http://war2.warcraft.org/forum/ (http://war2.warcraft.org/forum/)has finally gone :( or at least its down right now.
But it doesn't look like it's just down because the homepage of warcraft.org (http://warcraft.org) is still there collecting clicks, but all the links on it are broken. Maybe (hopefully) I'm wrong.
Anybody know if there's a backup/archive of this anywhere? Would be a shame to lose all that history (lame-ass flame wars and all)

All of $paCes and claws multiple accounts posts on those forums need to be saved for humanitys sake.

Axolotl answered me: "Let me find out...." on dec 15.
And nothing more...
According to "no such domain" answer, that looks like things go really bad with it.
I'd be glad to attach that forum as occult.war2.ru or to setup new phpbb forum with restored database dump somewhere or to do anything else for that, but Axolotl doesn't answer.
That's really sad to loose all that data.
All we have now is a static copy, recursively downloaded with max depth 3...

Well maybe not true! How deep the wayback machine go? Have you checked? I archived the forums before I left there a few years ago.

You cant log in or anything because it tries to authenticate at war2.warcraft.org, which doesn't exist but you can still read the posts.... for now.

we host that, so it's not going away as long as the other sites are up. Would be nice to get the full database but that's in axo's hands. :o
