This new site is great!
Simple minimalist design, should be especially perfect for some socials and tablet devices.

And yeah, iL thought they should be clickable too. The entire icon section is still kind of up in the air; I may make them clickable, or restyle them to look less like buttons, or remove them entirely.

I think you should do something with that as soon as 2 people have the same feeling about clickable.
It makes people sad when they have instinct to click something and see it's not clickable.
Especially as the next page contains the same design for clickable buttons.

Also, maybe to show more than 8 recent forum posts, how do you think?

Also agree that users online should be added somewhere.
I think i need to redesign that advenced status page to make it narrow, any offers about that?
It's up to you, mousey, since you're the main with design things.

It took 2 minutes to change the background.

As i understand, that should be some kind of correlation between different colors onpage. You can't just change one of the colors, otherwise the page will loss expressiveness or something like that...
You always have to keep some kind of correspondence between colors...
I'm not a designer, maybe mousey can explain that better than me.

But me can change the forum theme to something else...

Forum redesign just isn't a priority I'm afraid, it'd be a ton of work on its own + the fact it's a platform I'm unfamiliar with theming. It's also fundamentally eye candy, offering no substantial benefits or improvement. And, when the new forum was started the general consensus was that a simple, plain theme was preferred to a heavily customized one.

I think we don't need some custom design, but we can easily find some different theme for smf.
The main problem is compatibility with some cutomization we use for the forum.
And another problem is "we fear changes", as mousey said and i agree with her.
This forum looks as similar as possible to warcraft occult, some people like that design, some - want to see the new one.

I think could be a good idea to make a poll about redesign the forum?

My thoughts: everybody can advertise the tournament, request /ann permissions for that, we can give /ann permission for any known member then.

'announce should be used not more often than every 30mins before the day of the tournament'
'announce can be used as often as every 15mins X hours before the tournament'
'thou shalt announce only official, formal messages about the tournament exclusively'

Agree, looks reasonable.

Someone's intention to provide the tournament looks reasonable, i don't see any reasons to decline that.

Are there any offers from any possible tournament directors?

The fourth times it was burnt again

So, You have been banned by Burnt twice, also by me, by tk, by mousey, and your request is only against mousey, why?
That looks like she is not your main offender, all of us are.

According to your logic, she is biassed against you, but other admins are also biassed. And more than her.

Moustopher is the second one who ban me because i ask here to delete my account and she told me ** deleting is only for spammer ** what i do, spam the forum, but she lie to me and just ban me..

As i understand what she told about: deleting is closed for users because of some technical reason like spambots fighting in several specific cases, e.g.
That didn't mean something like "spamming is being punished by account deletion", there's also no such line in the Rules.
The rule is: "Spam, obnoxious pictures, offtopic garbage should cause muting".
She didn't break the rules when enforced ban for spamming. So that is not a reason to complain against mousey.
I'd say, that is misunderstanding.

We discussed that situation 2 days later between admins and agreed that we should afford an opportunity to delete an account by request. I added that permission to axe throwers group (for you) and posted that in one of your threads, not sure if you read that.

All these ban are biase from admins who dint respect my free speech and my request, there no real ban in this, even better, then no real community ban in this.

Let me try to explain my point of view:
I agree that bans have not been applied according to our Rules, that is not perfect.
Another thing is in that 5 months you became in war with our admins and the whole war2ru project.
That was bad for the total project and the community, admins have been tired of you (in spite of your actions according the Rules most of the time) so they've been happy to get clear of you.
I don't like that decision, but i understand it. 5 months of hatred from your side, nothing (almost) positive.
Also others (not admins only) have been agree with permbanning you (even if not according the Rules), that ganz poll: http://forum.war2.ru/index.php/topic,579.0/viewresults.html

I'm sure your intentions were good: to fight against hackers, to make the game and the community better. But your methods was a problem: threatening, blackmail, slander, entreats. These are all kinds of manipulation, that never works. At least, that never works for a long time.
I think reasonable methods are: argumentation and convincing.
If you can't convince "stupid admins", you feel free to make polls, convince and attract other people, i think that is a good way to know the majority wishes.

I said and i will say that all i do, i do for community, so i'd be interested to know their opinion and try to follow it, to find any compromise between different wishes when possible. So i think such polls are very useful for all of us.

First of all i want to said thank you for the effort you give, i see it with the pool and this post, you finally cares about my opinions.

Thank you too, i try to care about anyone's opinion, at least to understand them and let them understand me.

The probleme i got with her is about she is nobody

Agree with your side: admin should know the community and understand their wishes. That is an important thing.

But here's another side: admin should be unbiassed against people in the community.
If admin takes active part in the community relations and have many friends and many enemies before to become an admin, it will be almost impossible for him to keep unbiassed.
Even if he will be 100% fair:
- he will alienate his friends when punishing them.
- and his enemies will cry about his power abuse when he ban them.
That's why i'd consider non-participation in the community relations should be more an advantage than a disadvantage.

About mousey - i hope she will learn the community and it's wishes better during her mod activity. Just give her time for that.

As i rememeber admins permbanned you about 4 or 5 times in that period, but mousey didn't.
Not sure who did, Blid or Burnt, mousey just repeated bans for your new accounts, that is mostly a technical moment. It was not her decision to ban you, she just maintained your ban state.
She just do what other admins decide.

I had 67 positive karma, until I see it restored I am not coming back. iL, I told you about mousetopher and her abusing power, now do you believe me?

Well, as i said in my 1-st post about karma, i think it means nothing as it works now: everyone can applaud or smite everyone, it's easy to do it as many times as you wish, nodoby will see what for.
You can get 100 of + in a year of good posts and then 100 of - in 1 day who diskiles you (or just for fun).

What i just made for karma is simple log for debug purposes.

I think all this karma thing is just a toy, no reason to care of it.
Of course i agree that admins should not delete your positive karma, but i also agree you should not turn up your karma by some tricks.
Karma thing would be useful only if everybody will vote for others' posts fairly when they like or dislike them, but no way to enforce that.

You need to patch out some commands or /p is worthless. We talked about this before. My old program would bypass ping... because of commands bug.

I don't remember the details, but looks important. Can you describe that, maybe link to old talks, maybe PM?

I don't think it will work with combat files, they have been regrouped with some combat logic, but need to check that. Maybe it's easy to make combat compatible as wargus source.
You can download war2bne iso and mount (or unpack) it.

You probably implemented the trigger for player in slot 2? How about the trigger for increasing total amount of players in game? That should work with any type of the game and for more then 2 players (beep for each new player joining).

I still didn't test it, sorry, too busy with my real life and main work now...

I don't think idling is something we should fight at least now.
Let them make an illusion of quantity, why not?
Status or w/e tools will show the real idle time also.

Maybe later (after we have avg 100+ or 200+ online) that will be a reason to drop idlers from the server.

i dont have ss it happen too fast and i dont waste my time with that.

What is too fast? What you should do is to type /p and open the players list to make SS in any moment during the game.

Well, i'll try to check logs, maybe to find some indirect signs about spoofing...

polo is not one of known cheaters, it's a smurf of another good and respectful player, so we can't consider him guilty without proofs...
I just can get it under control for possible future actions.

Another point of view:
should we enforce the Rules? Who will care of it? Blid, Burnt? Do you think they will do it better?

Nobody enforced the rules before, Mousey was the first who began, and is she bad now? It's very difficult to start the Rules enforcing for the 1-st time.

You feel free to agitate people to change their votes for Rules poll, then she will never warn people.

Yes she abuse of power and ban everyone, she also lazy and only do what she want.

Where did she abuse of power? She always follows the Rules as i see, never warns people with no reason. Let me know if i miss something.
As for me, she is much more fair than other admins. Note that it was not she who permbanned you when people voted for that.
So why do you vote against her?

The only one who dislike her is Evil~Ryu, but i have to say i agree with her warnings in general.

No she perfect nothing had to be change.

I'd say yes, she is one of the best and the most fair admins i know.

I'd wish her to be patient and consecutive in her hard mod job. Unfortunately she is too busy sometimes...
