there's not a whole lot of bad shit an admin can do that's not easily fixed unless you give them access to the DB

i guess we were hoping something would be done within a month or two of when the concern was brought up.. not 6-8 months. putting new active admins on the roster is literally one of the easiest things to do

Really, I want the same thing Burnt did, which is getting rid of the toxic aura created by posts like the ones I quoted, which is the kind of stuff that drags volunteers' interest down, but I'm giving you a fair chance by warning you first instead of just banning you out of nowhere.
i dont think anyone enjoys a toxic atmosphere.. but i think the main reason it exists is because "helpful criticism" was offered and then went basically ignored
at least thats how i feel the toxic atmosphere was created
the community needs active admins who are genuinely interested in serving the community, not serving their own ego or desire to simply have "power"
i personally feel like that request/complaint has gone completely unanswered

forum has 10 active users tops. it's like constantly re-arranging these books after your kids play with them because they look COMPLETELY unorganized to you.
it literally looks like a control freak/OCD every time the topics get split/moved... the only person who really understands what is going on is the person who split them

once i get involved in a thread whether im the one who made it, am just posting in someone else's thread, or just reading it without participating i like it to be where it is like it is... once it gets all scrambled and tore apart and put in different places its like "ok well someone just killed this thread completely.."

just my two cents... I like burnt as a person and he has done a lot for the community.. but in the last couple years he is active less than 5% of the time. He shows up for a couple days then is gone for a few weeks or months only to return for a couple more days before he disappears again.
It's a bad situation where someone like that (which has pretty much been the pattern of all admins in the last few years with the exception of me and lightbringer .. i hear blid is more active now?) is given the ability to silence voices he does not want to hear..
I understand ryu, ganz, lance, me, and others dont have a lot of positive things to say about the current leadership, but it's not just because we like being "debbie downers". We all genuinely want to see the server do better. We all genuinely want to see better leadership, active admins, better support for the community.
