You should make different data ports for 2 your computers with different DataPorts. Also you have to write 2 different forwarding rules for each computer.
Default DataPort is 6112. You can use it on 1 of computers.
You should write different on the 2-nd and type in the registry:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Battle.net\Configuration]
"Game Data Port"=your_different_port

If you need the C code to do an ipignore then just say so,  it's like a 10-15 line addition (minus the code to actually make the /ipignore command).  All it needs to do is lookup the IP of the user in the /ipignore command and ignore all msgs from that IP.  Again,  I see this as a technical issue,  not a "rules" issue.  Rule's should not be created to hide technical in-abilities.  Do you need help with coding things?  It's not beyond my own abilities and I could certainly send you the required code modifications to create such a command.  I'd also be willing to give you the PHP hook that I created so that you dont even need to use C/C++ or reboot the server everytime you make a new command.  You could code in PHP instead which maybe you understand better than C/C++.

Lance, i'ts the first time you offered some real help, i appreciate it.
About /ipignore - i'm not sure it will be useful for people, it looks better than /ignore, but do they need another command? Not sure... Looks for me as more organizational than technical question now.

PHP hooks idea is great, but i'm not ready to implement it now. I'm going to upgrade to another pvpgn branch with different solution.
I'll keep im mind your offer when i be ready to make something really useful...

nevertheless, I think the general direction of moderation should be plain and clear so there's not much room for abuse.

My opinion was that the general direction should make people feel pleasant while conversations and spend their time.
I never thought porno, religious, racial, sexual intolerance, insulting, offensive language and defaming could be pleasant.
But people voted for that. I'm not ready to understand what should i do in that case. I need to think.

Tk, blid and burnt are all for freedom and against any kind of moderation generally, player too.
Lightbringer- goes to be gone.

I'm not sure i need to care of the hitlerism policy: people didn't accept it, they tried it for half a year and prefer freedom. So, why should i waste my time and forces for something bad for community?
I don't see clear hitlerism policy: just don't insult people, don't call them words. We can forgive you if you do that accidentally under emotions: after loss or w/e, but we don't if you do it to insult someone just for fun, like an equinox against lightbringer. Easy fo say, not possible to formalize.
And anyways, people disliked all the rules.

My opinion is irrelevant here and the others voted for absolute freedom unconsciously IMO, sensitive faglers may stick around and flamers will behave eventaully, you shouldn't pay any attention to equinox case, he went nuts and literally wanted to be banned.

The community wishes depend on lost irrelevant opinions, and they are all for cancel any rules. What do you mean about unconsciously votes for absolute freedom?
Should "freedom" be changed to something like "no rules" and vote results should be different? People just see "freedom" and select it?

This part i do not understand. Are you giving up on the hilerism rules? Or you just don't want to enforce them yourself? Don't leave us hanging and don't leave the mess behind. Rules are supposed to be clear and simple!

I stop my involvement to the server moderation and giving it to other admins, (generally blid, as soon as Lightbringer feels gone, tk - i don't know is gone or returned back).

Let them do what they want with that hitlerism rules: to apply or remove or rewrite or just ignore them. Let them do what they want with banned or not banned people.
I will not ban or unban anybody or change any rules, because i messed more than anyone else. I can't do anything in such state.

Dude, i told you that you can't please everyone. I'd rather have you around and being active with relatively strict censorship policy than an abandoned server without any kind of management at all.

What should i moderate in the world of total freedom?

I don't plan to abandon the server, just the community. I have lots ideas about upgrading pvpgn, making several useful bots, site integration and many other ideas.
I just stopped my moderation and continue the tech research.

Equinox is banned to 7 days for these rules:
5. Acts of religious, racial, sexual and other intolerance and/or discrimination
6. To offend the dignity of others by using swear words, put-downs, and other statements against them, in any language
8. Framing, intentional defaming or baseless accusations against server users

I'm getting pause in my moderation job for a while since this moment.
I have to relax and think about current situation before continue my moderation job.

Other moderators should do everything they want with continuing banning or lifting bans or go away, or gather more moderators.
I don't care on that anymore.
I'll help them or everyone they tell in technical part.

I have never supported the speech rules and never would.  Why?  Because /ignore exists for a reason.  You dont ban someone just because the other player is to F'ing lazy to type /ignore whoever.  The only thing that would make this a bannable offense is if these messages were getting through even after a player has done /ignore.  Since that's not possible,  it should also not be possible to ban them.

Just my private opinion why we can't just let people insult others, and let that others use /ignore and relax.

1. Firstly you should use /ignore each time you join the server. Also, you should use /ignore for each aka insults you. He can easily rejoin created another account with long unwritable name while you are ingame and continue.
Maybe there should be another command, like /ipignore. Or even /iprange_ignore_perm.
Just /ignore is almost helpless. There's also no command like /ipmute.
The nearest existing command to use in such situations is /ipban, that's why it's the easiest way to use against people understand nothing.

2. Not sure if you like to use /ignore and know he insults you, called nigger/muslim/cheater or anything else in public chat, others will read that and think if it's right or not. Maybe you prefer to not ignore him and try to clear yourself of a charge. That will confuse you, waste your time and positive spirit and let you go away.

At hte same time your insulter could be well-known as liar, who tries to offend you just for fun or w/e.

That's why my idea was to prohibit and that unfriendly shit.
That's just for your discussion, i'm thinking about my need to impose anything to the community. Each community should have admins they deserved.

If he is spamming with friends list add/remove, then that is different.  But again, you dont ban the player, you fix the problem which is a broken system command.  There really shouldnt be any ban reasons based on speech alone.

Agreed about fixing in.
But, while it's not being fixed, that sould be punished also.
Same logic as for hacking: You can fix the hacking problem my making the antihack, so why to ban for hacking until antihack is not ready? But we agree (i hope so) to let people banned for hacking, what about /f?

I think if we used this mentality on other players,  half the good players would be banned.  Case in point,  Paperboy, Shotgun, Swift etc.  These players (and there is a long list of them) will insult anyone for really no reason at all.  Especially if they are losing in a game, f-up, and then blame their allies for being this or that, etc etc.  It sounds to me like this is what martin18 does.  The difference?  He's a nobody and possibly seen as expendable.

I dislike what Paperboy, Swift says to others sometimes, but at least they have understandable reason (no ideas about Shotgun, i never see him insulted anybody). You can be a reason to loss as their pard or w/e. Not sure about insulting their enemies.

Martin18 is different situation. First my contact with him happend when i setup my gamebot. Then he tried to insult the bot for exiting the game. I tried to explain him that it's just a bot. He became to insult me, i have been wondered and begin to ask what's happened.
As i understood through the stream of trash, is he thought i stole his account, i was not able to find out which exactly aka did he mean.
I certified him that was not me, said goodbye and left the server.
Next day i got insulted by him for about half an hour with the reason i can't find out his reasons till now. I asked him, but didn't get anything except the stream of insulting. I didn't answer him anything offensive, just asked him to find out the reason.

I took it easy, i don't care when somebody insults me. But i begin to check the server logs and saw about 30 different aka from his ip and same insulting to other 2-3 people with no reasons. At least i didn't find any reasons following the logs backward.

The difference is Paperboy or Swift will insult you at least if you let them loss, they will explain you their position if you ask.
He didn't. He can charge everybody with everything, but he never gives you any approvements.

It's truth that it's much more difficult for me to ban "important" player, i'd prefer to talk to him, but i don't stand when he feels impunity, talking that he is irreplacable and will insult enybody he want, despite anything.
I should say that i accept Equinox ban for Lightbringer's offence. I think you should not insult any other player, even admin, even if you are a good player from the community core.

His own poll got 3 votes for "Prohibit defaming and baseless accusations".  Which I think martin18 would probably fall under.  One of which we know is iL's own vote.

I actually voted for "I don't care" option. I'm reconsidering my points and i don't think i should interfere in the communities opinions.
Just a note, of course, that doesn't matter.

Ban based on game merit (not sending SS's, etc),  not what the person says.  Force him to stream all his games.

I agree with that, sould be very good feature, just how to "force" him/them? I mean all the SS refusers. They can do it themselves only if they want.

Several (about 30 of them) could belong to BHC-MASTER and slacher. Others - to him.
He has been banned by request of repeated SS refusing in summer.

He also had a habit to call different players any bad names he knows.
Today he can do it agaisnt you, in public chat or using /w.
Tomorrow he does the same against another player.

I actually didn't understand any logic and reason for that language attacks. He mostly dislikes russians. Russain language it reason to cause that. But any other player could be also a good target to attack. He usually uses different accounts for that insulting attacks. Check that his account list: maybe you can remember any occasion with him also.

Another feature of this guy: he is sure many others are hacking. He told about 10-15 account who is obviously hacking. But i still didn't got any proves or at least explanations of what kind of hack do they use and how.

So, honestly, i dislike his guy and was glad to permban him when he refused SS repeatedly.

Then after the time i contacted with 2 his brothers: slacher and BHC-MASTER to discuss the opportunity to unban him. They promised to talk to him to stop that trash against other random people.
I unbanned all of them and then got the same insults to several random people. Then i banned him again, keeping their brothers unbanned.

1-2 month later he contacted to me represented himself as another his brother. He has been unbanned after explanation about the Rules and about to be respectable to others. I hoped he will stop that. Several days ago i got a complaint from several players about being insulted for nothing. I banned him again.

About a week or several weeks later Lightbringer- got request from him to let him unbanned because he understood everything and promise to never repeat that. I didn't trust martim18 anymore, but let Lightbringer- give chance to him again. That was 3-rd amnesty try after PERM ban.
In several days i got the request about offence against EviL~Ryu.
I was a little busy that day, so joined with an order to ban martin18 again for tomorrow evening. Then i saw him insulting old russian player Leo and continue insulting EviL~Ryu at the same time. Then i banned him.

My own relation to martin18: he lies everytime he can, he uses any chance to insult people who did nothing to him, for slander, threat or w/e else he can feign.
When he is sure he is too smart and could not be punushed, he is being rude.
When you catch him, he becomes to feign an excuse like another brother, son or any other member of family, or to use baseless accusations of you or others (like players he played with), or trying to play a trick on you. Of course, he explain that Leo insulted him firstly, he will feign 1000 defferent reasons why he insulted other players before, but i'd never find any chat logs to approve that.

So, the ban reason de jure is repeated SS-refusing. De fatco it's much more than just that. I'd really dislike this guy to return to our community.

Now he tries to make us fools spamming the forum by 2 accounts: martin18. (with russian player photo as avatar) and BHC-MASTER.
Not sure about BHC-BOY-ICE: probably his account too, but not 100%, need to check

The other thing are large, obnoxious pictures, offtopic garbage (hi smurfking) and links leading to uncloseable stuff or viruses - i'd mod that too, but it's not an issue of pure 'freedom' i suppose, freedom is only one of the factors

Well, at this point unification is more important to me than w/e the policy's gonna be.

Here's another problem: people playing on the server are quite different than people writing on the forum. But who cares? People has been announced about the forum, so w/e? Ok, let me think about that.

I know I am probably way more liberal than the next person, which is why the amount of 'absolute freedom' votes is suprising to me.

That effect could be reached by wrong formulation.
Interesting thing is i could use different words with the same sence while posting the poll, and they'd vote absolutely different.

But i don't care anymore. People have to make choice themselves. Let them insult themselves, call niggers or what they want if that makes them happy.

i do disagree with all of the banning.

im not a fan of il~'s new rules, i said that from the beginning.

im not saying anything bad about light or il, i just dont think adding more reasons to ban people is the right direction for the server to take right now .... i have never once tried to hide that... i am very much against banning people in general ... and when people do "deserve" to be banned i am very much against giving "LONG" bans. I am very much against "PERM" bans.

As i wrote in the occult forum just before it does down, i'm not the main admin, i'm not the owner of community.
I just follow the majority (in this case, majority of admins).
Being admin, you have the same rights to ban and unban people than me. The problem is even 4 admins have different opinions for most questions.

You asked me what i do about unbanning everyone, i answered that'd prefer to don't do it.
I already tried that, just after moved server from Lance. I reconfigured new bnet-server and just removed long list of unknown ip-addresses with banned people.
We got long-time-played negative with step-by-step restoration that list by user requests. I didn't like that and prefer not to repeat. Of course i could be wrong and situation could be changed now.
And that's just my opinion.

You can do everything you think would be right being admin.

Kith-Kanin was actually banning people for racism when he was logging in occult and not blocked occult emails.

Yes I remember Kith banning either $paCe, Claw or Terror kahn for calling him a nigger jew one time on the forums and said that he doesn't care that if you insult him, just don't be racist about it.

Being called a nigger is definetely a HUGE deal in the US as being called jew or sand nigger or whatever. It was being banned in occult when kith was active. It should continue to be so.
Calling someone a retard, asshole, newb, whatever was not dealt with on occult. So, if you really want to have an occult experience with minimum moderation, racism is what you should ban and porn links. It was pretty liberal though besides the 2 issues I mentioned.
