Are you playing with the latest version of War2combat downloaded off our site? It supports UPnP for automatic port forwarding, but if your router isn't compatible you can forward your port manually by following this guide (http://en.war2.ru/support/warcraft-ii-hosting-latency-fix/).

Also, none of this affects whether you can join other people's game. If you receive a "latency to the game creator is too high" message when you try to join that means their port isn't forwarded, or in some cases that you conflict with them or someone else in the game.

1024 or 1030?

Temp fix could be to just portforward that also in addition with your 6112-6119. Works for most people I deal with that have this issue.

idk, my game data port is 16112 but when my ports aren't forwarded iL's note bot reports something completely different, which is also listed as Client TCP when I do /netinfo. No idea where it gets it from, I only have to forward 16112 to be able to host though.

Oy, if your'e still having this problem try downloading and reinstalling War2Combat from http://en.war2.ru/getting-started/ (http://en.war2.ru/getting-started/) - I helped Mystical forward his ports yesterday and after 6112 was open he started getting the "1024 is closed message", reinstalling War2 ended up being the fix.

I have started to get that message too :-/ (for port 1024)

To my understanding it is a problem of my router, I need to reboot it and then it is okay.
As the PC ips change every now and then you need to either set a static ip for your pc or put new port FWs every time.

I have chosen the second for now. What happens is that sometimes while you are FWind 6112 it asks you for 1024. A router reboot though fixes that!

Cheers

Just forward 1024 as well.

Yeah it's strange. For Mystical forwarding 1024 didn't work and reinstalling WC got rid of that error, but for bearr reinstalling WC didn't work and forwarding 1024 allowed him to host again. idgi...

Try forwarding 1024, it can't hurt.
