Why not? What version were you using before that worked when the new version doesn't? Are you using Win10? Have you tried relaunching the game?

When you encounter problems in the main chat like you see there, all you have to do is create/cancel a game and it will fix itself. Those anomalies usually occur with Win8 or Win10. They are just an annoyance really since there is a known workaround for it when it does happen.

I was using the version that lightbringer released a while back, 3.15 I think? I hadn't started playing again until just recently to notice that there was a new version out in like Febuary this year. Thought the thing auto updated when new versions were out?

The create/cancel didn't work which is why you see all the arrows on chat screen.

I reopened war2 and i ended up with this now lol, showing the whole forum page in backround lol. when I joined a game it stayed on the bnet channel lol, couldn't let me click the cancel button on the game either, had to use the hotkey to cancel out

Reopened it again and it's back to what happens in the first screenshot.

I mean, this seems kind of like the win10 problem a lot of people have talked about - im sort of interested in how the other version didnt have this problem.
did you have the old version installed before you upgraded to win10?

I have the same problem with Win7 and WinXP as you see in the ss with the forums in the background when I use Autoit to "grab" the screen when War2 is minimized. The "fix" (for me anyway) is to simply open a game, hit alt-tab, and then click the screen anywhere. The game lobby then maximizes correctly and then I can alt-tab just fine. Never alt-tab when you are not in a game lobby or in a game. If you alt-tab while in the chat, you're bound to F things up from what I've discovered. But this only happens with special circumstances such as using autoit to try to maximize the screen. If I were you, I'd simply get rid of Win8 and Win10. They are worthless anyway ;)

Are you Praisevivec Winchester? That was a pretty good rush / offense you pulled vs me in that 2v3 in 45 Man. You were rushing me hard, didn't expect it cause I never saw you at least for years, then black joined in a bit at the end. I barely got you and survived but I only had a mage and skeleton haha.

Win8/10 are good for tablets

You were rushing me hard, didn't expect it cause I never saw you at least for years, then black joined in a bit at the end. I barely got you and survived but I only had a mage and skeleton haha.
That was my first time playing paintball I think lol, had no idea what any of the units did. Some of the melee units were attacking further then catapults and I was just like what the hell haha.
And well, Mages are Mages :P they remain awesome no matter the map, Fireball OP on that map

Haha yeah here's a little PBall tips and pretty normal PBall range break down(they can vary though):
Footman: 1 range.
Knight: 5 range.
Archer/Alleria: 7 range(sometimes allerias have a higher range than archers on the same map).
Ballista: 8 range(sometimes 9).
Skeleton: 8 range.
Peasant: 9 range.
Mage: 6 range(but a fireball can shoot 17 range).
Those are pretty much ranked worst to best too, your mages and peons are your best fighting units. You also want to stand ground all your men so they don't run off when attacked without you noticing, and spread out your men so they don't get fireballed easily. Footmen are also important in a way too because if you lose them all its a lot harder to fight efficiently. You pretty much always want to go human in PBall(except like 2 Mage 1 Spell either works) it is better than death coil because fireballs can hit the ground, have longer range(17), can kill slightly more max(27), and can kill buildings and cats/ballistas.

Haha sounds good. I used to play BNE's, BGH's, GOW, Free Castles, whatever was up from 2000-2002. Before that from 1998-2000 I played single player beat the campaigns and stuff. As soon as PBall was invented and I found it in 2002 I got hooked. Started playing less of other games, until I mostly only play PBall now. Haha that's me but it can be a fun game to pass time between GOW or whatever games you play, some others do that too.
