Hello i always have problems with repping buidlings with my peons vs cats or cannon towers. SOmetimes when i rep in angle ( diagonal) it doesn`t hurt my peon, sometimes it kills it. I saw in some videos how good/pro players can rep without being damaged. Can anyone explain me how does it work and how can i learn/understand how to rep. Thx!!
And if you have any other interesting information about splash damage feel free to write it here.

If you repair with a peon who has lumber on hand you take no splash damage. The lumber acts as an additional shield.

Make a map with an 80 armor gt, some peons and a computer with a cat. Set up the peons, gt and the enemy cat in a way that the cat attacks the tower from various angles. Try to rep the tower and take notes ;p
Of course for example if you rep the tower with your peon closing in an orthogonal angle to the angle of the cat's line of fire, you won't take damage. You can also micro 2 peons, periodically repairing and moving 1 tile away from the gt.
I noticed that in more 'direct' angles, the peon sometimes takes damage and sometimes does not. I don't really get it either.

Thx for the advice. I tryed smth similar, but with a friend and it was just how you say: smth with diagonals, but not always the same, so I got confused.

stand directly behind the path of splash, ur peasant gets whacked. stand the opposite side of the splash and the peasant is free to rep without taking damage. if you're repping a ct attack, 1 peasant is enough. if you're repping a cat attack, you need 2 strategically placed peasants to repair.
there's an even cooler bug in this game that the more advanced players exploit, it's called the tower bug, r you familiar with this? this is why on GoW, 11 falls to 9's towers easier than most spots that are being offensively towered, and why ~paperboy^sol~ dies so easily every time he's my nib...

People love sharing info if they know the answer... But I dont think anyone has a solid answer on this subject for you. Just a "feel" for different situations.

Just play chop. Serious.
After u get pwned in your first 100 tower/cat wars you will understand exactly where splash damage goes.

play vs pc, kill him leave him farm
1.make "alone" farm
2.make catapult
3.hit your farm
4.try repiar your farm
5.u can see where your peons lost hp
6. when its clear in this position move your cata and repeat 3.4.5.6

A cat in the red zone attacking the tower will damage peons on the red squares.
A cat in the blue zone attacking the tower will damage peons on the blue squares.
A cat in the purple zone attacking the tower will damage peons on all 5 squares.
