What program do you guys use for first person recording?
I tried War2Insight and War2Video but neither have a normal video file extension output.
I also tried "Fraps" but it doesnt capture properly

Really fraps isnt working? I use that for SC and it works fine. What are the settings you are using??

just the standard settings - 30fps or whatever
but its capturing at like 2fps or just giving a black screen

ive try fraps on 3 different computer on the 2 last years and always got black screen too.

What do you mean? When you use hypercam, start the recording (F2) AFTER the game is started. With default codecs. It should work

I use War2Video and record over it with Debut Video Capture. I then use VideoPad Video Editor to add music and make a few edits before I upload it to Youtube. I play on Windows 98 so I'm unable to run Debut on it. Debut may be a good software to use to record your games on the fly but I've never tried it. They are both paid software with free trials and can be downloaded from www.nchsoftware.com (http://www.nchsoftware.com). I think they may have free versions as well but I think you're limited in what format you can record or convert to.

My windows 7 laptop was able to record war2 on fraps, but my XP desktop at the time and my windows 8 laptop can't run it on fraps.

How about OBS? I use it for streaming and it works great, very lightweight and easy to set up. It can be configured to output to file only without broadcasting, but you could just go ahead and register on Twitch and use it for streaming. If you configure Twitch to save past broadcasts they have a built-in feature for sending your vids straight to YouTube.

Youreally scare away any chance of getting new players on here with your GOW is the only game that can be played bullshit and banning "s9" newbs.

I am actualy the only one person ( players or admins ) who have try to made a league between custom players like you and pro gow players like me..
Everyone in my league have to make a team, 6 players per team, 2 gows player, 2 custom player and 2 random players.
Every week i was making event, pre-organizes match up between teams, each captain of every team had to choice who gonna play the event... So if the even is about custom, captain have to choose custom players, if it gow, captain have to choose gow players..
It was the greatest idea ever and way much more since admins was not here since 4 month and let this game literraly die.
When they see i was getting the server back, they appear from no where and try to cock block eveything i was created.
Since this time server as come back like before, no people, bad behavior, people dont let newb watch, peoples dont learn at newbes.
I have create a family when all these admins was not here and let die this game, they destroy it...
Your making your league on your own website right? Did you know they dint want help me because i created my league on my own website too?? They try to control everything, they lie to peoples.
I do way much more then anyone of them.. I take 12 hours per day on games, to talk with peoples and help them and learn them, i have made league, i have made map, the only map on this server created after 2000 and goes popular.. My map was a mix between gow and custom, everyone was playing it, custom and gow was finnally mix it up.
But they fucking destroy EVERYTHING Body!
Take a look, i almost delete everything from the last season but there still some souvenir like my banners and shit.

PS: oh btw, burnt also made a pack of map, with my own map, but he litterally take time to get my name of the title of the map to dint give me my credits.
