Braviet, u8t, and med have held onto the # 1,2,3 and 4 ladder positions for the entirity of the last 5 months. How are they able to accomplish this feat? By not playing. They do not play anyone but each other creating a monopoly around the top of the ladder, and delegating prize money to each other ( they're friends).

I've been #4,5, and 3 on the ladder for almost 5 months.
Because everyone at the top dodges.
Here is also some fun facts.
Since the server has been up since the last server transfer, braviet has played 5,000 1v1s against the same top 3-5 people on the ladder. But he still loses to me whom has only 240 games played in almost a year.
I think this monopoly of the ladder and it's prizes needs to end.
I've already addressed this issue previously.
So tora, blid, and mouse, anyone who has authority over the ladder,
take action to make sure this ladder monopoly is no longer taking place.
If braviet doesn't defend #2 on the ladder today, then he should be stripped of #2, and trade places at #5 with me.
And i'm not mad. This just common sense.
If you want a competitive ladder, encourage competitiveness.

If you are really a top tier player you will naturally progress your way to the top of the ladder. Swift was demoted because he simply stated he doesn't care about the ladder and refused to finish a series with braviet.

the ladder isn't a popularity contest. i don't fucking care if you enjoy 1v1ing me or not. and it's not your job or anyone else's job to reform behavior of players that long pre-date you. u will compete or u will DIE

everyone wants to play swift. He is a war2 icon. I have far less star power but not too much less skills. and that's the part that is kind of sad.

swift is the only person that can just come out of inactivity and get #1 on the ladder. Competitive war2 takes A LOT of practice and time.
No one ever thinks about how much time they waste practicing on war2, because that's what they've been doing their whole life.
There's a difference between being experienced, and being fresh.

I don't care about the ladder primarily because it's got so many flaws. For instance, yesterday I went 5-0 vs Szwagier and 9-3 vs viet. The 5-0 should have placed me as #1 again, however, due to the system errors it didn't. I believe what happened is, I played szwagier 5 games then viet and szwagier played and somehow the timing of game reports registered the games as if viet beat szwagier once in between the 5 games I played szwagier, and thus viet became #2 (bumping me to #3) and disrupted the #1 bo5 ladder series being registered with me and szwagier.
Also, one of my games vs viet surely didn't count because Warhammer went afk without allying and so a watcher had to kill him. I'm not sure that that rule being used to block ladder games makes any sense.
I've also had a handful of my games vs szwagier, 4 to be exact (3-1), not register on ladder.

they're not worried about losing to me. At least they shouldn't be. I've been dodged almost 100 times in the last 5 months and because of that i can not practice and get unrusty because no one will play me.
And yes it has to do with my attitude, but this is war2 and i'm a troll and ive ALWAYS Been a troll. they just need to not take shit so seriously. they do not know me and i do not know them and i prefer to keep it that way. War2 players aren't my friends and i like it that way.

If you don't like Yamon and ignore ladder match requests because of it, then /ignore him while playing him. Get the watchers to tell you if a rematch is requested. You get to vs him this way, without him annoying you so much.

Lol, i never dodge anyone. The problem Yamon is you're making me wait 5-10 min after each game to go smoke which is annoying if we're doing a serie. So after our first game yesterday you went to smoke, so i alt tabed. When i returned, you were crying about me making you wait and started insulting me. yes i will, and have. i dont go look up every single game myself, but there are players who have learned that if they link me the game reports i add the games. i get requests to get games added every week and have taken action on all requests.

That's probably possible but won't be easy for me personally to do since I'm not much of a code guy. But I do think currently it starts with the total number of players that joined the game, and then subtracts out watchers to get to the 2 people playing (a 1v1). It could probably be changed to instead count the number of people that played from 0 up, instead of from the number of total players down, which would make a watcher dying or disconnecting irrelevant

You should have a variable for game date already. Use that one add this variable
$Date = date('m/d/Y');
You can change it around. Now you can compare.

I'm not sure exactly what didn't work with my code when I tried it, but I think it was dealing with the times. I needed to get two times, first pull a player's most recent game, and then subtract that from the current time. Times are in unix time or epoch actually or something. Then I have to see if the difference in time is over 20 days or 30 or whatever. I think I probably didn't have a problem combing through all the players or doing demotions, just working with the times.

I don't know php and just read and wrote it idk if it works didn't test. You would obviously Get day from your variable and make $day2 or whatever.

You can change it around how it needs to be. You can change the order those parameters are in and see all the parameters and what they do with the date() function. Link is above.
Edit: yeah you can just look up the variable used already probally.

There is an easy solution to this problem. Start a war2 ladder thread in which active ladder players may call out opponents for battle and schedule a time in which they can play against each other. This will allow everyone to witness dodges as well as entice players who "dodge" to play so they may not be forcefully lowered in the ladder rankings. If players are not responsive within a week to the appointment request due to inactivity or dodges then they will automatically be dropped in the ladder rankings.

Not really a theory, when it's kind of obvious. Not trolling, just confused with who you are trying to fool lol...doesn't matter me to the source of the code, why it was probably open sourced so people can use it for their own projects. Just irks me when people take credit for stuff they obviously didn't design.
