Mods & Development / Re: Plugin package
« on: August 27, 2024, 05:14:24 AM »
All plugins have been rebuilt to lower the hardware requirements (they should all work now on a i486 CPU)

MMBlack
- Fixed a bug in the Black2Pink patch detection

HardwareCursor
- fixed hardware cursor auto resize on newer cnc-ddraw versions
- Can now hide the cursor the same way the original game did (e.g. on mission briefing or cutscenes)
- Removed animated cursors

lobby_map [NEW]
Made by lambchops, updated by me and zelya

- Fixed a bug/crash that could disable the map preview image
- Added new .ini setting to set custom coordinates for the map preview image
- Added new .ini setting to set custom colors/palette entries
- Does now detect the HardwareCursor plugin and disables the fake cursor that is drawn on top of the map preview image

@Alex1891 You can use any plugin you want with the widescreen patch, but you have to get the lambchops plugin loader AKA "LC.DLL". You can find it in the first post inside of the "lobby_map.zip"

Or here the direct link to the file:

I'll add support for the saveloadFixByMistral on next update though, that way it will work without lc.dll as well

Ah, that'S strange. Normally such permissions errors only happen when you copy the .app around. That's why it was wrapped in a  .pkg file to avoid such problems

4
Installed the latest macOS version of the game. The game doesn't start. Nothing is happening when I launch it.

What version of macOS do you have? You need at least Catalina (10.15) for it to work

Mods & Development / Re: Updated lobby_map plugin

I'll have to test it, in-game on our server it does look different now. There are like 4-5 different layouts, not sure if it's possible to have it working with all of them

Server.War2.ru / Re: am i banned?

first 2 entries are https://warcraft2.online/ (this is blocked by comcast)

last 2 entries are en.war2.ru (this is blocked in some countries like ukraine because of the war)

Both point to the same servers, they're just different domains

Is your internet provider comcast? They've blocked the new domain, so the first two entries will not work anymore. But the "... Mirror" and "... B/Mirr" should still work

Just to make it clear, it does happen while scrolling towards the right and the bottom? But not when scrolling to the top or left?

Are you maybe running the game in a virtual machine? All virtual machines I've tested had the same issue.

Can you do a test? When it happens, press CTRL+TAB to unlock your cursor from the game and then just click once to lock it again. Does that fix the problem?

Very nice mockup! Not sure yet if like it, it's a bit over the top TBH... I guess it would look better on a higher resolution like 1920x1080 but for 1280x704 it's just too big?

Player names are cool, should be easy to patch in. I'll give it a try soon

Thanks @fois!

Great work :)

I edited my own chat background, thought the one included was a bit too pixelated and dark. I attach it if anyone playing with 1280x704.

Nice! Here's also the original artwork https://pixeldrain.com/u/UJcGWBzy
Maybe that helps in case you want to play around with it some more

Would be nice if you had a bigger mini map at higher resolutions. I can help with the graphics if it is something you want to develop, fois. It would be a great improvement, because the mini map is a bit too small on high resolutions.
I can also make the lobby graphics for wide screen if you need.

Anyways thanks :)

That's probably going to be a lot of work, I guess we would have to switch the minimap from 128x128 to 256x256 to make that happen... But that would mean the entire sidebar has to be redone (would probably take weeks to complete!)
