And also I use Insight 1.04 with an autorecord script (thx to IL), and I couldn't watch the whole replay there.
It says "Corrupt replay file" after 2:19. Insight 1.05 RC1 doesn't have this problem.
I don't recommend to use 1.04 anymore, 1.05 is better. Though 1.05 doesn't support autorecord as 1.04 do.
As an idea: 1.04 can't handle warlatency switching, 1.05 can.
Maybe you should manually disable warlatency before starting the replay? Use war2ppatcher for that. Though i don't remember 1.04 says replay is broken when warlat is in wrong state...

Wow! Action tracker is really a great thing!

Not sure its results should be published here though, as that is a tool to detect such macro cheaters.

Publishing such logs can let hackers learn to bypass cheat detection. So i'd prefer to keep it secret.

Also would be interesting to scan the existing database of replays for cheaters, who knows who could be caught that way?..

That's sad to say, but yes, the situation looks like hacker caught.
If your opponent is hacking (or supposedly hacking) that's not a reason to hack yourself. That is a reason to eighter not play to him or to report about hacker.
You could probably notify your opponents about the game played with hacks (as to mention hacks in the game name), that's not welcomed, but that'd looked different than now.

As admin i should give you a warning or 1 day ban or w/e, but that looks like more a joke than something serious.
The main problem is now that looks like you just ruined your reputation, Lambchops.

Now you used some simple macro for some reasons, nvm why.
Who can guarantee next time you won't use a little more tricky macro for some more reasons? Say, with small delay between ogres or w/e?

Also, i'm just going to release new combat in a few days with your plugin system, but how that will look like after things happened?
Not sure what i should do now.

Another problem is what to do with such marco hacks for future.
To make warvideo/war2insight records for each game mandatory? Large drive space required...
To add some automatic checks based on warvid/insight replays? Who will implement that?..
Looks too complicated and will not help for 100% cases...

you can clearly see these 2 rax - and only these 2 rax - glitch together at 2:35, 2:50, 3:20, 3:35, 4:35, 6:55, 7:15, 9:50 and 10:05
To read it where? In insight replay? Not sure if insight will show glitches, i'd say no...
If you can show a video or w/e with detailed explanation and prooves against Claw in your game, maybe that would partially explain your position against him, though that's still not acceptable behavior i think...

join war2, check status: http://server.war2.ru/status/ and make sure you have green HP for your account in the list of users. Then everything is fine for you!

oh i didn't realize. i was using warvid console for months since it was released & it always seemed to work fine. now that it's working again the new videos it's recorded seem fine too, so i'm happy to continue using it

I think the problem with splitting videos can appear after blinking have been fixed...

now war2 starts fine with no delay/crashing/high cpu and only one Warcraft II BNE.exe process :newthumbsup:

Yes, that fixes the problem perfectly for those who is ready to rename system dlls.
Going to add simpler and not so invasive fix in next version. You will need nothing to change in your system to start war2 with no such problems...

the Warcraft II BNE.exe file from the plugin system does break insight though, it gives this error:

Yes, that is another known problem, insight doenst work properly with the plugin system, will be fixed in next version also...

Any chance of an english translation yet?

If you do the basic google-translate thing, I'm happy to fix any grammer/phrasing stuff etc.
Translation is on stage "in plans".
There are 3 parts of translation required as i understand:

1. to replace 100500 small strings in .tbl-files or w/e. Big job for team who knows how the project made and what need to be changed.

2. to translate texts. To make good and beautiful art translation.
We need to keep style of the text some way. Google-translate will keep common sense (after several manual fixes), but we will loose literary translation.
Also need literary editor (to fix bad expressions of speech), proofreader (to fix broken grammar).

That is the problem. One of russians knows english good to make literary translation, but he will be offline till the end of month...

Maybe we can try google-translate and your editing, but not sure about the text quality and similarity...

3. voices for heroes, briefings and videos, also subtitles in videos. Not a priority task at all, should be released after text translation of everything

warvid con is not working fine for me. It cuts video to some random parts.
I updating warvideo and paused work on console and tray versions, i plan to fix them later.

Upd: windows 7?
There's a problem with windows 7 appeared months ago: that broke insight, warvideo and probably other utils:
open the task manager and check the process list:
You can probably see 2 different processes with the same name: Warcraft II BNE.exe
Kill the process that requires less memory and then everything will work fine.

Will be fixed in new combat (4.5)

wargus sucks,we all know it sucks! wyrmsun feels  polished...in the process of rescripting to hopefully get a war2 feel...
Well, why wargus is sucks?
And why wyrmsun isn't?

Also, wyrmsun is yet another RTS uses the same lua-scripting as stratagus? Who will make scripts for wyrmsun to make it look like war2?

Do you have any arguments against wargus and for wyrmsun?

I don't think the main problem is bnet, the main is the gameplay.

can you show the differences? What exactly is better in wyrmsun than in wargus?
I tried wargus, they tried to implement the same mechanics, but it's still strange in some moments, but they implemented all the timings, types of attacks, etc. I'd say a huge job to make wargus similar to war2.
Are you ready to do the same for wyrmsun?

Yes, these 3 things only planned to next combat, to release it quickly.
AH will be the next step (or one of the next steps) as need to rewrite that AH code to make it working effective.

as i understand, that w2p script means the only one who can support this is Lambchops.

I thought about .grp files with buildings to make something like an option on generating the mpq file.

And as i understand, next question is units.
Is there any way to get war3 units instead of war2?

What's the point changing something that makes war2 ... war2
Just for fun, and... diversity. Same as for changing the tilesets to custom or something else.
That should just be an option for those who tired of "usual" war2...

Hm, interesting idea also! Maybe that is good.
At least i think that would be a good idea to allow changing the hotkeys for anybody as he wish. Maybe to use template, as "german hotkeys", and keeping the english strings (or english hotkeys and strings on any language). 2 different left-handed hotkey sets, etc.
And i'd use some kind of utility for that purpose. I know how to make such program, i just have no time for that...

But that's interesting to look how you play missions and don't know objects, lol.

There was an idea to make something different that usual war2. We used custom tilesets. I'm not sure we should do that: these custom textures looks ugly comparing to classic tilesets, but that is what our team decided to do.

orc missions are easier than humans

Ops, sorry, i'd have to explain that in the 1-st post:
"orc campaign" is lite, "human campaign" is standard. They are most likely similar, the only difference is difficulty level.

Let me know if you are interested in translating the campaign into english.

Campaign have been developed by a russian team, about 7 people (some other took small part in process).
The main idea and project leader: Oragorn.
Some other helped with graphics, art, voices, coding, etc.

So, would be quite easy to translate texts into english, the problem is good english language for campaign.
But need to ask Oragorn about to translate the camaign into english, though he has such plans for future...
