This is a first sketch and test in AI capabilities on improving the very low sprites resolution of the game 


Doing a bit of test for fun, I'll be posting more if I do some

Hahah, Im bad with reverse engineering and I dont have that time right now, it could be even easier to make a complete remake for me. And in any case, even with the AI doing the artistic rework, for an eventual release, I would possibly think on hiring someone to finish the artistic touch-ups

I think that would be possible to do something with that improved sprites!

Probably could be very usefull to do the same for warcraft 1 sprites. We have a WinWar project, the whole 100% compatible code of warcraft: Orcs & Humans:

Could be great to make it Full HD. Though Zelya said about ugly upscale. But if you will be able to make it beautiful, maybe he will be glad to increase the resolution.
As i remember, the main problem was related to no one who can make good sprites.
Maybe you can try to do something? Though Zelya is not so active here now...

If making wc2 sprites higher res is a pain, I can't imagine wc1 ones :sweat:. It's like damn hard to get the AI to understand what they are, right now I'm having trouble with the human knights, even the first sprite I chose.
