1 year left since the /ss system have been released.

2230 ss have been processed since 2021 May 13.

Moved old screenshots to a subdirectory.

You feel free to use /ss up to 3 times in a game any moment you want to request ss.

Let me know is some issues appear.

Sure, you can add it manually using the gateway editor as explained in my link: https://en.war2.ru/support/moving-from-gog-server-to-server-war2-ru/
But there's a small moment with GoG:
Original war2 (and Combat released as close as possible to original) keeps gateways in registry in \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Battle.net\Configuration
GoGs decided to change their path to gateways to: \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Battle.net\W2\Configuration

So you can use the gateway editor to change gateways in the original path, but you should change it manually in \W2\Configuration for GoG.

Due to political issues related to .ru we enforced replace gateways from .ru to .online.
The changes will be applied automatically when you join the server.

Sure! All you need to do with GoG is to apply .reg-file.

Although I highly recommend using War2Combat - it's much better and free of many GoG issues.

Otherwise it would be a little strange: the installer is in Bahasa, but the game itself is not. But anyway it's great!

This one seems like it could be verified.  Where is the journalist's article who posted these?

No idea. All I know is that some Western journalists took pictures of it.
I don't know if they have already written this article or not.
I saw this serial number in Russian telegram channels...

If I were a general with absolutely NO conscience at all and I got ahold of serialized weapons,  you can bet your ass I'd do the most terroristic things with it if it gave me some sort of advantage (which putting fear in people does have as far as war is concerned) because it would be easy to place blame on the other side simply by saying "See look, serials match those of the opponent, it wasnt us!".

This is also one more argument:

I would also say that such provocations are not good for Russia, since Russia is very weak in the information war.

I think the result would not be instilling fear, but embittering the enemy.

The general concept of the Russian government:
Ukrainian Nazis consider Eastern Ukrainians to be second-class people, they hide behind civilians as human shields, they put their military equipment in kindergartens and hospitals so that the Russians cannot shoot at them, they kill civilians to pass it off as Russian aggression.
The Nazis also said they would not abide by the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War, they tortured them. They use cluster bombs, place mines insecurely fixed in the sea, which is prohibited by all international agreements.
And much of this they do under the guidance of NATO instructors.

The Russian media say that it was another provocation, the same as in Bucha, only even more rude and sloppy:
1. Tochka-U is not being used by Russian troops, but is used by Ukrainian ones.
2. Tochka-U hit from the side of the Ukrainian troops. This can be judged by the location of the debris.
3. The serial number preserved on the side of the rocket reveals its Ukrainian origin. And that serial number was photographed by Western journalists to let people know the truth.

In general, for the last week, the Russian authorities have been saying almost every day that the Ukrainians are going to arrange one or another provocation with the massacre of the civilian population, the purpose of which is to shift the blame to Russia.

since there is no reply from blid and his ladder project is dead, it feels like one of the main features is missing for months now. i think this hurts the game.

is it possible for you or another admin to restore the old ladder? would a separate non-gow ladder be possible? deleting the main reason this game still exists (gow) from ladder sounds like a very bad idea to me

It's possible to restore victory conditions (gow) to count new gow games as ladder.
Not sure how to count games already played

Our project will use another domain name now, in addition to war2.ru:
warcraft2.online

Many people told about to change .ru to something country-independent, saying something like "people from other countries hate russians" or w/e else.
That hurts me, i think many russians are very good guys, but who cares?

And now, given the current political situation, another problem has arisen.

Our official position:
We are out of politics, our project just gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy playing war2!
Regardless of nationality, country of residence, religion, skin color, gender, language and other features.
You can have any opinion on any of these issues as long as you don't force them on others.

Unfortunately, some ISPs have decided to restrict access to some domains just because they are in the ru zone.
At least some (or all) Ukrainian ISPs.

That's why, here's the new domain for our projects! Warcraft2.online.

Now you can use the same domain names for bnet-servers to write them into gateways (server.warcraft2.online, backup.warcraft2.online)
And i just configured forum on several domains:
forum.war2.ru, and also forum.warcraft2.online (separately for http and https for testing purposes).

At least one of these names should work fine for all the countries in the world.

Going to make new domain names working for other resources soon (en, server, ladder, ftp and others).
Please, try  https://forum.warcraft2.online and let me know if you find any problems with it.

I think nobody wants to offend him or force him to leave.

Both his Facebook profiles deleted, haven’t talked to him just seeing if dudes good , anyone talk to him?

Are our groups and pages still under our control? Tora, tk, someone else have any access to these resources?

He closed his YouTube account... Bye bye warcraft2 videos

So we completely lost that youtube? Closed or deleted?

Yes, Putin looks stupid here. I thought he said truth and that was ukrainian fake.

Putin looks very angry at his military leaders who made an idiot of him. As he told, he gave an order to categorically exclude the involvement of conscripts to perform any tasks on the territory of Ukraine.
Now they say: "one of the units performing the tasks of providing the rear was attacked", "A number of servicemen, including conscripts, were captured".

Looks like a mistake of the commanders, otherwise why would he say that there are no conscripts?
