cool thanks tupac

heres the read me file for the "Madd0x" bot. I think it is much more advanced than WarWinner and may be more useful for hostbot, may be easier to mod then a SC bot, if it provides UDP functions that we need. However, I still have not found the source or exe ("Winningbot.exe")

Ryu,

Please continue your work to collect War2 Trivia.

I disagree with SmurfKing, there is lots of War2 Trivia that is BOTH INTERESTING AND USEFUL TO KNOW

xXxSmeagolxXx is a freakin real-life trivia bot

He knows so much obscure things, War2 numbers etc, that all add to why he is so good at pball. Just the other day he was telling me about how the max number of spaces a fireball can be thrown from, the max number a fireball can kill (1/1 units in pball) etc

Hi War2 Modders,

I was reading this interview with a BNETD developer and he was talking about the packet structure for server/client communication

 http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/onlamp/2002/05/09/bnetd.html?page=2

These are the types of packets sent (I think this is TCP only)

bn_byte = single byte
bn_short = two bytes
bn_int = four bytes
bn_long = eight bytes

When I create a game and watch with WireShark, I see a few packets slide by, looks like some TCP length of 4 or 8 like bn_int and bn_long above

and then theres 1 UDP packet, and I dont understand what its data contains

Curious to learn more about how you (tupac /others) reverse engineer these things and how/if I can help

I think modifying an old winbot is a great idea to start with, I guess theres been some problem with WarWinner not having UDP support tho.

It was my understanding that winbots never even created real games, they just sent "win" information to the server every 2minutes saying that an imaginary game was played, but I guess real games are actually created so in theory we should be able to modify that to be a hostbot

I remember there was another winbot back in the day called MaddoX Winbot, but I havent been able to find a copy online

Claws article is not a waste of time, ITS NOT AS CHANGING GAME DATA PORTS WITH REG FILE

Basically for 2 player WITH PC1 ABLE TO HOST:

1. Regedit using Claw's forum post. Set your PC1 Game Data Port to 6112
2. Regedit PC2, set Game Data Port to 6120
3. On your router, forward ports 6112-6119 to PC1. Also Forward 6120 to PC2.

Now PC1 can host, and PC2 can join his game or another game.

Claws post for changing Game Data Port in Reg http://forum.war2.ru/index.php/topic,151.0.html

Troubleshooting:
To make sure PC1 is using 6112, and PC2 is using 6120, log on to war2.ru and type "/netinfo"

General Discussion / CryptoWall Virus
« on: May 26, 2015, 12:42:58 AM »
Yeah, my girlfriends laptop got crypto 2 last october, ive researched it extensively, youre pretty screwed as you probably know by now. This is a great warning to everyone to have a solid backup solution in place.

As has already been said, theres no "fix" its all encrypted and youre files are toast.

Interesting suggestion to try to do some forensic file recovery tho, i will look into that, its an interesting possibility, but the virus is so sophisticated, im sure the authors would not have left a work around like that.

One thing i would like to add to this thread tho, i am keeping all the encrypted files, stored on an extra hard drive, in the hope that someday law enforcement or another hacker group seizes the server that these hackers are operating from and releases the keys. The keys to open these files are out there, its just a matter of time before someone catches these guys and releases them (hopefully) and then you can unlock your files

You can move the cursor, but up down or sideways, the main screen stays viewing the same area. Fix by clicking inside minimap

Cursor in minimap is a different issue, i was originally referring to the main screen being frozen, cursor is free however

Server.War2.ru / Backstabbing not against the rules? Loophole?
« on: April 25, 2015, 07:18:49 PM »
Were talking about pball, where in a matter of seconds you can be rushed by your ally and killed before you can even unally to fight back. All i ask is for this persons IP and AKA to be revealed, i even have war2video for proof.

This cowardly act should be discouraged heavily by any means neccessary, it is not just "part of the game"

Even in game like gow, what if its a 2v2, and you take on both enemies, defeat them both, but your ally just builds his army and does nothing then kills you once you are run down from winning a 2v1, you want to promote this as fair, part of the game?

Countries hack other countries in real life too, your argument is irrelevant

EQ, you and blid are so irrational, i cant even tell when youre being serious or just trolling

Theres nothing "manly" about attack your ally and kill his army as they stand there and dont fight back

Discing on a BSer is not about stats, its about taking the joy away from someone trying to ruin your game and give you a loss
