I'd say it would be safe to temporary disable your antivirus for the time you start the game...
I'll check and fix the combat for bitdefender false-positive in future version

Why 4.3 is not working, errors or when i could install it it was Europe, asia, west, east. I want to install a version where obs and insight will work. Plwase tell me what version is the best and where can i take it because now i cant download anything from our site.

You need 4.3, it's the best version compatible with everything.
If you see Europe, asia, west, east, that means you joined mousey server most likely. Reinstall combat and make sure the checkbox "rewrite gateways" or "append gateways" is checked.

We made some tests with aqrits' ddraw versions and scaling:

1-st image is war2 windowed mode with your version 154 (based on test2), scaled to 800x600:

2-nd image is war2 windowed mode with aqrit's test4 version scaled to 800x600 (by 3-rd part software as it doesn't support scaling itself).
Interesting thing is it uses such smooth scaling on intel videocards only, but not so smooth on nvidias.

And we can see: test4 support smooth scaling, but your version have some distortions.
is that possible to make your 154 version as beautiful as test4, keeping it based on test2?

Would be great to use such smooth scaling on your ddraw, also being kept compatible with all computers, even with no shader support

Added warvid tray and warvid con.

401 was bad culdnt get tabbed out but since i installed 402 my problem is fixed but cant open the game 402
Glad to see 4.2 became better than 4.01!
Still didn't understand what's wrong with game in 402, try to install 4.3 now.
Lastest version is 4.4, i don't recommend it for multiplayer though, it's for GOG-compatibility most likely, but GOG looks completely dead now...
So, try 4.3

Next question. 2nd time this has happened now. I log on, I log off, and then I go to log back on and all the servers are gone and it's like I just installed War2BNE with East/West/Asia/Euro as my ONLY server choices.

Already reinstalled and it happened again.

Did you join to mousey servers?
Every time you join mousey servers using lastest combat you get these old official servers.
She should update her server lists, i asked her, but she is too busy in real life...

"Thanks" to GOG for their changed gateways list version...

cause people will move peons with less hits, since they dont know they move from gold mine
I'd say chop bars looks even more cheating than health bars:
there was no legal way to know how long time peon chopped his tree except to look at him. And now you can just click and see.
I don't mean that's bad, that's just changes the gameplay a bit.

You already released is though, so, looks like we should add it into all versions to make it be balanced for everybody.
Maybe that is a good time to make some fresh live for war2.
Why not to add something new? Let's do it.

Will add it somewhere to our hosting to upload and share your maps online...

Warvideo is simple utility to record and playback war2-games in it's own format: dk2.
It's pretty simple to use: just start war2, then start warvideo, press "record game", then play your game, then "stop recording" and save your game into a file.
dk2 format has very good compression rate for war2 videos (much less than possible in avi/mkv) and the best quality.
Could be useful for your own replays collection.

Just released new Warvideo version:
- works with old combat ( exe-based) and also with original war2 version.
- works with GOG war2, new combat ( and also original war2 version.
- supports ddraw front buffer. If ddraw supports that front buffer, Warvideo will use it, so, no blinking video anymore.
- no more closing by ESC or Enter (with losing your unsaved video). When you closing Warvideo with unsaved replay, you should confirm you are ready to do that.
- you can just start recording warvideo, then start and restart different versions of war2, video will continue recording, until you press "stop".
- many small fixes related to interface glitches and crashes.
- stats and stats+ work for version only, disabled for

ddraw.dll with front buffer included (similar to FunkyFr3sh/Aqrit-DDraw-Hack
You can replace that ddraw.dll from yours in combat (or GOG war2).

I thought on-screen stat-bars would be ok because its not giving away any new information that the player doesn't already have access to, its just presenting the same info in a more accessable format.
To check unit health you have to click on that unit, then look into it's icon, that requires some more apm to do that.

I remember many moments when almost dead orge killed several peons, but 1 hit from peon would kill that orge. Player just didn't check orge's health.

So i'd consider such stat-bars would be a game modification, not just small improvement. At the same i don't protest against such modification, maybe that will be useful for the game and it's community. Maybe need to ask more experienced players, i'm newb in war2...

So how should this be handled? I'm thinking magic / chopping display should only be for your own units, but life should be visible for any unit in visual range... or should this be handled some other way?

and how about training complete % bars for rax etc? gold left in mines? upgrade progress for smith/mill/foundary/altar etc?

I'd say that would be great to observe mode, but looks like cheat in usual game.

At the same time, maybe there's not a big problem to make such improvements like that? Same as warlatency was a big disputable thing for years. And now it's the part of gameplay.
Maybe we can add such small improvements to war2 gameplay, like ingame timer, such health/magic bars, building/training queues, etc?
