New version of War2PLoader released. It will automatically ask you to update next time you start combat.
New version contains some changes in it's protocol to prevent bypassing antihack by cheaters.
You will also see if you run war2 with antihack and if it's actual or not.
When you start war2 using loader, you should see something like: "War2Combat loader, antihack included". Or "War2Combat loader, antihack OUTDATED".
Also note that if you wait for several seconds on the intro screen you will also see status of uPNP service, like this: "War2Combat loader, antihack included, uPNP forwarded successfully". Just an easy way to check if your router have been reconfigured by uPNP or not.
If you don't see a part of message about uPNP, try to click "Show Credits" and OK there. The message should be updated.

This update didn't touch the fronend of status page: http://server.war2.ru/status/ (http://server.war2.ru/status/)
I think i'll rewrite the backend script for status page from scratch as a next step in antihack way...
-
is this a joke? "New version contains some changes in it's protocol to prevent bypassing antihack by cheaters."
To bypass the antihack, all you have to do is use the bnet version.

I mean there were some tricks to get antihack status "OK" but not use antihack. Now it have been fixed.
-
Whos cares about tricks... You just enforcing the anti-hack for a majority when the other half are still allow to hack properly without no probleme.
Dude, how the fucking hell can you be so retard.
-
Just make the AH mandatory already.

Antihack is still in a test stage.
Also the server backend part is a big problem with lots bugs. I can't use it to enforce mandatory antihack.
Otherwise we can get the server where nobody can create a game.
I think need more 3 or 4 steps to make it mandatory.

Is anyone even helping you?

No, i'm making antihack myself.
It's too secret to share algorithms to anybody.
-
Maybe ask Lance for some assistance in debugging?

Well, at least some parts of backend could be implemented by different developer (like Lance for example). Parts for collecting, checking and notifying (banning) users according to the input data from antihack.
Another thing is i think i already have an idea how to implement that myself and Lance is busy with his main work.
So i'll try to do that myself firstly.

There's only 1 new patch. Proper version should be 1.0.0.8. You can check in file properties.

worked for me!

Yes, then it will ask you again every time.
I'll look at logs later.
Do you have UAC enabled? Did it ask admin privileges then? Never caused any problems for my test computers however.
Or maybe just some kind of network problems... Then retry should help.

Are you running Windows 10?
If so, reinstall the game and then try to update.

Now i Reinstalled. First it was hard too install again, had to press "ignore" several times, it was something with the WP2-loader that made the installation gone wrong.
Now when started War2 again same issue is there, it ask for uppdate but it doesnt work. Also I have to install the color fix again.

You may have had an existing war2 process already running in the background which could have stopped the install. Similar thing happened to me and I had to kill the process in task manager. Also, try restarting your computer or go to task manager and see if there are any war2 related processes running in the background.
You are running war2 as administrator correct?

All these problems means bugs in my loader update process, so that would be interesting to for me to check that carefully...

Got it. Looks like you have UAC enabled trying to run that as non-admin, then as admin, but nothing helped. I'll try to fix that to next release.

How did you reach that?
You minimized war2 and tried to start it again? Or War2PLoader have not been finished after you exit war2?

From the first few attempts to update the war2loader. Pressed yes to update and the process just froze. Did this twice, until i decided to just reinstall the game and try to update when it prompted me to. The processes from the previous attempts to update were still running/hanging in the background. I had to kill them manually before it allowed me to reinstall the game.
