Win, chill the fuck out.

Your being muted had nothing to do with either your or EQ's prior actions. Blid was attempting to mediate a flame war in progress that had been apparently dragging on for a long period of time. EQ created posts, you replied to them, therefore blid gave instructions for EQ to stop creating posts and you to stop replying to them. EQ obeyed, you did not, ergo you received a punishment.

Yes, there was no precedent for it, but shit was getting out of control and we had to start somewhere, and now we have clear guidelines. Yes, seven days was harsh, but we revised it to two and have established that as the standard penalty for ignoring mods/deliberately trying to stir things up. blid's actions regarding this matter have not been in any way biased either for or against you or EQ, in any way that I have seen.

Either way, it's over, so stop harping about it and making our jobs more difficult. Admins & mods are volunteers, freely giving our time to try and keep this shithole lovely home for Warcraft 2 comraderie running smoothly. It's exactly this kind of maniacal rage over insignificant issues that's tearing this place apart.

Re porn, it's a tricky issue. Rules state: "Porno links, pictures, videos onpage should cause muting" which we're currently intepreting as unlabeled links and images/videos directly embedded into a thread. A image/vid embedded in a labeled spoiler is the same difference as a labeled link, in that you know exactly what the content is and only have to view it if you knowingly choose to click through. IMO that's sufficient. Porn is a fact of life that you're going to deal with if you use the Internet, and you're going to see more potentially unwanted porn in ten seconds trying to download a torrent than you will browsing this forum for four days. If people want to revise this standard to disallow all porn content/links/references period, that's cool, raise the issue in forum affairs and we can take a vote or something.

Closing this thread; like blid said, there are more appropriate places to air any lingering grievances if necessary. Let's everybody just calm down now.
