Man there is a lot of stories in this server I gotta find and make a YT video about the history of this server its quite intriguing.

It is VERY desirable to understand the topics before this. Just so you don't accidentally lie. And the history of both the server and the community is really very complex.

Yeah I try not to come to conclusions very fast knowing previously  ( not in this site) I made some conclusions and results were disastrous ,  I can see there is a lot of history in this site never expected such deep lore from warcraft 2 community didn't even know there was people playing this game and still active online.

If we speak Russian in the presence of an English speaker, it means we are communicating about something of our own, and among ourselves. Do you get irritated by incomprehensible symbols? Well, I get irritated, for example, by the Latin alphabet. But I'm not crying about it.

No why I should be mad cause someone else speak in diffrent language

o? Why is nox mad then?  , im genuinely curious about this claims and hatred towards U8 like dude was mugging people on streets or what? Why would some guys be so passionate about proving this guy hacks ? Cause he is bored, he got +35 years? never had job, what can you do whole time? he is happy that someone answer his post, you can check at old forum his behavior

In 2016 when I had break he attacked diffrent people, some of them left cause they dont want argue again again and again
He had? cancer, now he is cancer for normal people who want play w2, guy were spaming me till fois made plugin, he was very mad cause finally I dont see his messages
He cant understand that he can be wrong and when you say he is not top he will give some shit, that he won 15 years ago games vs you and now he doesnt want play, so its logic he is still better than you right?
In normal community he should be banned long time ago, due his behavior

Wow that's....something  +35 and no responsibilities? Would learn programming and deconstruct this game maybe even rewrite it from scratch.

Now it depends where hotkeys are in warcraft 2 are they accessible to the general public? How accessible it is? At this point if everybody can edit hotkeys is it hacking anymore?  I don't think so

A program for editing hotkeys in the game has been available for a long time now. It was made by a lesnik.

I dont think so bro, as someone who has wait for anti hack for years, i was always watching it, and i have never see any false report the time it was there, because actually, everyone who was using anti hack had the anti hack tag, the peoples who could use hacks, where basicly using the old client and was flag as NONE, and the peoples who was caught with unknow report value was flag was unknow, tell me now, what is an unknow report value?!

I don't know what you think or don't think. I know first-hand - from Il himself. That the antihack is still not perfect and errors can happen with it, Il told me about it. I also know that Il is trying to finish it.
What is an unknown report - ask Il better. Just ask politely and without attacking, otherwise he won't even read you.

So how did you guys made the 2 ogers mode? How did you guys made the rebalance mode? If you guys did these change, you guys clearly have the source code or a way to play with it.
MPQ file may not be directly the source code it self, but its still important data that should not be edited by peoples without autorization, people who work for the server themself.

Now this, comrade Equinox, is a closely guarded secret. Only our most senior developers know this. And I won't answer you about it, because I don't have permission to do so. Frankly, I don't really want to tell you about it. Because it's your style to invent such fairy tales that it would be better to keep it a secret than for us to tell you how our mods work.
But I can assure you: MPQ-files are not used. And also that there is no source code.

I dont say russian cant speak russian at all, but its true that russian or polaks have tendancy to do it pretty often at a point where i think peoples can start to feel exclude. Does you have to stop speaking russian because i feel exclude, not at all, you can keep doing it as much as you want, but dont be surprise if peoples can feel that way. And you are right, its not only russian who does it, polaks do this alot too.

We understand the problem. But there's nothing we can do about it. Our people won't learn to speak English better. And I won't make any effort to learn to speak English better. I've voiced the reasons, and I have enough problems in life without English At the most basic level, I'll write something on occasion, of course, but nothing more.

We've always been more closed in general. I think that this is in some way a legacy of the "Iron Curtain". It's pretty hard to do anything about it.

Does this speak of your loyalty to the server? Does this speak of your commitment to our community? Does this speak of your respect for us, not just as Russians, but also as admins? Although I was more offended by your disrespect for Il and Edo, whom I know personally.

It was after these words of yours that my patience ran out and I simply recognized you as inadequate. Have you changed? Big question.

Then it would be more correct to say (and we use this term) "Russian-speaking players". For example, Ragner is from Ukraine, but speaks Russian perfectly (which is not surprising, since it is a former part of the USSR).

Stop posting this photo, it doesn't prove anything. Antihack is not perfect and it has errors. Player U8 was tested for cheats at one time. The results showed that U8 did not use cheats.

The source code of the game does not exist. Only Blizzard has it. Stop talking complete nonsense. MPQ-files are not source code.

So this is what you think about me? You think im racist and i hate russian? Because i already said these kind of stuff too.. I also think that russian on this server have tendancy to be close inside their own circle, you said its because they dont speak english, but its not true at all, some of them talk pretty good english or maybe bad, but they still can speak it, but sometime, they just start to speak russian like no else in the game or the channel was there.. I also dont understand why this server has been call War2 *RU* like if war2 belong to russian... You know why i have never join war2 USA, because i dont think it belong to american either and i dint want to particpate in a server where it look like its russia vs usa, i was here since the biginning, i stayed here period, not because it was russia or usa.. War2 belong to the world... War 2 belong to everyone... And naming this server war2ru just close door to every other nations of the world because they can taught its exclusive to russian peoples.. Do you really think i hate russia or russian peoples?? I actually love russia and russians peoples, and if im mad at russian on this server sometime, its exactly because i feel excluded.

I dont cares about this guy because he became out of no where and speak alot while no one know who he is, but i think hes actully right on something, and i dont say RUSSIA or russian peoples are like this, but clearly russian from this server have tendacy to make me feel excluded since alot of years.

The only russian with who i can have decent discussion sometime are Ragner, Extasey, ArMilitar and Hurt i would say, maybe spb, even if he dont speak at all, but in general the others, they dont speak to me at all if its not to insult me.

And before im done, i want to add something, it's not because i dont agree with the name of this server and i think some russians live in their own circle, that i am not gratefull, if it was not of the russians, there will probably be no war2 community at all anymore, i will always appreciate what the russians did for warcraft II, we may desagree on alot of things, but not on this one, i will never desagree, take my words as the honnest person i am and always have been.

Thank God there are no problems with racism in Russia. That's why it's quite unusual for me to see that almost the biggest accusation against a person is that he is a racist.

Of course, we have those who know English well. And many players play with the rest of the world quite normally. I myself, not knowing English well, used to play quite a lot among English speakers.

And why don't people have the right to speak their own language on the server? I've seen U8 communicate in Polish many times, like the Spanish in Spanish. I once communicated with Cel in French... Why do you think that everyone on the server HAS to write in English? I don't think so. This is a world server. You can even write in Japanese.

The server was renamed to warcraft2.online a few years ago. Your claims are groundless. The old name is still preserved. But I'm sorry - it happened historically. I'm not complaining to you that English has become the world language, am I? And don't complain that you play on a RU server. I think there's no point in discussing these things at all.

The name doesn't affect "open or closed doors" for other countries.

You can always register in our social networks and communicate with us if you need to. As some English speakers have already done.

Man I gotta stop reading your comments nox they remind of those conspiracy theorists I used to hang out with in discord huuh how times changed....anyway what sort of hacking is this? Yeah I know you can replace models my friend said he used it in MP once in wc3 to make readability very easy like changing grunts to question marks or something silly so you instantly recognize it.

But for data? Well what data? If you ever modded MPQ you would know game crashes if unit data is messed with like stats say I made footmen have 520 health compared to original 420 yeah game crashes otherwise you would see people running around with blademasters with 400 agility XD.

But for warcraft 2 since it uses MPQ same must be applied to it yes you can edit visuals , maybe colors (haven't tried this personally so im taking nox claim as true) and if I'm not mistaken even audio (be funny if somebody replace death sounds with moans).

For hotkeys I dunno man I mean looking at other games hotkeys can be edited from inside the game or outside depending on game , games like age of mythology can be edited to have players construct certain chunks of walls this chunk is regularly not available normally , others use some UI plugins that allow you to see certain stats UI usually doesn't have.

Ok I think you are misunderstanding something I said "not all russians are like this" and yes of course I will make conclusions based on my experiences thats what we humans usually do.

What happens? That the "general coloring", the characteristic of the people becomes such that they are almost all cannibals. Thus, by spreading this phrase, I will be telling the world exactly that they are cannibals. Will this be considered fair to them?

Well that's why I said "not all of them"  , thus based on my "experience"  the majority of russians  I met were like that does this make sense now? Some people may agree cuz they also didn't have very good time around russians other will disagree and say "you just were around few bad apples" which is a fine statement since you can't possibly run into every russian gamer out there , maybe you are right about the nature of the game effecting the player base this was on my mind the other day about cultures effecting how people behave online and how their environment effects their actions online.

Well does it really matter in this context if russians are a nation or not since I meant the russian gamers.

Usually it's because many Russians don't know English, which is considered the world language. So it's much harder to build communication with people from other countries. And this is in no way a sign of "toxicity". Imagine if the world language was... say, Chinese. I suppose many English-speaking guys would also find it much harder to communicate with the world that "all speaks Chinese". I can also assume that in this case they would unite around the same English-speaking groups. And that's normal.

You do understand that this game can be played by two people, right?..

For example, the English are "considered" to be rather prim and arrogant people. However, I have met Choppy in games. This old guy has always been kind to other players, was always positive and I have never seen him arrogant. I have never seen him put himself above anyone else.

The Spanish are considered to be very religious people. But I know several atheists.
The French are very loving, they love wine.
The Germans are precise, calculating and have a military bearing, they love beer.
The Russians are lazy and love vodka. I may be lazy, but I am an absolute teetotaler.
The Jews love money...

You can approach it from another angle:

Who proved it? Who proved it "all over the world"? Was there some certified research on this topic? Which was then recognized all over the world? What are you talking about?

Ok I'm gonna be fair and give the benefit of the doubt that not all russians are like this which is true not all of them.

I tried to get into DOTA wanting to experience the legendary map by myself each time I would join a DOTA game I would get kicked for one reason or another

This is how convos would go "u have map?" I get asked I answer "no" instead of handing me a link its instant kick.

Case 2: " u know how to play?" Im honest so I answer "no" (keep in mind I want to genuinely play and not troll) answer? KICK.

Heck sometimes I would get kicked for no reason at all.

But how do you know they are russian panda? You may ask , and the answer is they speak russian when im in lobby , and I usually check where are the players from DOTA players are mostly russians or Mongols.

So with such bad attitude towards a new player how would I learn how to play if every freaking lobby kicks me? But you can say "but panda toxicity isn't exclusive for russians" and yeah that's true I played with russians who weren't hostile or close minded to noobs which is why I stated not all are like this.

Oh and I tried to play Counter strike in a russian server , they kept voice chatting and their voices are more loud than the weapons themselves (if you played counter strike you would know nothing is more loud than the ak47  sound).

So yes there is a toxic attitude coming from russian players , I found serbians to be more nice infact my best times are with serbian friends  why are some serbs so nice? Scandinavians for example are always open minded and very wholesome people , Americans can be shakey but overall ok , latinos well I better reserve my thoughts on them because im so fed up with them , south east Asians are also ok.

Its a trait that has been associated with russian players it doesn't apply to all but from my experience a majority wasn't very nice people to play with.

I know you are russian and so far I seen no negative attitude coming from you , my prescriptive isn't stuck in its place and it can change based on experience.

If we want it to be as manly as possible send both to ukraine in an open empty field hand both snipers and let a sniper duel happen.

Or if we want to be as accurate to the game as possible dress one in plate armor and a sword , the other gets steroids and a workout plan to resemble an orc then paint him green give him some half assed armor a horned Mongolian helmet and an axe and settle it again in Ukraine.

Or just take the least expensive way and listen to shotgun why would you name yourself shotgun tho? Don't you fear being taken away by government for being a illegal weapon?

Without russia , the assad regime is coming to and end few hours ago my birthplace the city of homs fell into the rebels hands things are happening so fast....to think this war forever changed who im and who I know will stay forever , I wonder if there is hope to go back to homs with people who speak like me not in a rural dialect an actual urban dialect.

I got friends with their parent in jail hope his father is still alive.

Many people died including relatives of mine , one I remember is the humus shop owner If memory serves I cried when I was told he died , well we will see what happens in the future I hope its bright.

When and why did you leave the country? You left because of the war?

Nearly after 50 years of the ba'ath party rule in syria the assad regime came to an end , such a way to start the day , who would have thought? The whole country is shouting victory slogans , my allah have mercy on those who didn't get to live to see this day come true.

Is it now any better though? These guys are former al-Qaida and ISIS, aren't they?
They will probably install the next dictatorship now. Will you now return home? Even if such guys are in charge?

Left the country in 2012 in march if I remember right before things went crazy or too crazy.


We will see what happens if its better or worse that will take sometime to decide , my advice is not to ruin the joy of getting rid of the regime for any syrian out there.

Either add it all or nothing , as I said separate version call it "golden combat edition" or something warcraft 2 with rally points , unit queue is peak warcraft LOL , hey we still need to fix that trash pathfinding any hopes for that? Oh and how long does this "mist turn red" campaign took to make? Year ? Never knew warcraft 2 was a subject to custom campaigns since it barely has any narrative tools , can u even add voice lines or dialogue during missions? Be a good improvement.

yes of course is possible now.

Ed told me on private that is even possible to add "pause" for your playthrough while you can hear a cutscene with dialogue(s), such as Starcraft 1 is.

I can fix this stuff about unit pathing to an extent with rally points and other AI instructions, but haven't pulled that off just yet in mods.

You can check for example, one of my mods called Trolls revolution in missions 2 and 3 where computers attack different locations from player:

There's another feature within these mods and the ones from Ed, including this one that also fixes some of the original AI behavior like getting stucked around townhalls or in shorelines trying to reach transports.

There's still space to work with, though.

I would give proper feedback once I get to try the content myself  , but yeah nice work trying to solve the issues with pathfinding.

You can check out our campaign: "Alaunter, Stonia - Gedsun Expedition". There is everything you are talking about there in sufficient quantity.

Most new technologies are researched and tested during the development of custom campaigns.
This particular campaign took almost 3 months to create.

"Garbage pathfinding" is currently not fixed. However, during the development of campaigns, we have corrected and adjusted a lot, and we consider this a very big breakthrough. And we will continue to work on it.

Nice work , looks like there is plenty of content to play in warcraft 2 gonna be a fun ride for sure

Keep up the work!! The better the pathfinding the more enjoyable the game nothing more annoying than the troops stuck because they can't tell whether the thing in front of them is an obstacle or a road , making pathfinding better is the way to go and I don't think anybody would complain man if we could only get the source code...
