Just maked game timer on server
press F6 in game to open settings menu
you can change:
1) position of timer (or disable it)
2) color
3) type of timer
a) slow ticks (divided by 100)
b) real ticks (first 2 number goes very fast though)
c) seconds (game ticks are being converted to seconds)
my plans for future:
1) make APM counter too
2) something else but now i dnt know wat
3) something that YOU (yes you!) advised me to make. (so i wating for your opinions)

I liked the timer. Not sure why use ticks but is good that can be simple changed to seconds.
The only problem was that I see I died before 2 minutes of game, how this is possible? ,Rushers!

I cant disable my f5-f8 works same, going to options menu

updated
1) timer now disabled by default (use menu to enable)
2) specialy for u8 maked that menu opens not only with F6, but also with little button left from gold icon (and right from pause button).
3) timer settings saved into file. So you can setup only one time and they will be same even after you rj server or even reload game.
future plans:
1) still thinking about how to make APM counter
2) dunno

Thats the color i talk to you mistral, check this thread, scroll down and watch the screenshot, would be amazing if we can have that color instead of pink aka black.
Because let's be honnest, this green color must be the best of all lol

I dont think we can use that color on forest setting.
And this is way too complicated for slow brain like me.
Also you see that swamp tilt sett, that would be cool if you can switch those mushroom for threes...
I know im crazy, but you want ideas lol.
Because this tilt sett is super nice, but the mushroom ruin everything, so if we can switch threes for mushroom that would be amazing.

Here's a suggestion to improve the game immensely - can we take away the war latency messages at the start of each game?

I realize you also add a timer wich is pretty nice, but i think it would be better if the timers start when you build the first building, will be better for peoples whos move from position.
Exemple 8 to s9, 6 to s6 or going to middle.
Because timers kinda false if you move.
Second thing, i already had a yellow timers from lambchop, how do i remove it?

Just remove plugin from folder.
But you can use them both if you want))
Cuz hes time counting seconds with system clock time.
And my timer counting game ticks and then converts them to sec.
And one important thing is that my timer stops when game pause but plugin timer going always

8 to s9
The meaning of this timer is just to designate the exact time from the beginning of the game.
So if you go 8 -> 9s - it shows how far you are behind someone born at 12.
Ticks is even more good - it shows comparable timings at any speed (F, EF, same ticks count for build farm etc)

Well, I can make a special patch with green "black" for all tilesets.
But for this you need some things:
1. Most important:
a) you stop blaming iL or any other admins,
b) and stop crying nonsense about MPQ, because you do not understand how it works.
(...waiting for your confirmation)
2. Using Tilesets where the green will be bad to distinguish on minimap you will need one of these plugins:
a) minimap_black.w2p
it just turn black to gray at minimap (bad thing it can not be disabled on the fly)
b) allied_color.w2p (mod attached)
by pressing Ins key you switch regular minimap colors to special:
allies - blue
enemy - orange, which is well noticeable on any tileset

Something is messed up, spawns are fixed. Try play gow, someone will spawn 6 everytime, been all day. Alf had 6 - all day long, lol :D

Update - added APM counter
you can find and enable it in menu where timer was (F6 or little button left from gold)
its counting now
1) right click
2) place building
3) cancel bulding
4) train unit (or upgrade)
5) cancel unit (or upgrade)
6) action (move, attak, stop, cast spell, etc...)
7) select unit
8 ) create group (ctrl+1 and etc)
9) select group (1 or alt+1 and etc)
maybe im still missing some things that needs to count?

€: Please someone make a news for all the new features. There is lots of stuff going on recently (league, ladder saisons etc.) that should be news.

I just a few games where 1 player dropped after 1 or 2 mins into the game. Is something bugged?

Just dropped from a 2v2 Gow game.

I tried play some 1s today, 4 out of 5 games my opponent dropped. Never experienced that kind of dropping before in war2. After a min or so, just drop with no lag... I use OpenGL as renderer, and the pink uggly star next to pause button is not working. And the observer menu is very buggy with this renderer.

It seems if someone spawns 4 on how they drop about 2 minutes in. I know if you play gow on fixed order the host starts at 4 so maybe if someone spawns on the maps first starting location they drop? I was able to play an arena game vs talrand and neither of us dropped then we tried 2 games after and someone would drop 2 minutes in.

Also, would it be easier to reverse engineer war2 or start from scratch to add a 3rd race?

this is impossible cuz when players stops receiving packets from someone and there is appears table that counting seconds and after it done there is button "drop players".
so when this happens all sending and receiving of packets is completely stopped.
and chat messages are sending with packets too.

Lale- and Disgruntled were dropping too. DG was asap. Lale- was like 2-3mins into the game. Not just GOW, we played AYN 2-3 times.
Also, any chance that on like, a practice map, you could have unlimited time outs? When I try to teach new people it is VERY difficult to type/explain things and do it on the fly. When I pause, I can explain things b4 they happen and show them. This would be a very useful tool but only as some sort of practice map. If we are trying to grow the game, it's best that people understand it. I've never had a new person say no to me teaching them how to play.
On top of that, a peon at each spot, as well as a ton of gold, so I can use each spot without having to get resources/running out. (I guess I could edit that myself)
Naturally, not GOW, or we'd be in the game for 15mins and only have 2 mins of game play when we play with PB.

You are dropping with drop screen. The weird drops I've seen is sudden drops without drop screen. I think most likely you got an issue at your end Droid :/

Well, maybe ELE, first i got WARVID ERRORS, so I shut it down, then Insight dropped me a few times.
But those drops are somehow connected to the all new shit I guess.
Also, maybe the timer plugin, who knows, gotta test it all.
