Make Remaster balance another option separate, do not replace community balance(with community input). IMO.

windows 11 security had blocked/deleted the HD version or war2.exe on me a while ago. Check that out. Add to exceptions list.

I like the player name / colors on the bottom left. Don't know how I feel about the larger in game minimap.... cool if it was an option though.

The units don't see more. Fog of war and field of vision per unit are still the same. The total viewable area on screen is more. The main post is the best reference for more info regarding this topic. Look at the pictures posted via

Your monitor and personally preference would depict what works best for you. Most play on setting 3 (960x544) or 4 (1280x704). I posted my personal opinions on page 8. Take a read through the whole post. Some good discussion and info throughout the whole topic.

« on: April 10, 2023, 04:05:22 PM »a new option for 16:9 might be 1024x576 (true 16:9), for 4:3 you also have 896x672 (true 4:3), though of course it's personal perference.Hey Buttercraft. Thanks for this suggestion. Tried it a little. Good balance between 960x544 and 1280x704. Found 1280x704 to make the units 2 small for my preference. And 960x544 was a good option to make it easier to transition play between REG and HD.
One thing to note with 1024x576, there is a VERY tiny black gap at the bottom corners of the brown middle UI. May bother some, not critical IMO.
Thank you all involved making the HD mode and the smoothscroll plugin. Keep striving on with the great innovations!
