Since i moved out to new apartment i have an issue with playing with other people. I can play 1v1, but when more people joins, i conflict with them. Need help how to fix it
-
access your router config page
look for setting called DMZ, its usually somewhere on the NAT or firewall section
set it to enable to your computer name/ip.
-
i have already tried it and doesn't work
-
if u dont give details about your set up it is virtually impossible for u to receive help
thats common practice on any support.
Operating System using.
computer using
type of internet using (ADSL, cable or cellpphone simcard)
router brand model.
wifi or ethernet
is it just 1 router or 2 or more routers on the network.
is that the only computer on the network or is there moer
turned off software firewalls ?
your not helping urself much with not posting these details and also posting all other things you have tried so far
but in general terms... if DMZ didnt work, ur probably doing something wrong.... or missed to do something

Are you connected via ethernet or wifi?
Make sure nothing is tying down your network. A friend of mine used to have this same problem and it turned out to be Microsoft OneDrive while it was syncing.
Please do a speed test on your connection and share your results here. Speed Test: http://www.speedtest.net/ (http://www.speedtest.net/)

I don't use any mircosoft onedrive programs.
Model of my router: D-link DI-524, I am connected to ethernet
Speedtest results:
Ping 12ms
Download speed 12.82mbps
upload speed 2.01 mbps

Does your game work fast (no lags) 1v1?
Conflict problem is difficult. It's not related to port forwarding (NAT, DMZ). It's also not related to DNS. It's generally not related to software.
The most possible problem is your internet connection provider.
Also, D-link DI-524 is not perfect router (while using default firmware). Is that possible for you to attach internet cable directly to your local computer for test purposes? That could be a good try before changing your provider.

i thought so too, but ive heard of stories... winchester for example got his conflict problem fixed somehow...

When i attach directly without router i don't have Internet connection at all.
-
"when more people joins" ....Please define more...Does the problem happens with 3 people only?
EDIT: I just thought of something which is possible. Disable any firewall, anti malware or any hardware firewall protection you might have...
It might be related to flood protection from your routers protection or something?
-
Quick googling of disabling flood protection in your router:

I can see 2 green bars near every player except hoster. Even when there are 3 people in game it lags. When i play 1v1, it's fine.
I used this laptop and this router before in my previous apartment, only diffrence is internet provider and cable, which has other ending and has to be connected to modem and then to router. I hope u know what i ment . If not i can send picture how it looks.
-
So currently you have a setup that looks like this ?
pc <--> router <--> modem <--> teh interwebz
i have the same setup (my network provider is UPC) and setting port forwarding for warcraft related ports on the router worked (6112 etc i dont remember exactly atm).
here is a guide returned by a quick google search:
portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DI-524/defaultguide.htm

Yes, exactly

When i attach directly without router i don't have Internet connection at all.
Sure, that means your router is configured for an internet connection. You should configure your PC instead router to use internet directly. You should usually follow some instructions given by your provider.
That should exclude router as possibly weak element from your link. I hope that will help.

This would be most ideal. Most modems now are routers with multiple LAN ports. I'm not sure it would fix the problem, but the D-Link router could be turned into a switch by disabling WAN and DHCP. The ethernet cord from the modem will also have to be switched from the "Internet" port to one of the LAN ports.
